Way Too Expensive

I made a 10:30 appointment to have my serpentine belt and tensioner replaced. I waited in the store while the work was being done. Estimate was 1-2 hours wait time. After 2 hours, the manager took me to the mechanic to show me what was wrong (rear brakes, rack and pinion, etc.) The parts had not been ordered at that point. I told the counter man I just wanted the belt and tensioner because he said the rack and pinion alone would be "well over $5000". He tried hard for me to get my back brakes done at the same time. I said no. Meanwhile, the mechanic showed me the tensioner and showed the shaft was bent. Tensioners don't get a bent shaft by themselves. I also think he loosened my battery cable to get me to buy new cables. He suggested that I get new spark plus. I replaced the plugs a month ago, I sat there for 4 hours to have a belt replaced. Also, they double the cost of parts. The Auto zone belt is $44. They charged me$116.99. The Auto Zone tensioner costs $132. They charged me $257.99. The total for the work was $725.16. Needless to say, I am not going back to Firestone Auto Care. IMO, it's a rip off. Yes, they do good work, but they overcharge for the work. If you have a choice, don't go to Firestone Auto Care.

Appointments Don't Matter

I made an appointment at 10:00 a.m. on September 7, 2025, for five new tires and an oil change. I arrived at the appointment as scheduled and was told the job would take two and a half hours, so I didn't wait there at the store. 12:30pm, it came and went, then 1:30pm came and went. So, at 1:45pm, I called to check on the status of the work. I was told, "We're still working on it". At 2:07pm, I got an alert on my phone, saying that my tire pressure was low. (I have an app that will allow me to lock and unlock my vehicle and it notifies me of any issues it tracks with it as well). So, according to my app, my vehicle wasn't even TOUCHED until 2:07pm! At 3:45pm, I got a call stating that the vehicle is ready to be picked up and was asked if I wasn't going to be able to make it to the shop to pick it up by 4:15pm, they would have to close the shop and I would have to pick up my vehicle the next day! I don't live far from the QC shop where my vehicle was, so I made it by 4:00pm.
When I voiced my displeasure that a two-and-a-half-hour job turned into an almost 6-hour job, and that I knew they didn't even touch my vehicle until 4 hours after my SCHEDULED appointment, I was met with, "At least it's done". Really? DO BETTER. Do better all around. Had I waited, would my vehicle have been done in the said two and a half hours? Makes no sense to me. I requested a call from the store manager, Ryan, two days ago, but there was no callback. I asked to be contacted by corporate to let them know how I was treated in their store, but I received no callback. Just wow.

Update: As of today 9/22/25 I have still not heard anything from Ryan the manager, or the customer service department for Firestone.

I brought my car to Firestone to get…

I brought my car to Firestone to get all new tires (4). When I got it back one of my rims was different from my other 3! I went back there this morning only to be told that they didn't make a mistake. They told me it was impossible that the only other Nissan used 17-in while mine was 18 in. I asked them to roll the cameras. They told me they don't have cameras. The store manager is Anthony Cummins. I asked him to give me the name and number of the person that's over him. He would not. Instead he said he called himself and the only solution is for me to file a complaint online. My rims are blacked out, and now I've got three blacked out rims and one silver!

No Confirmation Using Online Appointment Maker

I used their online appointment calendar to schedule an oil change for tomorrow - after being prompted by an email where they told me it was time to get an oil change. They had four spots available for tomorrow. I submitted the request, and it said pending. The rest of the day went by, and I never got any confirmation. Firestone just gets worse and worse with poor customer service.

Buyer Beware in Holly Springs, NC

The Firestone Center on GB Alford Hwy in Holly Springs, NC does not honor the warranty on their tires. Manager made up rules so tire warranty could be voided. Manager had a chance to do the right thing and make a life long customer ( even if they had pro-rated the cost of the new tires) but chose to make sure we NEVER do business with them again. This center currently has a 2.8 out of 5 star rating. We messaged Firestone on FB and were told that the manager would make contact in 2 business days. This did NOT happen, Now we are being told that an area manager will contact us, once again, in 2 business days. We are not holding our breath. That's ok. The more time they put us off, the more time we have to make sure everyone knows about our experience at this center.

Sabotage

Wife took the altima that I have been driving for an alignment. They wanted to replace the windshield washer fluid reservoir, for almost $400, they said it was leaking. She declined the service. When she told me I immediately new what was up. The reservoir wasn't leaking before it was taken to them but it had a large crack in it when she brought it home. I am 100 percent sure appon my inspection they purposely damaged the reservoir just to run up the bill. I will never use them for anything ever again.

Claim department told me I have to get an estimate from local body shop for this claim. I sent an estimate yesterday. Claim department customer representative told me my vehicle value less than this estimate, they can send $500 check. By the way damage repair estimate was $3,650 What can I do ? Its fair ?

Loyal No More - They Will Rip You Off

Firestone said that I needed a new alternator which seemed odd since it had been less than 5 years since my last one, but I trusted them. While doing this, the service tech messed up my Acura MDX sound system and ac.

The manager said to take it to Acura dealership and they would reimburse me for repairs. The Acura dealership fixed the problems, but they did inform me that my alternator had not been replaced. It was too work to be new.

When I went back, the manager had been fired and replaced. The new manager let me know that this was the old manager's problem and wouldn't even check the alternator to confirm what the dealership found.

A year later of back and forth, Firestone is now saying it's too late to investigate this problem. I can't belive how many Better Business Bureau complaints they have (over 2K) they haven't even responded too letting me know corporate is aware of the problems.

What used to be a great company and location is a true 'buyer beware' now.

Great service with competitive pricing

I have been coming to Firestone in New London since I moved back to CT 2 years ago. They have done a great job every time! Rich, who is at the front desk, is thorough, a clear communicator and also has been very helpful when I have had other car issues in suggesting solutions that fit with my timing and budget.
I recently came for an oil change, but was also having a window issue that they were able to diagnose and fix in about 15 minutes.
I highly recommend them!!

Firestone in Kirkland WA, tried to convince me, my tire had to be replace due to a flat. I suspected they where lying. I took the car to another shop nearby, and the repair was easy and has worked for a year until i sold the car.

I was a loyal Firestone customer

I am a loyal Firestone customer. My Nissan Rouge began making a strange knocking sound, so I made an appointment with the Firestone Auto Care nearest me that I usually use. They had a staffing shortage and needed to reschedule my appt to the following day. On my way to the appt, the engine light came on. So I advised that in addition to the strange noise, the engine light also just came on. The representative shared that I needed to go to one of the other locations as they did not have a functioning diagnostic for the engine light. I called the Brittain Rd location and shared that the car was making a strange knocking sound and that my engine light just came on as well. She was able to schedule me for a same day appt. I shared the same story upon my arrival and the car was taken back to determine the issue. I was told that the car needed a catalytic related part totaling $1600+. I approved the repair, believing in good faith that Firestone would always care for my car appropriately and I was in good hands. After picking the car up, he sound was still there, so I took it back. I was not treated as a valued customer but rather as an idiot. I KNOW what I said the problem was, yet the noise was never diagnosed. Instead a more costly repair was preformed. I was told that now the car needs a pulley and a belt related to the AC compressor and would cost an additional $800+. After a lengthy discussion the management returned to offer a $200 discount. I feel disrespected and taken advantage of as a woman who put her trust in the Firestone name. My Grandfather and Father were loyal customers as well and instilled that trust. I cannot adequately express my disappointment and dissatisfaction.

My review WAS 5 stars now it is not

I once praised this location and its team. I meant every word at the time. But now, after what’s happened to my vehicle and the danger my family was put in, I fully retract that review.

Firestone destroyed my vehicle. Not by accident — but by a repeated, careless pattern of failure, denial, and blatant disrespect. They put me and my spouse at risk; we drove across state lines in a car that never should’ve left the lot. The fact that we weren’t seriously injured or worse isn’t just luck — it’s grace.

According to Luke Firestone everything was handled, all warranty work was completed, and there was nothing more to be done. Except, of course, it was still broken — because the components that should’ve been installed were never actually there. It’s not confusion. It’s not miscommunication. It’s negligence, plain and simple.

Let’s not forget where this shop is located: on a military base. The very place where integrity, honor, and accountability are supposed to matter. And yet, this is how customers — including military families — are treated? No sense of urgency. No ownership of mistakes. No respect for the people they’re serving.

As if that weren’t enough, vehicles are regularly left outside unsecured, hoods wide open, overnight — before and after business hours. On base or not, that’s not just sloppy. It’s irresponsible.

So no — I no longer recommend this location nor any Firestone. Not for service. Not for honesty. Not for anything. And if you’re a military spouse, service member, or anyone who values safety, trust, or basic decency — I’d advise you to run, not walk, in the opposite direction.

May God bless every customer who walks through those doors — because if your experience looks anything like mine, you’re going to need it.

Do not go here!!!

Do not go here!!!! If I could give it zero stars I would. The auto stop function of my mini van stopped working so we brought it in to be serviced. The auto stop feature has an auxiliary battery, which was actually the problem but they said it killed the main battery and the alternator as well. They told me the alternator was $1000 and &500 to install…total bill $2200. They told me the alternator was only putting out 12.3 volts ant the battery had 300 CCA (cold Cranking Amps). Not having that kind of money we elected to pickup the vehicle as is. When we arrived, I put a meter on it and the alternator was putting out a perfect 14.5 volts, I asked if they wanted to go out and put their meter on it to see if there was a problem with their meter and they wanted nothing to do with that.
I got the vehicle home and brought the battery in to be tested and it was perfect at 640 CCA… not 300!!!
I replaced the auxiliary battery for $160, which took me 12 minutes to install and the vehicle has been running perfectly ever since. Firestone takes advantage of people that can’t double check their work to see that they are giving them erroneous test results and replacing parts that do not need to be replaced. It is such a scam they should be shut down and employees arrested for their deceptive practices.

Do not use Firestone @ 1255 Sun Market…

Do not use Firestone @ 1255 Sun Market Pl, North Port, FL 34288

I prefer to leave reviews praising the businesses I use but sometimes you must caution other customers or potential customers by informing them of your experience. This was mine on July 25th, 2025, and why I will not be returning or suggesting this Firestone anymore. The prior Wednesday I noticed the front tires on my truck were wearing on the edge and figured I needed an alignment, so I scheduled an appointment at this Firestone for Friday at 9am. I know this location can be busy, so I wanted to give them enough time before I had to pick my daughter up at daycare. I spoke to the man in the lobby, and we looked at it and he also thought it needed an alignment. He also suggested I get an oil change being my truck was just over 40,000 miles and I agreed to it. I got a ride home and waited. Around 2:30 I had not heard from them, so I called and checked on my truck’s status. He let me know that they were just about done and would call me when it was ready. After another hour went by, I got a ride back to see if it was ready. Pulling into the parking lot I noticed my truck was still backed into the spot I left it in which had me a little worried but was hoping it was ready, and they put it back the same way. When I let the lady know, I was there to pick up my truck she started searching for my keys and invoice and could not find them. The man from earlier came out to let me know they had not started on it yet. I was surprised and confused due to the fact I had dropped it off over 6 hours ago. I asked for my keys, and they offered to pull it in immediately, but I knew even if they did that, I would be late picking up my daughter, so I declined. I was then offered to bring it in the next day, but I had to work which is why I had scheduled it for Friday to begin with, so I declined that offer as well. I asked why I was told it was almost ready earlier which the response I received was they thought I was talking about another F150. That could be true, but I think if someone calls to inquire about their vehicle you should do your due diligence in making sure you have an accurate answer. I was also told because I left it there, they work on the ones people stay and wait for first. This also could be true but when I dropped it off there was no one else there and when I came to pick it up there was only one person waiting and no one notified me that that was the procedure. I waited 3 days before making this review because I wanted to see if anyone would reach out to me, which never happened. I will also be informing the corporate office of this experience but regardless I will not be returning. I have used this Firestone several times for my vehicles but that will not be happening anymore. With this customer they lost 3 vehicles, but I doubt they really care. So, in conclusion, if you are in search of an auto center that treats you like you are more than just a number and value your business this is not the place to go.

Be WARNED!

Be WARNED!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE!!
I went in for a oil change and tire rotation and my vehichle is ruined, covered in oil and inoperable. On 7/12/2025 I spent 4 hours waiting to get my truck in the garage,(I had a appointment) but they were busy and very overwhelmed!! THIS IS A VERY CLEAN SHOW TRUCK BUILD!.. first I got in to see a extremely dark hand printon my WHITE grab bar (interior),my glove box all mess i than checked the engine! It had oil spilled over my motor and around the oil fill, very careless. I was so upset I told myself not to react out of anger (I had a 5yo wt me). As soon as I arrived at my destination my motor was smoking,I opened the hood to see more oil and oil pouring out of the underside of my engine, all on my paint, new Powerstop brakes, uplift kit and custom lighting!! Over $7k in accessories ruined.. they were closed so I took photos, messaged in via the website about the issues. In the am the store manager called me and told me to bring it in and he would fix it. I explained there is so much oil I am not sure if I can drive it. He told me he had NO tow truck available. At this point I am not willing to drive it because I DO NOT WANT TO CAUSE DAMAGE nor did I know if there was any at the time. Call after call, the store manager was going to make a HOUSE CALL to my home which never happened!! I requested a loaner vehichle so i could work, they refused!! I missed 5 days of work! It has stressed me and my family out beyond belief. Costing me extra to order groceriesetc...I ran out of money, missed my child's physical to attend kindergarten and more.. I am still dealing with it after exactly 2 weeks today!! They have told me they will fix it,however they do not offer professional cleaning services, and could not do the oil change correctly the first time. The claim advisor has been very Rude and closed my claim, leaving me no choice than to pay out ALOT OF MONEY for proper repairs, get my entire interior, engine bay, undercarriage abd paint cleaned costs $2250.00 due to the oil. The recommended "dry ice" treatment is almost double that amount. I di not trust my rubber components are ok after being coveted in engine oil for 2 weeks,so I am at a loss for now.. I opened a new claim with them.. I just feel I should be compensated for all the mental anguish, lost wages, and MY HARD EARNED MONEY SPENT ON PARTS THAT are ruined. I will never look at my truck the same even when it gets resolved!! The really dont care about people. Do yourself a favor and take your car anywhere but here! Oil changes are the easiest thing in the auto repair, just about every one does them.. A name is not a thing you can trust, read reviews ppl..

Firestone Complete Auto Care of toms river

Firestone Complete Auto Care
I've been going to them for years, but yesterday July 23rd in a emergency situation I had to stop by the firestone on route 37 in Tom's River after speaking to their counter person and explained to him I just needed front brakes pads I didn't want to know anything else just front brake pads...I can do them myself just wasnt in the mood to deal with it...they decided that that on top of front break pads I also needed 2 new rotors and Two new calibers. He informed me that the right side caliber was frozen and the left side caliber was sticking....OH REALLY....so why is it I don't have my car pulling hard when I hit the breaks, he told me that at low speeds I wouldn't be able to feel the problem...my response to him was I'm on the parkway doing 85/90 and my car is as straight as a arrow hitting the brakes...still tried to tell me my car was in desperate need of these items that would cost 2400 dollars...and they wouldn't just do pads because of safety reasons, but they were willing to leave the damaged items I originally came in for and send me on my way....I understand companies need to make money but when you loose trust in your customers from taking advantage of them then the bottom line is you will loose customers and revenue all for the greedy corporate executive filling their pockets.
Folks beware of these corporate businesses that don't care one bit of you and the car you drive, they are told to upscale you everything they can and having a emergency and going to places like this they will take advantage of you or your loved ones...
You are better off going to a independent then places like this. FIRESTONE PLEASE RETRAIN YOUR PEOPLE...
125 dollars later on parts I bought and installed myself everything working properly saved myself 2300 dollars In rip off charges.
I will never be back for service

Coporate bait and switch

Went on the website. Ordered tires and scheduled a service appointment. Drove 30 mins. Got there and they didn't stock the tires and cannot order them manager said that they do this all the time on the website. Manager was polite and tried to get else a price close to what was online but it was too far off. Tried to file a complaint with coporate and they wanted to file one against the store for me. I explained it was the coporate side. Then they gave me a bogus number to a "president's desk." Bait and switch tactics. Pretty scummy.

I had an appointment in the morning to get 2 new tires for my fronts. I got there 10 mins before my 11am appointment. They didn't get to my car until around 1230p. Which is absolutely ridiculous. I get the fact that sometimes working on other peoples cars may take more time than expected but what's the point in making a 11am appointment if my car isn't going to be seen until nearly 2hrs later?? I understand from their point of view but they need to understand the customers point of view. Especially for such an easy job as changing 2 tires which takes 30 mins, if that! It wasn't even that busy there. I could have gone to a dedicated tire shop and would have been out a lot sooner. Ya'll need better communication with your customers. Even if they were short staffed or something they could have the courtesy to let people know that things may take longer to complete. I could of done other things with my free time instead of sitting there for 2hrs doing nothing. There was one person who got there after I arrived and was out before me and they had a break related job done. I'm not going back to Firestone for repairs or changes. Absolutely ridiculous.
