DONT USE FLEETWAY RIP OFF MERCHANTS
I've had to give 1 star which i really did not want to. I am absolutely furious with Fleetway. Booked a 4 night break to Gibraltar on 15th Jan. They were very quick to take the full amount. On 16th March received a very non personalised email stating THEY had cancelled the holiday. I contacted them via email as was sick of waiting on the phone. They responded on 21st March to say had to go through insurance. Again non personalised email back. Managed to finally get through on 25th March to a very unhelpful person. I mentioned other travel operators were providing full refunds to which he said Fleetway arent other travel operators!! Also told they are waiting for government to change rules on Package Travel Regs. When i pointed out government hadnt approved this so should be sticking to current regs he just said have to go through travel insurance. I am still waiting to be contacted as per their email considering i was meant to be flying 24th March!!! I'm in process of putting complaint through ABTA who originally backed Fleetway until pointed out Package Travel Regs. I've also requested a Section 75 on my credit card. I refuse to be a penny out of pocket
Dreadful company
Dreadful company. Cancelled my city break to Budapest (corona). Emailed to say claim on my travel insurance. Wrong! Their terms and conditions say they will refund if they cancel. They can't now be contacted; phone cuts off, and website useless. It's a lesson learned. I'll never use them again - assuming they're still trading!
YOU DESERVE TO BE SHUT DOWN MONEY ROBBING SCAMMERS
I wish I could give zero stars - scamming, money stealing company! Cancelled our holiday and won't give us a refund or even offer a reschedule. Disgusting service and by looking at the reviews I am not the only one affected by this. When things are back to normal I hope they lose all of their customers and realise in the in the long run is more of a detriment to their company than robbing money now! YOU DESERVE TO BE SHUT DOWN
Crooks refuse to refund our holiday…
Crooks refuse to refund our holiday even though regulations state they have to. Keep advising is to go through insurance and they tell us it’s Fleetway’s responsibility. Would never use them again
FLEETWAY TRAVEL ARE THIEVES AND LIARS DO NOT BOOK HOLIDAYS WITH THEM
I was due to fly to Jersey on 10th April 2020. This was cancelled by Fleetway due to Coronavirus and I was told to claim from my insurance despite even on the day my holiday was cancelled their cancellation policy on their website states they are liable to offer a full refund. I conracted them on the phone to be told to claim on my insurance when I said that Fleetway are duty bound to offer a full refund my call was cut off. Fleetway were quick enoigh to take full payment on 14th January 2020 when I booked. I also cintacted Travelzoo who advertised the holiday and was told to contact Fleetway. What happens now???? I think it is disgusting how Fleetway have behaved and Travelzoo for not forcing a company they are selling for to issue a full refund. They are breaking the law. Very angry let down customer. Fleetway should be made to refund customers - what is the point of having all these governing bodies if the customer is always left out of pocket.
Another very unhappy Fleetway Travel customer
Another very unhappy customer. Understandably Fleetway have contacted me to cancel my holiday, due to be taken at the end of April.
What I cannot understand how they can take your money, then cancel your holiday and offer no refund of any kind. Their recommendation was to claim against our travel insurance. I can find nothing in the insurance that covers Fleetway cancelling our holiday, leaving me £1000 out of pocket.
Keep calm and claim against your bank
I booked last September to go to Sicily for a week commencing 31 March which obviously isn’t going ahead. I think Fleetway were a decent outfit who have been ravaged and swamped by this Virus just as the travel insurers, the airlines and , for that matters credit card issuers are.
For Fleetway there is not much they can do for the moment as they try and get EasyJet to settle with them for the flights, claim on ATOL (as an aside I think ABTA means very little), keep on fighting fires. So I paid by credit card and have asked my bank to refund me under the Regulations of Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. We will see.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Cannot describe the stress this company as caused. Our experience is similar to others. We had a holiday booked to Jordan on 14th March for 1 week. Flew out on 14th and fleetway knew whilst we were in flight that all the sights were being closed. We were not informed. 15th March informed by your guide that all sites were closed (petra etc) Jordan was closing its borders and that all foreigners were to leave, fleetway would be unable to get flights for us all and to arrange our own flights home. This was an impossible task as flight prices were escalating at an alarming rate and were not direct flights with no guarantee that countries you were passing through had not closed their borders. Due to the persistence of other passengers. Flights, were sent by easyjet to repatriate us. However the company has flatly refused to issue a refund and referred us to our travel insurance who will not refund as fleetway is abta and atol protected. It is an absolute disgrace.
Fleetway have refused to refund me…
Fleetway have refused to refund me money on a holiday they cancelled due to coronavirus. Like others they told us to claim on our travel insurance (who co-incidentally are not answering their phone) I will not be booking with them again. They wouldn't even issue travel vouchers or give dates for the same time next year. Dreadful company. Don't trust this provider they've taken all our money and given us nothing.
I can only echo most recent comments
I can only echo most recent comments. The company is a joke. I had several holidays booked between March and May (to celebrate a special birthday) and every other company has refunded me without question - ferry, airline, hotels, car hire.
Fleetway have taken well over £3000 to provide nothing, and will also get refunds from airline, hotels etc. I will be contacting ATOL and hope they do something, otherwise they would become redundant and pointless.
There must be hundreds of people being cheated by this company.
Disgusted!
Have had two good holidays with Fleetway in the last couple of months.
However I feel they have stolen £171.00 of my money that was sent to them by Easy Jet in relation to a cancelled flight prior to COVID-19.
Can only assume they will soon be in liquidation.
Feel sorry for the friendly staff.
Disgusting management!

Reply from Fleetway Travel
sad And bad and getting worse
We had previously had 2 lovely holidays with Fleetway and rated them highly. However the way they have cancelled our next holiday and are blankly refusing refunds means that even when this situation returns to ‘normal’ we could never book with them again. I feel sad for everyone including the staff - I am sure behaving like this was not their idea. We are not alone in being unable to lose so much money and it has considerably added to our stress. All the other arrangements we have had to cancel we have had helpful responses. This means we will return to these places as soon as we can. Fleetway seem to rank retaining our money over everything else.
Now receiving the letters like everyone else - their behaviour has been so unacceptable we would in no circumstances travel with them again. I have also reported them to CMA and am considering which legal route to use to get my money back.
The latest letter from Fleetway has really made me angry. Has anyone else had it? The one that says if you are so unreasonable as to not take a credit note you may get a refund when/if they are refunded by suppliers? That’s your ‘refund’ letter and it is beyond ridiculous.
I have now received my money back through chargeback. Fleetway responded to my last email with an automatic acknowledgement and then silence. I hope everyone else can get their money back too. And that we all remember who behaved well in these unique circumstances.
Excellent !!
Excellent service and good communication would book with Fleetway again .
I wrote a good review for Fleetway as I…
I wrote a good review for Fleetway as I have used them twice and they were great. I think I was lucky the second time because in the current climate my Jordan trip went ahead. It seems that the bulk of the complaints now are that Fleetway are not giving refunds. Very poor esp when they go to the trouble of giving you an ABTA certificate. Come on Fleetway you are wrecking your reputation all by yourself.
Coronavirus cancellation by Fleetway - no refund!
Similar to others on here - holiday cancelled by Fleetway (not us) and no refund offered. Which is in direct contradiction of their own terms and conditions. I suggest you raise a complaint using Martin Lewis' resolver and escalate to ABTA as soon as possible. However ABTA are now suggesting they not in a position to provide the protection we are charged for (according to an update on their website) so I think I'll be asking my credit card company for a refund under section 75 when I've exhausted all other options.
As per other people I will not be booking with this company ever again and I would suggest non-one else does either. What's the point of booking a package through an agent if the alleged protections don't exist?
YOU SHOULD BE NAMED AND SHAMED!!!!!!!!
I do not even want to give this company 1 star.DREADFUl!! I was due to travel 17th March 2020 to Jordan.FCO announcement 16th March 2020 unable to travel.I contacted Fleetway 12 minutes after the announcement.Miserable customer service monotone response will get email with cancellation notice to claim of insurance. No email recieved till today 5 days later. No comment on providing a refund.I am a frontline NHS worker so totally sympathetic to issue of Covid19 and need to repatriate travellers but I do feel so sorry for any of these travelllers in light of the service I have recieved.I have already recieved emails regarding other activities cancelled and refunds on the way .This is how I consider Fleetway should be managing this.I have contacted travel experts and solicitor who has advised I am entitled to a refund by law within two weeks.I do not anticipate this will be progressed by Fleetway and likely to be progressed in the courts.I feel I have little time at present to progress this but will fight to get my hard earned money back. They were quick to take this fromme. I will never book with this company again or accept a credit note.just see you in court!
If you are considering booking anything…
If you are considering booking anything or have anything booked from May onwards cancel your holiday ASAP before they cancel your holiday and expect you to get in touch with some insurer to claim your money back, My holiday was booked for 21st April, the travel travel restriction set by the FCO is up to the 16th of April and I’ve received an email about my holiday being cancelled and I should try to seek help from my travel insurance? What kind of a joke is this?
0 rating for Fleetway Travel
Would give 0 rating of that was possible. Fleetway cancelled our holiday and advised us to claim in our travel insurance, despite their own cancellation policy staring they will offer a refund if they cancel. Not only did they abdicate their responsibility, but also told us in their email to "please refrain from contacting us directly". What a nerve, such crap customer service. I will be refraining from ever booking with them again.
I work in the NHS
I have spent my one day off work trying to get my money back from this company.
I booked this holiday for partners 50th birthday, our family gave us both money so we could have a break! ... anyway,
I spoke to Kim and was told point blank "you are not having your money back" Thankyou for your honesty Kim
I have spent the rest of the day trying to retrieve my money through the credit card payment I paid back in December, apparently they can wriggle out of it if no one complains, you need to insist on a section 75 ….. and complain to ATOL.(please do this don't let them off!) They are probably sat on our beach with our cocktail in there hand laughing at us right now.
Thankyou The Directors Of "Fleetway Travel" Soon to change their name! Discover the world.. I just wanted a break!
Our Holiday to Spain and Morocco
Our holiday to Spain and Morocco was booked back in Dec 2019, and was scheduled to begin on 12 March. As the coronavirus situation played out, we notified Fleetway of our intent to cancel our booking on 26 Feb. After much back and forth emailing, Fleetway agreed on 16 March to issue a credit note in the full amount of our payment, to be used for travel some time over the next two years. While I did not appreciate all the email conversations required to arrive at this resolution, I did find the company largely communicative over this period of time. It's an extremely difficult time for all of us, and especially those serving the travel industry. My advice? - be patient, and hopefully you will eventually have a resolution to your own particular situation with this company. And I very much hope that Fleetway will be around after this mess has passed, so we may enjoy our "prepaid" holiday.
