Excer helpdesk and pickup station is extraordinary!

Our flight was canceled, and it was evident that we would arrive at our destination two days later than planned. I contacted the provider through which I had made the reservation, but unfortunately, it led to no substantial outcome. Then, I reached out directly to the Exer Helpdesk. Wow! They solved my problem immediately. Also, when I went to pick up the car at the airport, they were already informed about my case and provided great support. Thanks! In the future, I will book directly through Exer without any intermediary.

Had to pay more money than necessary

Very unflexible staff. Even though it said online that we needed a Credit Card, we were surprised that my Visa was rejected, because the system claimed it was a debit card…we never had that problem before.
Nevertheless, we wanted to Switch to another card, which wasn‘t possible. So we had to pay more than 100€ for “insurance“ although we had already booked full insurance.
Fun fact: The Debit Card that could not be accepted to pay for the car, was acceptable now.
One of the biggest scams I‘ve ever experienced.
I‘m not using Exer ever again!

They tried to force me to take a lower…

They tried to force me to take a lower level car than I booked. I opposed it and they had to accept to give me similar car I booked.
I also booked a baby seat but they could not provide and gave us a dirty basket instead of fully functional baby seat. (It was f*ckin 50 euros for dirty basket)

Great Car Rental Oppertunity

Very fast and easy Check In.

Pick up at the airport.
I was a bit lost a the beginning but i just called the office and they immediately picked up and guided me to the Van that was waiting.

Check Out was also completely easy. I didn’t feel like getting scammed ot that that tried to hide damages to the car from me at all.
Very professional service.

Defenitely recommend booking your car here!

Customer service needs development

Customer service needs a lot of development. Arriving at the airport, I looked for a person who was promised to meet me, not finding them I called the company and a woman answered who shouted and gave vague instructions on where to go, as I understood there is no one to meet and greet you as promised. The shuttle bus came after 25 minutes of waiting outside in the hot weather and took me to the office. While signing the papers the woman kept shouting at the phone which was very disturbing. The rental car itself was nice and new, but there had been smoked inside. Later, when I returned the car, I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to deal with me which added a lot of stress, luckily I made it to my flight on time.

The Athens station team was Amazing!

The Athens station team was Amazing!
When picking up the car, we realized that it smells of cigarettes. They quickly replaced to another car and allowed us starting our trip without delays.
Few hours before returning the car, someone broke into our car and stole our passports. When arriving at the station, the team helped us to quickly close all the procedures and then took us to the police station. They espouse until we wee sure we can get on our flight.
To conclude, the service was amazing and we will highly recommend Exer to our friends

Not the best

It was not mentioned that when you upgrade to full insurance on place when receiving the car, it will cost 100% more than what was written on the website. The car was weak and I reserved a Toyota Aygo, they gave me Nissan Micra as “an upgrade”. Other than that, the lady was kind.

Very Bad

We received a car in Kos with a broken trunk (it couldn't be opened). The lady at check in had a rude attitude and kept repeating that she didn't see what problem it could cause. First of all I paid for a whole car, not a car with a broken trunk. I also have shoulder problems and loading/unloading luggage from the back seats would have been a problem. The worst thing however was the attitude of the employee.

No good experience. Would not book again.

Pickup went very well. Return was tortuous. Staff checked car thoroughly, almost wanting to find a scratch. Which he finally did. A scatch at the left fender. He made a very lengthy report. This was ok so far. But than he made us pay again the car rental which we paid already at pickup. We repeatedly told him that we paid but he was very stubborn. We agreed to pay again as we had to catch a flight. The double payment was reimboursed afterwards but the whole procedure left a bitter aftertaste. We would not book again.

Booked through our holiday company…

Booked through our holiday company (Jet2), we were pleased that Exer was only a short hop from Rhodes airport and that everything was as described. Exer took photos of the car (which we duplicated) immediately before we took it over. There were several blemishes but nothing serious and we returned it in the same condition - which was quickly verified by Exer. A quick and easy easy process.

EXER for the second time

I rented a car at EXER for the second time, first time was on Crete, this time Thessaloniki. My experience was positive. I called them from the airport and they picked me up within 5 minutes. I booked the budget option through check24.com but got a new Citroen DS3 (I was a little bit afraid to scratch it because the roads are not always good!)
I did not experience any problems, the staff was friendly and helpful!
Please note that now they now take pictures of the car instead of mark damages on paper. You should do the same to have proof, just in case

Car with faulty gearbox.

Pros: Agent waited at the airport and dropped us at the car rental.

Cons: Delay with car availability during pick-up. The car that we were given (older Hyundai i20) was in rather poor condition, weird noises coming from the car all the time, my assumption is that the issue was with clutch and gearbox. The biggest issue was with putting the 3rd gear in place. After all we somehow managed to use the car for the 4 day rental period not having to waist our time with car replacement.
