Service of the facilities is poor and I don’t get why this has 4 stars in general.

They can be one month or more with a leak in the sink waisting water a lot and they don’t care. They don’t send anyone to fix it.

Lockers are in poor condition, hair dryers are in poor condition, the olympic pool is dirty, not even sometimes the necessary things at the gym like paper to clean yourself and the machines after doing exercise.

They do since they got the licence with this place lot of private events, they got more people memberships also so they are doing more money than Better gym was doing in general but they (Better Gym) never let something like this happen for more than a day.

So now everyone active has almost every weekend a private event so you can’t use the olympic pool. They are getting lot of money but they don’t want to spent anything to maintain this place at all.

Poor help from the people in the desks and they don’t care about these complaints they basically don’t do anything.

And still the waste of water is happening you can go a see. I even have videos and photos of this.

I spend so much time at this leisure centre. Memberships are a very reasonable price, the kids have learned to swim here, the exercise classes are good, and the sauna and steam room have recently been refitted. Occasionally tricky to get through on the phone, so avoid calling at busy times. Highly recommended regardless, and David in the membership team is great - always cheerful, and helpful!

Really impressed with the reception staff. This was my first visit for swimming and she was so welcoming and informative.
The changing rooms were very clean and the pool was excellent.

Swimming lessons are great value for money, Rumun is fantastic with my little one.

Absolutely disgusting place. It's extremely dirty, changing rooms smell of urine 90% of the time and the staff are extremely rude and incompetent. Sean the manager of the gym, threatened my 10 year old son and has now conspired with staff to defend his lie. I was refused access to the wellbeing programme. I was refused access to the multisports sessions and my son and I was refused seating in the cafe 40 minutes before the cafe closing time. I have requested their company policy 3 times,, my request has not been met and my emails are being ignored by management. I have now cancelled our memberships but they trapped us for a extra month by taking a month payment in advance. So we have to grin an bare another 30 days at this hell hole. The end of June cannot come quick enough.

I used this Everyone Active every week on a Sunday to swim for an hour and I have to say that it has been so wonderful. I really have missed the experience of swimming and coming here has allowed me to recapture that. Staff are lovely and you're mostly left to your own devices should you know what you're doing.

The Stratford Leisure Centre provides some excellent facilities and an impressive range of classes and activities. As a regular user I am always impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff are. Without a doubt my visits have been of great benefit to my health and well-being - and at such a reasonable cost.

Appreciate its only £40 pm and I reluctantly accept its pretty dirty throughout and the staff ignore you. But 4 times this week Ive had to highlight to the front desk that there are no toilet rolls in the (male) changing room.......this is so basic that these checks are not being completed, please do better.

this is chaos. 1 teacher(young lad) a 9 swimmers.
where is structure lessons, where is teaching point?do u prefer quantity instead of quantity?!

I use Stratford Leisure Centre on a regular basis and continue to be impressed by the facilities on offer, the value for money and the very helpful and friendly staff. It is also great to be able to use the cafe after any sessions at the Centre to relax with friends. Overall, the Centre provides a brilliant service and deserves to be highly recommended.

Overall very good and people working to improve the service. Good facilities and quite modern and with up to date equipment. Plenty space inside and outside.
Some of the toilet / wash areas now looking tired and should be improved.

Nice leisure centre with a clean pool and the benefit of a tag active area alongside a gym and café. Lockers require an old pound coin or a token so go prepared! Staff are very welcoming and helpful.

Then toilets in reception area need to be CLEANED properly sweep first then mop not just push the dirt around with a wet mop.
The new arrangements with the lockers is ridiculous. I need glasses to read small print how am I supposed to read the padlock when I have no glasses on after having had a swim. Need padlocks white on black and larger writing. Also we should have a refund for tokens bought.

Ok so it’s Christmas and new year and I want to check gym opening times.

I call the centre and the first thing told is times are all on the app.

If I continue to speak to reception I am constantly told with a recorded meaaage that opening times are on the app

Naturally - I cannot get thorough (every year - same thing happens despite moaning about jt ) . I cannot get through due to high call volume?

The reason why the high call volume is because the standard opening times are on the app but none of the holiday period times are.

So the only time regulars need to check on a time - the app is completely useless and that’s why they are spending their whole day answering phone calls asking about opening hours

If they even had a sign on reception leading up to Christmas period or take away sheets with opening times?

The place is run with so little thought i which leads to constant frustration

Swimming classes need work. Cheap but zero feedback, the app is never updated, we had no idea where our daughter was with her progress and groups were large and chaotic. Bad habits sneaked in due to no real teaching, and flawed technique is now being corrected by a different instructor paying more attention. 100m badge was denied because of a foot brushing the floor despite the pool being too deep for this to be possible for our 7 year old and the last few metres of the pool roped off for another class. We did voice our concerns and dissatisfaction and were told we’d get a call but never did and were told if we weren’t happy, just cancel the direct debit. Wouldn’t recommend.

Took my 8 month old and 1 year old nephew to the baby pool the temperature of the pool was so cold my nephews lips went blue and my 8 month old was shivering asked about the temperature of the water took someone 20 mins to respond and check the water .
Apparently the water was 29.5c which it is allowed to be 30-38 . A few people were saying how cold it is . The staff didn’t care . We complained at the desk ,hoping for our money back ,but we were told someone would call us in fairness they did a couple of hours later but the outcome was pretty useless , basically credited the account and refused to refund us even though we won’t be going again.
The experience was poor and the staff are not helpful or caring at all !!!!!

I've recently started going to the Wellness Suite in order to improve my general fitness after a back injury. I am really impressed with the staff at the Centre: everyone is so friendly and helpful, and the facilities are great.

Stratford leisure centre has continued to offer superb fitness services and extremely helpful staff. I have been a member now for over 15 years and really admire the excellent services they continue to provide including over the pandemic and through renovations. Thank you.
