I don’t take leaving negative reviews lightly, but after repeated issues with French Click, I feel compelled to speak out, especially for the sake of others who might unknowingly put their health at risk.

I’ve ordered from French Click in the past but stopped due to ongoing problems. Recently, I decided to give them another chance as my son requested French food for his birthday. Unfortunately, nothing has improved.

I placed a large order including some perishable items including : garlic sausage, merguez sausages, and pork rillettes. The delivery was scheduled for Tuesday, 5th August before noon. It didn’t arrive. Tracking showed a delay, and the parcel was finally delivered the next morning, Wednesday 6th August.

One of the boxes containing perishable goods was severely damaged—ripped open and leaking. The items were packed with a single small foil ice pack and wrapped in I layer of basic bubble wrap, with no insulation whatsoever. When I checked the temperature using two infrared thermometers, the readings ranged from 18.5°C to 20°C, far above the safe storage temperature of 4°C stated on the packaging of each food.

To make matters worse, the melted ice pack had soaked alot of the box, ruining other items including a 10kg bag of T55 flour.

When I contacted French Click, they insisted the food was still safe to eat, even after I sent clear photographic and video evidence of the damage and temperature readings. This advice is not only irresponsible, it directly contradicts manufacturer guidelines and basic food safety standards.

After some back and forth, they agreed to send areplacements. It arrived yesterday, on time, but again, the box was damaged, some items were incorrect, and the perishable goods were packed in the same inadequate way. The ice pack was fully melted and warm, and the food registered temperatures between 20°C and 23.5°C—even worse than before.

French Click claims their ice packs keep food safe for 48 hours, but they are clearly ignoring the ice pack manufacturer’s instructions, which specify that this only applies when used with there insulated boxes and bags. French Click uses no insulation.

I contacted them again this morning with fresh evidence, but have yet to receive a response. Based on past experience, I expect they’ll once again claim the food is safe to eat.

Please do not order perishable items from this company. If you do, inspect them thoroughly. If the ice pack is melted and the food is warm, check the temperature and do not consume it. Do not rely on their advice—it is dangerous and could lead to serious illness.

I’ve now reported French Click to the Food Standards Agency, as I’m genuinely concerned that someone could get seriously ill due to their poor packaging and reckless guidance.

I would highly recommend avoiding this company.

Magnificent Merguez. Wasn't so sure because the mobile version of the website looks dated and unprofessional. Took the risk and ordered 7 packets of merguez which arrived promptly and efficiently. I'd 100% recommend, 4 stars because the website looks untrustworthy.

Just Love the products. I ordered the le petit marseillais framboise and pivoine deod and shower gel. Excellent product and excellent customer service. I will be back for more.

I have used French Click quite a few times. This time, however, their service is comparatively poor. They put an incorrect large jar of mustard in the box and are not replying to my messages, emails or picking up the phone at all. [They have now sent a replacement. Thank you.]

First class service and very pleased with what I ordered. The website is well set out and user friendly.

I was thrilled to find a source of merguez sausages. My kids holiday favourite! I was very happy with the range of products available, ordering process and delivery time!

I am over the moon to find at last a French website where I can buy some great produce. Hard to find some over here and save me go to France. So thank you and merci encore

As a first time customer, I was excited that I could get all my French goodies in one place. First of all they have poor communication, they never pick up the phone and no answer machine.
When the goods arrived, there was a six pack of Contrex missing, so I dropped them an email. In response the answer was the order exceeded the parcel weight limit. None of this was mentioned on ordering and they still took the full amount of my money. A portion which they said would be refunded hasn’t been.
I also told them to remove all my details as I’d never use them again, which I won’t, there’s too many rip off artists on the net. We don’t need another one.

Never got a problem with them but when there is one! Don’t count on them to answer the phone or email!!very poor customer service and will definitely go somewhere else!

Super Service. Super Ingredients.

Placing the order was easy and the delivery date was adhered to. I was very disappointed on opening the box that only two items I ordered were actually in the box. I was missing 5 items and instead had been given a load of snacks I didn’t order.
I tried phoning but it was after 5.30 so I was asked to ring back.
I went on line soon after to raise the problem leaving my email address and phone number. By 12pm the next day no email or call.
I have tried ringing twice and have sat waiting for someone to answer for half an hour.
Edit: I have now been promised a further delivery and apparently 3 members of staff were not in which is why no one answered the phone.Further edit: Items have now all arrived safely. Thank you for sorting it out.

Very pleased with the whole thing. Website clear, invoice clear, delivery on time, very well packed, order complete. Will definitely use again and recommend to French friends and others.

Lovely to get some french goodies as we should have been in France this month.

I advise all to be extremely careful when ordering from this company. I was excited to find a store that sold a favourite French dessert of mine that is no longer sold or distributed in the UK. Upon arrival (10/6/25) all items had a best before date of 11/6/25 and two items were covered in mould. Needless to say my joy was short lived. I have requested a full refund and will shop elsewhere.

So happy to have found you guys. Will be a very regular customer! Easy to order, fast and efficient service. Very good value.

Knorr Pepper sauce was available from French Click which was wonderful to see as we really enjoy this Sauce. Sadly visits to France aren't possible for us now. Website was easy to use, price was reasonable, delivery date specified. Arrived safely on time.

Been using this company for a while now and mostly been satisfied.

This allows me to get some good French products I cannot find anywhere else.

The only small thing to notice is their delivery, they do not deliver on Wednesday and on one occasion, they delivered my product to the wrong person in my building.

But apart from that, great service.
