Excellent service

Easy to book. Cody telephoned on the morning to confirm he would arrive within the hour. Quickly diagnosed the problem and resolved it. He also noticed the tap was dripping slightly and replaced a part to stop this.

I bought a Franke Minerva 3to1 tap

I bought a Franke Minerva 3to1 tap about 12 years ago. The hot and cold water leaver has been excellent, the instant boiling water facility less so. The instant boiling water boiler failed within 13 months and was replaced under guarantee. We found the filter laster about 6 months before the flow of water reduced so much that this facility was no longer useful. This was a great surprise as we live in an area of very soft and clean water. Finally after 12 years the seals have failed resulting in a significant water leak and potential repair bill. We decided to revert to a standard hot and cold water tap.

We’re pleased to know the standard hot and cold mixer performed well for you, but we appreciate how frustrating it must have been to encounter issues with the boiling water system.

While it’s reassuring that the original boiler was replaced under guarantee, we’re sorry that the lifespan of the filters and, later, the seal failure have led to disappointment. This isn’t the experience we want for our customers, especially after such long-term use.

unable to remove the lever

I was unable to remove the lever when I needed to replace the cartridges. The 2.5 mm Allen key (SP3311, as specified in the handbook) could not loosen the screw at the bottom of the lever, and the edges of the screw appeared to wear down quickly, suggesting the metal may be too soft. I purchased a new 2.5 mm Allen key but experienced the same issue. The key did not seem to grip the screw properly, as it felt slightly loose.
Franke later recommended trying a 3 mm or 3.5 mm Allen key, explaining that these might help remove a rounded grub screw if the original size had worn it down after multiple attempts. I tried a 3 mm key, but it appears to be too large and cannot fit in to remove the screw.
Franke ultimately advised that the only remaining option might be to remove the tap and drill the part out, which turns a simple cartridge replacement into a costly operation.
In general, I have purchased three Franke taps (as well as a sink) over the past 10 years, and this is now the third time I have replaced the cartridges. On each occasion, I have encountered the same difficulty when trying to remove the levers, which makes routine maintenance unnecessarily challenging.
Despite the otherwise expensive but excellent quality of Franke products, this recurring issue may be something worth bringing to the attention of the production team.

Excellent service.

After a fault with our tap the company, having diagnosed the problem, arranged an engineer to visit (Martin) The engineer called on the morning of the visit to confirm his arrival time and completed the work. He gave lots of information on what was being undertaken and why and also gave further advice.

On looking for a replacement plug for a…Carron Phoenix sink

On looking for a replacement plug for a 20 year old sink I can't praise highly enough the customer service from Natalie. On sending a photo of my sink there were two possible plugs and on ordering the first one which didn't quite fit, I was immediately sent the second one which fits and works perfectly. I'm very impressed with the friendliness, speed and efficiency of service. Thanks Natalie

Had my annual service for my boiling…

Had my annual service for my boiling tap today. Cody carried the out the service and he was efficient, polite and certainly knew what he was doing. I’ve also had a Franke sink installed since my last service and I was checking with him I was using the right cleaning product to keep my sink in a good condition and he told me about the cleaning product you do for coloured sinks, which I have purchased. I love my boiling tap and sink and want to keep them looking good. Today’s service call was excellent.

Maris boiling hot water system

A joined up approach between company and engineer. Dan was outstanding, he phoned in on his way and when he arrived his friendly manner and professional demeanour put my mind at rest. He completed the job by giving me a full demonstration. Excellent!

Prompt and excellent advice

When I had a problem with my 2 year old Franke combination tap, my usual sources (Google, YouTube) came up with nothing. I used the Franke website to ask for advice, with very low expectations of any response at all. Within three days, I received an email, including an explanation of what had probably happened, clear instructions on solving it and a link in case I needed any materials. Ten minutes later, the tap was working. Thank you.
