I have been working on Fiverr for over a year and built my profile with genuine effort, following all rules and guidelines. My account is fully verified with my national ID, and I have never created or used multiple accounts.
Despite this, my level system was flagged over a year ago and has never been restored. What is more disappointing is not just the issue itself, but the complete lack of proper response from Fiverr’s support team.
I contacted customer support multiple times, but instead of investigating the matter seriously, I received generic replies that did not address my concern. It feels like no one is actually reviewing the case properly.
As a freelancer, your level directly impacts your visibility and income. Keeping it flagged for such a long time without valid reason is not just unfair—it is damaging.
I am now considering escalating this matter to external consumer protection platforms because internal support has failed to resolve it.
I would strongly advise other freelancers to be cautious. Even if you follow all the rules, you may still face issues with no clear explanation or resolution.

In addition to boycotting the principle upon which Fiverr.com was built, Fiverr is an outfit that is extremely greedy. If a purchaser wants to tip a seller, Fiverr should reserve NO right to compensation. We had a good seller, so this review pertains to Fiverr alone.

I post my gig yesterday, after posting i got around 60 scam messages till today all of them mentioned a link i reported to fiverr support and i created a support ticket and they're did nothing.

A freelancer corrupted my business accounting records, leaving duplicate transactions that are blocking my tax submissions. The repair has been quoted at $900. The original order was a fraction of that.

Fiverr released payment and closed the order without my approval. Support escalated through five agents over multiple days. Their resolution: a 5% promo code.

The freelancer was flagged — but remains active on the platform.
If you are using Fiverr for anything that touches your finances or business systems, understand that their liability ends at the original order refund. What happens to your business beyond that is entirely your problem.

8 scams messages within an hour. Gone down hill and Fiverr clearly don't care anymore.

Fiverr scam and its fake developers are criminals. I ordered an AI website and tried out at least four developers and an advertiser team, but they are all scammers. After I let a software engineer check my website, he found out that they ruined it with some virus. They show errors so they can control everything. I reported this order to Fiverr, and guess what? 30 minutes later, someone was taking over my Fiverr account, sending a lot of spam messages, which Fiverr blocked my account with and said they couldn't refund anything. This cost me more than $12,000, and we are taking further legal action to get this back. Seriously, Fiverr just uses its own criminals; not a single developer is real on Fiverr. They are all dirty scammers, yet another rotten scam website from the USA. But I warn you, this is going to cost you dearly.

Please dont trust this platform. your account will be banned any time. not contact support properly. 90%bot only reply. my 1 years waste. My life impact because of fiverr. I got dissappoint because of fiverr. if buyer do any mistakes. fiverr will support only buyers. dont take risk in this platform.

a while ago i had some work done to my site-- well, i had to destroy all my work and start over because the idiots inserted their own backdoor and it was sending spam messages out left and right , aws was threating me and everything.. the idiots at fiverr wouldnt give me a refund-they would only give me partial fiverr credit that freakin expired- my problem was from a so-called developer on fiverr -- why the hell would they think i wanted their credit.. 100% will not use again and i suggest you stay away being as they apparently do not screen anyone on the site..

Fiverr has no solution for somebody who has been locked out of their account. All they say is reset the email and look into spam for the reset code and make sure noreplyate.supportfiver.com is in your contacts and try an another computer if after clearing the cache you have still not received the code. And when all this doesn't work every and all their technicians for more than a month keeps on repeating the same one solution. Am very disappointed with Fiver because I still have money from a refund in my account which I cannot access but I have lost all confidence in this company after writing several times every week for more than a month to try to access my account.

Fiverr is fine for simple, low-stakes tasks. Sharing this because I wish I'd known it before using them for a larger project. For anything multi-milestone: buyer protections are weak, milestone payments can release before work is actually delivered, and sellers will pressure you to tip and leave 5-star reviews before the project is complete. That means ratings on this platform aren't reliable. If the project is never finished, your dispute options are limited. Scope very small or consider other options.

DO NOT USE FIVERR! I Paid Hassan Akhtar for a website and he took my money and never delievered the website. he said he had Eid which he never told me before i paid then after almost 2months, he flagged my job as completed without even notifying me. i found out and immediately reported to fiverr. i still have no website, my £180 is gone and they fiverr has not responded. This is not the first bad episode i experienced on fiverr. the last web developer took my money, delievered no site and even took ownership of my bluehost account that i had to contact bluehost to get it back and also i had to cancel my cards on bluehost as my access was compromised. Be careful, there are no experts on fiverr just thieves and the company aids them

I was banned from the platform for no reason. After I was asked to verify my identity I uploaded my passport, everything went through smoothly and the identity confirmed, but after a few minutes I received an email saying that I was permanently banned and I will not be able to create accounts on the platform anymore.

They use unqualified freelancers who string out the service past the refund window. The freelancer dissappeared leaving you to fight for refund. Then CS with a vague refund policy will not refund you.

Upon sign up as a service seller, I received a scam message requesting my credit card details almost immediately. Considering Fiverr's verification process, I expected better security features.

Fiverr has extremely poor customer support.

My account was suspended, and after the 90-day waiting period, I still have not received any information about my funds. I contacted support multiple times (Ticket #14423034), but they keep sending the same automated responses without answering my question.

This lack of transparency and accountability is very frustrating. I just want a clear answer about my balance and withdrawal.

tried a 3rd time using this app, but it is an absolute rubbish piece of site, cant verify, long sign up process, I've done home application with a easier process than this site

Too many spam messages. After uploading a couple of Giggs, I started to get spam messages with suspicious links. I don't know what type of checks they perform but it was not just one, but a few spam messages that I received for my Giggs, I blocked each one of them but still received more spam. I decided to deactivate my account due to this poor experience.

I had an account with fiverr and could not find any business with the guaranteed services I offered on this site. It was quite a surprise given my educational background and experience and expertise so that is why I’m giving this low rating. Granted, I only offered simple services on just this site, my other consulting services are available on Linkedin.

I guess it works for some freelancers, but feels like a complete con to me. I spent time setting up my profile and 'gigs', then realised there was effectively no way of my services being seen by potential clients.

After some days, I foolishly paid for a KickStart plan, which promises the moon and gives no real benefits as far as I can see: two or three sentences of AI-generated feedback hardly justify the £11.90 fee! Even after paying for KickStart you cannot advertise your services, because you need to reach 'Level 1' for that, which it seems you can only do after completing jobs; yet my gig 'impression' count actually dropped (to zero or one on most days) after paying, which tells me all I really need to know.

I asked for my money back from Fiverr within 48 hours of signing up for KickStart: I received no response, and obviously no refund. Fiverr just pushed more paid-for services. I did not expect much from Fiverr, though nor was I expecting all the spam messages and complete lack of customer service. Very disappointing.
