Horrendous. Untrustworthy. Disaster. Arrived at Manchester airport about 15 mins before scheduled time, called them to let them know and was ordered to wait on level 3 of the multi-storey. Waited 45 mins OVER scheduled time, with a flight to catch and 3 calls to the number asking where the driver was. Received a call from a different number from the driver that they were waiting in a different location. Miscommunication from their side meant we were late for check in, and also had to pay £7 for the driver to leave the multi-storey. Was told the car would be in the corner of the 3rd floor on return.
Came back from holiday 9 days later, right on time for return (11:45pm). Called them and said they’d be on their way. I waited and waited in the cold multi-storey car park in the early hours of the morning with my girlfriend (not the safest place you want to be hanging around). I called again 30 mins later for them to say they had lost my keys. No solution, just, they’ve lost the keys. I gave them some time as these things happen, but ended up waiting 2 hours and still no car.
It’s now almost 3am, I’m stranded in Manchester airport in some multi-storey car park. The phone operator named David, was arrogant and attutidey, like it was my fault they couldn’t find the keys. I thought as a push I’d say then my only option is to report the car as stolen to the police, of which his response was you can do that but if we turn up with your car you then legally can’t take it away (like they’d been threatened with it many times before).
I’m only 19 and this was my first time travelling, I had to get a lift off my dad home (about an hour away). In which when he called David and was stern with him, they hung up on him. They didn’t care one bit.
So it’s currently the day after, after lots of calls to various external companies we still got no further. However this is where the story takes a turn. As I’m young my car is monitored with a black box, therefore it has a tracking device. I was able to see where the car was parked, and how it’d been driven (aggressively), but that’s not really a surprise with these sort of things. I’d also like to mention that when I asked where the car was, the name of the driver who couldn’t find the keys, or to speak to a higher authority, I was denied all this information. Only when we spoke to managers who manage 1st choice, who then gave us numbers to other employees and we stated we know where the car is, the seemed to take a step back.
We stayed that we will come and get the car, as they still tried to fumble to try and find the keys. We spoke to an employee called Matt who said he thinks he’s found the keys, and that he’d meet us at the area the car is kept. 10 mins before we arrived, we called him and he confirmed he’d be there. Surprise- he was not. Two other employees who barely knew what day of the week it was to put it nicely.
Seeing the organisation of the car park, I won't disclose the address as I imagine there’s some contract I’ve signed to say not, but all I can say is a very pot hole filled, muddy, cheap plot of land with 1000’s of cars all blocked in, cm’s apart, insecure area. In other words, if you want to nick a car and get away with it, this is your place. Cars left with windows open, under trees covered in sap. Perfect if you like to polish your car every weekend.
Anyways, met these two other employees, didn’t have a clue where my keys were. All the keys are kept on a big loops, with about 200 keys on in a big cardboard box held in a trailer. Something you’d imagine they do maybe 20/30 years ago yeah, not now though. After offering us the wrong key multiple times, we found my car so we went and inspected it. Surprisingly it was how I left it, except covered in mud skids but at this point that’s none of my worries. As we walked back he just magically found my key, drove it through the compound and just said “Sorry about that mate”.
I drove away with my car without any documentation to prove I said who I was. Throughout I had no calls to me to update me on the situation. I was prepared to change the locks on my car if they couldn’t find the key. Awful doesn’t do justice.
All in all they don’t care about your car, your flight, your problems. They just pick your car up and drop it off when it suits them, ragging it around during the process. If your car is an important thing to you, stay well away and just order a cab, despite it being more expensive. I can only imagine the situation is worse off for families with young children etc.
I did get a refund from the manager of EAP Manchester ltd. He was vaguely helpful but still did not fully understand the severity of the situation.
Through research it seems this company runs for abit, then changes their name and phone number to refresh their image. This is scary and I will stick to a taxi to the airport for the future. Thanks if you read this far, I think I’m done with this rant.
I arranged for meet and greet
I arranged for meet and greet. I wasn't told the price didn't include the £8.50 pick up and drop off fees. They 'lost' my car when I called on landing. We had to wait for ages till they found it and when I got my car it was all sticky and brown. Next time I'll be using jetparks or on site parking.
Abysmal company - absolute cowboys
Total sympathy for anyone who has the misfortune of having any dealings with this company. Their operators issue fines despite parking permits and tickets being paid for and displayed in clear view. When proof of purchase is sent as part of a legitimate appeal, the company reject the appeal. They are a morally bankrupt and ethically unsound business, only interested in lining their own pockets - avoid at all costs!
128 calls and no answer
Was trying to give no stars, but one was the lowest I could give. We started to ring 30 mins before arrived to the airport as stated, 128 calls later, still no answer!! Even texted to explain we were near and no reply to that either!! Arrived at terminal 1 and waited 30 mins in the drop off zoned, no one in sight! Ended up having to pay an extra £90 to stay at the Manchester airport car park!!
Absolutely disgusting service..
Absolutely disgusting service..
First of all they late to come and pick up the car so we almost miss the flight..
The driver was asking for £4 to get put of airport car park. We had no small change so we gave him £20 and he supposed to leave the change in the car..
Any way on our return we had to wait 1.5 hours to get the car back. When I phone them after 30 min. they said they can not find the car. 30 minutes after they obviously found the car but couldt find the keys.
Finally after 1.5 hours we get the car in absolutely unacceptable DIRTY condition and there were only £13 change...
I wish I have seen the feedback before I book with them..
Will NEVER recommend this company...
Absolutely disgusting....
Terrible service! ‘Lost keys’
Terrible service! Arrived back and phoned them to let them know and they said someone would be there in 20minutes. Half an hour went by and no sign, phoned up again only for them to say that they had ‘lost’ our car keys!! Refused to take us to the car so we can have a look! Arranged for a spare key to be brought to us! (1.5 hour away) Finally got the car (not in a safe secure compound) and the spare key appeared 2 days later! Oh and you have to pay £3 to enter multi storey car park and £3 to exit!
waiting nearly 2 hours! DONT EVER USE
After getting into Manchester at 2am I called first choice as instructed. I was told where to wait and that they would be there in 20 minutes. It took them 1hr and 40 minutes to turn up. At this point I had called the police as I thought my car had been stolen as I had called them 23 times with no response. Might I add I am a single mother travelling with a toddler. This is the worst experience I have ever had travelling.
DO NOT use this 'Company".
Used this company in March and they were waiting to take my vehicle on arrival so everything appeared in order.
On return we followed instructions and within 10 mins our car was returned.
The driver pulled in at an angle in the car park and returned the keys and disappeared which I thought strange.
It was late at night, we were tired and wanted to get home so took the car which appeared in order.
Once we set off I realised that instruments had been tampered with, my dash cam had been removed from its position and unplugged.
The following morning I noticed a 6" long scratch along the rear bumper and realised that's why the driver had pulled in at an angle, to try and hide it.
I'd driven all the way home so knew what their defence would be and didn't bother contacting them or even trying.
I wish I'd seen this before we used…
I wish I'd seen this before we used First Choice. The comparison site we used have them 4.5 stars so thought I'd have more luck.
I guess I can justify giving them 1 star as they were better than our first option who just took our money and never contacted us and none of the contact details we had work.
But that's the only good thing I can say.
They were rude!
They mixed us up with another clients name supposedly that's why they were late picking our car up and from the wrong location. 3 parking charges later and we found them. This is all happened with me being sat in drop off departures on my own with all the luggage, no money, no phone and very high anxiety.
Was hoping it was just a mistake but on the way back we phoned them once we had collected our suitcases as we were told and they were running late and would be over 20 minutes. What's the point in booking meet and greet if they are not there as you walk out the airport.
Awful company. Complete waste of money.
I will be going to my credit card company to get this refunded if they do not respond to my contact.
Rather crap in my hands and clap
Rather crap in my hands and clap, 40 mins late collecting my car, lied to for over an hour, on return rang half hour before and was told 20 mins.. an hour and 29 mins later and a thousand calls to some rude scumbag that kept ignoring my calls and when he did answer just lied again, this sad excuse for a human arrived with my car and a huge attitude, then when I pointed out the damage to the front that wasn’t on it before he ran off, been contacting them for a month now and no reply, apparently they don’t have an office.. just some chancer company that’s run by morons that can’t run a bath let alone a parking firm.. never park with these people, still waiting for them to reply about my damages.. poor service all round.
Dont even want to give this place 1*
Dont even want to give this place 1 star stay well away, unaceptable service after trying to make the agreed 30 minute phone call prior to drop off it took 24 phone calls for them to eventually answer only to be met by a cocky arrogant peice of scum who had no manners what so ever, after getting to terminal 1 i was not sure on where exactly to meet the driver so after another 8 attempts of ringing the guy kept declining my call, by this point airport security Was on my back to move along out of the drop off zone, what the meet and greet service doesnt tell you is that where their driver meets you in in the multi story car park which costs you £4 which you have to give to the driver so he can get out and anothe £4 when you collect the car so in addition to what you have already paid add on another £8.. anyway after finally finding a place to park the bloke eventually decided to answer my call after explaining i had parked on level 3 he replied give the driver £4 so he can get out and then put the phone down i was shocked at this level of customer seevice the deiver didnt turn up for another 15 mins, on return i rang to explain that i had landed and told them i was at the arrivals gate and id be at the meeting location in 5 mins only to be questioned if i actually was and was told that if i wasnt there when the driver pulls up that they will just leave my car in some parking space (what they would do with the keys i dont know) i would never ever use this company again and i set off on my holiday in a foul mood with the way i had just been spoken to on drop off.
Terrible parking company..from start to…
Terrible parking company..from start to finish ridiculous customer service and like so many had the same experience so it's safe to say I will not be using them again..they don't respond to emails too...
Disappointing
Instructions for dropping the car off were very vague, we were told to park near a lift! What the company don’t tell you when you book is you have to pay £4 to get on and another £4 to get off the multi storey car park. This is ridiculous, surely it should be all in the original cost. Looking st some of the other reviews I think we got off quite lightly as we only waited 10 minutes for our car, probably as it’s not peak season. I wouldnt use this company again, I didn’t feel my car was in safe hands
Shocking experience!!!😡😡😡😡
Shocking experience! Did not know we were booked in whilst we were on our way to the airport! Finally found our booking! On our return, nearly an hours wait, no hand over and had to pay over £7 in car park entry costs to them! Rude and shoddy! Now cannot find a proper management name to complain to...had an email in poor English to complain to Manchester airport who are not affiliated with these people!
Shocking....do not use!
SHOCKING PLACE. This should be renamed LASTCHOICE…
This should be renamed LASTCHOICE Airport parking. I am still waiting to hear from the manager to explain the APPALLING customer service we received on our return to pick up our car yesterday. We were left to sit around waiting from 7.45am untill after 10am, as they could not find keys for 2 cars. There was only one person working during this time, and as he had to take a customer to the airport, left us waiting for someone to turn up that would know where the keys would be, but no manager, no office staff.... nobody turned up to sort out the issue. The keys were finally found misplaced in a drawer, shame it took OVER 2 hours to figure this out. Shout out to the manager for the follow up courtesy call to your very frustrated customers that lost 2 hours of a working day, sitting around in your waiting area not knowing what was going on. Not surprising that this place was still available when I went to book a couple of days before departure... and Andrews Parking was booked out, now I understand.
Had to wait 40 minutes for my car…
Had to wait 40 minutes for my car plus£8 parking charges my car was covered in mud and bird fecies the foot well was covered in mud wont use them again at Manchester airport
Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking. Left waiting for the car nearly 2 hours. Every time we rang they said they were 5 minutes away, stuck in traffic. Would not tell me where the car was being left so I could check traffic conditions.
Never use it his company. Absolute con artists.
Waited more than an hour to get out car …
Waited more than an hour to get out car back! Unacceptable!! Do not book with this company!!!
Had to wait for an hour
Had to wait for an hour before my car was brought back to the airport, although it wasn't scratched or anything. Sounds like I was lucky, unlike other reviewers who've had their cars damaged.
Bad service
