The hotel stole our money

Avoid this hotel as much as you can. We had a lot of trouble trying to get our deposit back.

I paid $100 USD in cash as a deposit during check-in. I was assured that this deposit I will get back upon departure. But it is impossible to get money back when leaving because they do not have cash. They should keep the cash in the safe and give it back because it is not their money, they are spending the customer's money on their own needs. My family and I waited for more than an hour until we demanded part of our money. They managed to return us only 1690 Mexican pesos. According to the official exchange rate, this would be less than 90 USD, according to the real exchange rate on the street, 70-80 USD. But since we left in the morning, we didn't have a chance to exchange Mexican pesos.

But here you need to understand that the hotel takes the deposit in USD and returns it in Mexican pesos, and this is a crime because the hotel does not provide currency exchange services and does not have such a license!

Of course, it's not a lot of money. But it is not legal for a hotel to act like that.

There were more minor problems that could be written and written about. Not a single bar or restaurant opens on time. Sampun is not replenished. Our family of four received only 2 towels. At breakfast, you had to stand in line for about 35 minutes. And so on.
