Cancellation Period
I was told on Friday I had a late cancellation fee to pay as I had gone over by 28 seconds eg: I thought I cancelled at 4pm, which would be exactly 4hrs before the class at 8pm. It was pointed out to me that I had cancelled at 16:00:28!! I was going to cancel my membership if it wasn’t for the wonderful instructors who take the classes I attend. Also I have met some amazing teachers/people in the classes who have really helped me move forward.
If it was just the management team I had to consider I would have cancelled my membership. I’m still waiting to hear back from management to a message I had sent last year!! When I spoke to someone at the front desk I was told that no one checks the in box I had sent the message to. Yet the manager told me yesterday that all inboxes are checked!! The management team need to get their act together instead of making excuses most of the time.
Believe me I really would have cancelled my membership if it wasn’t for the instructors and the people who attend the classes. I am within the 14 days cancellation period!!
Terrible
The staff stand at the front desk on their mobile phones and dont take care of the gym.
The place gets over crowded by large groups of young lads who disrespect others, the equipment and regularly let in non paying members through the fire exit.
When trying to speak to customer services you dont get a response.

Massive Thanks to my Swim teacher Lawrence St Ledger
I began my swimming journey at Langley Leisure Centre following a deeply distressing near-drowning experience at an indoor water park. That incident left me with a profound fear of water, particularly the deep end, and no prior swimming experience whatsoever. Enrolling in adult beginner swimming lessons was not merely about learning a new skill; it was about rebuilding confidence, overcoming trauma, and regaining a sense of control. From the very first lesson, Lawrence St Ledger played a pivotal role in that transformation.
Starting entirely from scratch, I was initially anxious about my ability to progress. Lawrence immediately put me at ease with his calm, reassuring approach. One piece of advice he gave me early on has stayed with me throughout my journey: to “chill out” and treat the one-hour lesson as time away from the outside world. This mindset shift was powerful. Lawrence consistently ensures that his students are not only learning correct technique but are also genuinely enjoying the process. His teaching style is patient, structured, and encouraging, complemented by a cheerful personality, infectious humour, and unwavering positivity.
What truly sets Lawrence apart is his ability to push his students just enough to help them realise their own potential, while never allowing them to feel overwhelmed. Over the past few weeks, his continuous motivation and belief in my abilities have led to progress that I once thought impossible. I moved from swimming 28 lengths in an hour, to 32 the following week, and today I achieved 40 lengths in a single session. For someone who once feared even approaching the deep end, this accomplishment feels nothing short of extraordinary.
Lawrence’s support, professionalism, and dedication have been instrumental in this achievement. He creates a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment where confidence is built naturally and progress feels attainable. I can say with complete confidence that this journey would not have been possible without his expertise and encouragement. Lawrence St Ledger is an exceptional swimming instructor, and I would highly recommend him to any adult learner—especially those overcoming fear—who is seeking not only to learn how to swim, but to truly transform their relationship with the water.
The dirtiest floor I have ever seen
The dirtiest floor I have ever seen (Langley Leisure Centre).
I complained about it 1 year ago and didn’t come back since. I fancied a swim last night so thought I’d see if it had improved.
It has not. The changing area is disgusting and actually vile. Who is in charge of this place?? What are they doing? The floor is dark brown with filth.
I’m sorry but buying some bleach and a mop bucket doesn’t cost much.
The changing rooms are also full of hair… all of them! I had to look in about 10 cubicles and choose the best one (which was still filthy).
My kids had great swim lessons here a few years ago, it’s a great local facility, but I wouldn’t bring them here now.
The state of the floor in the changing rooms is pure neglect and laziness.
Posting a review publicly in the hopes action can be taken.

Best swimming teacher and kind staffs
The best decision I ever made for my special need daughter to join Summer 2025 Swimming Crash Course. Really appreciate the Swim Teacher Jadyen at Langley Leisure Centre who has very good patience and understanding of child's needs. My daughter really enjoyed the lessons and never thought she would be able to do that. Jayden is very motivating swim teacher. This crash course really helped to overcome her fear of putting her face in the water or she feel much more confident in the water now, thanks to Jayden and staffs at Langley Leisure Centre.
Definitely will recommend to my friends and family.

I’ve been going to LLC for several years. Generally speaking their standards are ok, however, their staff in particular Hassan is very supportive, understanding and respectful. Hi communication skills are very good. I’ve had several issues in the past which meant I had to speak to Hassan. He listened and tried to help solve the problem. He is a good communicator and empathetic. LLC are very lucky to have him as an asset.

Don't join this gym.
I have been a member at this gym for over 16 years. It used to be amazing. Since the refurb and change of staff, it's awful. Staff are rude, machines often broken, never able to book swimming or classes. To make it worse, the price it outrageous. I contacted them to discuss this and was told "it has been passed on to the relevant department." never heard a thing back. Trying to find a gym now that doesn't rip you off and who's staff are actually nice. Don't know who the manager is, but they are clearly awful. Bring back normal pricing and the old staff, who were so lovely.

Shocking behaviour of staff Ben (Langley Leisure centre)
Langley Leisure centre: When I approached a staff member, Ben, to inquire about an issue with the membership QR code that I was unable to register online, he responded by shouting at me in front of others. His reaction was not only unprofessional but also made me feel disrespected.
Additionally, his behaviour was aggressive—he nearly threw the walkie-talkie in frustration. While he later apologized after I addressed his conduct, the experience left me feeling deeply upset. I believe that all customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and professionalism, and I expect a response from management regarding this unacceptable interaction.

I have joined Langley everyone active…
I have joined Langley everyone active gym in September 2024 ever since that day all I see is equipment broken down and nothing is done about it. There are two leg curling machines which broke down over two months ago and to this day they are still broken. I only use the gym no other facility and I pay the full membership because they won’t give me concession for just using the gym now if o am paying the full membership I expect to be able to use every equipment that I need to use available but alas no. If this continues I will be leaving the gym and will make sure none of my friends who want to join a gym come to everyone active in Langley. It seems like they love to take your money but can’t be bothered to invest in the equipment, someone is making a healthy profit from the paying members. So basically if anyone out there wants to join a gym I won’t even bother looking at everyone active in Langley. On a happier note I will say the staff in the gym are great and very helpful.

Such a worst place to be for your kids…
Such a worst place to be for your kids ! Just a money making place where no one bothers to teach actual swimming lessons to kids ! If you complain they say stop direct debit and leave it . Who were really good swimming teachers, are not here any more ! Think 10 times before joining this place as it’s not worth of your time and money !

The staff is very rude for starters…
The staff is very rude for starters even the gym manager - supposedly the new managers had hopes up for no reason. Their favourite sentence is “we cant do anything about it”. This gym just favour their own staff whenever there is an issue and obviously side with them even if the manager is called and totally ignore the customers.
The £2 holiday sessions are great for non- member ls but their own members who are already paying for full month membership are forced to pay the extra charges - for what????
Spoke to duty manager regarding this and met with pathetic response - “ we already had alot of complaints regarding this but i cant do anything about this”???? Clearly not the brightest people hired by this center.
Also, when you raise an issue they start to nit and pick around other things apart from the actual issue - how many people along with kids in the pool, even after explaining more adults joining later on “well we cant let you in, are they booked, what are their names - i mean what the ffff??Why would you ask me for their personal information and how would i know if they paid or not?? Clearly not trained.
The center is quiet dirty as a whole too - showers/changing rooms always dirty, shower water is set on one very hot setting and i actually burnt my kid skin because you dont get to choose the setting of water. Even the inside of pool is quiet dirty - too many hair get stuck to your mouth when swimming.

Cancelled Membership
Cancelled my gym membership today after several years at Langley Leisure Centre. Recently, I’ve rarely used it. The jacuzzi often is out-of-order, and the steam room is possibly the smallest in the world (possibly designed for homes and not leisure centres) and always crowded. The treadmills are frequently occupied or out of order (touch-screen don't work correctly on all of them). I reported these issues years ago, but nothing is genuinely taken seriously.
Jacuzzi/Steam room is always breaking…waste of money
Jacuzzi/Steam room is always breaking down and it take years to get it fixed, if you complain, the staff are unhelpful like they don't give a monkeys.
The spa is the only reason I become a member of I don't get that what's use of keep paying.
Whenever I ring up the receptionist, nobody picks up the phone.

Such a worst services
Such a worst services, I received ever in my life. I took a membership showing 11 plus with 1 month free. I wasn't able to book the classes, ame ded so many extra charges from the transactions and now when I cancel my subscription because of so much hassle they finished my membership and I can't use it at all. I am checking this situation from last 2 weeks but they don't have any reply. Seems like they are with storage system and don't have updated records or activities. They don't reply on your queries and don't pick the phones...be careful to take membership

Just join!!
As a long standing member of Langley Leisure Centre I highly recommend the facilities and staff. It is a clean, friendly and relaxed centre. The fitness classes are excellent, both the range of classes and quality of teaching. The cost of membership is very good value.
