I am updating my previous review below

I am updating my previous review below. It is now 6 February and many more emails, texts, calls later the company is just ignoring any communication. I am so disappointed as I like the concept of the company and absolutely understand the pressures on small businesses but you cannot ignore your customers.....

After working with Fran to rectify the issue of the very badly damaged hamper with a replacement of the items which were originally damaged, it seemed no matter what we did we couldn’t satisfy this customer. We then after sending additional items to the recipient decided to give a FULL refund. So all in all the customer had received two hampers and a full refund.

Excellent

I received this most luxurious basket of fruit yesterday . The fruit itself is amazing streets ahead of Marks and Spencer's . The lady I spoke with was extremely helpful and nothing to much trouble for her as we had to readdress the order due to my hospital discharge ! I found Sophia to be very kind and helpful , My fruit arrived lovely and fresh to much in basket to mention it all but there was even a box of chocolate truffles a very nice touch also
I highly recommend this company

Get Well Gift for My Sister

Ordered a Fruit Basket for my Sister last week to be delivered to her in hospital. She loved it. The fruit was delicious - I obviously had to sample it on my visit to her! Great delivery service and quality fruit.
Thank you

This Company's Products and Customer Service are Disgraceful.

I ordered a fruit basket which cost north of £45.00 for a relative who had been ill.
The fruit arrived and on first examination some of it appeared to be over ripe. When the basket was opened, we found that over half of the fruit was inedible and had to be thrown out. The remainder was mediocre.
When I complained the only offer of recompense was adding 50% more to my next order. I replied this was not acceptable and the response from fruit galore was that was all they were prepared to offer.
This company is expensive, delivers a poor quality product and has no idea of what customer service is all about.
Avoid this company at all costs.

Poor customer service after poor quality product delivered

I ordered a mixed fruit and product basket as a gift from company directors to a member of staff.
The fruit delivered was poor quality, on the turn and fit only for the bin. I contacted Fruit Galore who offered extra fruit on my next order! Why would I order again when the product was low quality?

I responded that this offer failed to acknowledge or address the disappointment to the recipient and our company directors who wanted to send a lovely gift to a long standing employee who has just had her first child.

I would never order from this company again based on their response to a problem.

FRUIT GALORE IS A BAD COMPANY ALL AROUND!

RANT TIME!! DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM FRUIT GALORE!!
FRUIT GALORE IS A BIG CON AND BAD FIRM/COMPANY TO
ORDER FROM!!
My daughter wanted to surprise me for Mother's Day by sending me a fruit basket. Well the company/firm FRUIT GALORE caulked up big time. We, my daughter and I, sent email through their site. Got reply stating that she sent the order to late for Fridays delivery and their computer system is down. I should get the BASKET/GIFT Tuesday. My daughter had paid extra for shipping so I would get it right away. NO I DIDN'T GET IT. I email them telling them to refund my daughter and cancel the order, Well they said I would get it Wednesday my reply is to send and refund my daughter that including the extra shipping.
Got a call this morning and was asked to confirm my address told them NO REFUND MY DAUGHTER AND I HAD TOLD YOU TO REFUND THE MONEY.
Not long after I hung up, new email saying they delivered the gift and it was NO WHERE NEAR ME, TRY OVER 200 MILES FROM ME!
FRUIT GALORE IS A BIG CON SAYING THAT THEY DID THEIR JOB AND THAT IS IT!!

Dear Angel,

Apologies,
Our internet has been down since Friday but should be back on tomorrow. Your daughter placed the order too late for Friday's delivery so it has left us today and will have it tomorrow. There are no deliveries on a Sunday as the couriers don't deliver.
I'm sure you will be very happy with her lovely gift to you.

This order was for delivery on a Sunday which we cannot do. This is clear on our website

We wrote to explain that and say it would be made up on Monday and delivered on Tuesday.

On Monday after we had processed a lovely basket with a larger than quoted box of chocolates we got an email saying it was no longer wanted

Too late as the basket was already on route

On delivery to the correct address there was no one in. The carrier then left it with a neighbour as is policy

When the neighbour tried to deliver Angel refused to accept saying she did not live at the address given

Today this same Angel has written saying she has now received the basket

Believe this angel if you wish but there is no more our company could have done to get this order to her

It seems you cannot please some though

Anyone ordering from us despite reading this libellous report will receive 100% extra fruit free so they can report to trust pilot what a fantastic service we provide as all the testimonials on our website clearly show. Just quote Angel in the comments box whilst ordering to qualify and thank you for reading the truth

DO NOT USE!! BAD GIFT & AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Do not use this company. *UPDATE* Reply from company on this site is totally inaccurate and extremely vexing. Imagine how you would feel if you got a reply like this from a company. How can any company claim to be good if they treat customers this way? I dont usually post reviews but the lies and horrendous service I received needs to be shared before people spend their hard earned money on ROTTEN FRUIT and DESPICABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! If only I took more pictures and reported this company to food standard agency immediately...Don't believe this company's slander. No apologies received just bad attitude and an attempt at ruining my credibility. They shouldn't be allowed to operate! I hope that you will not be deceived.

Original Post:

Received a fruit basket for my birthday and saw that there were several fruits that were rotten. Called immediately to notify company. They asked for pic which I sent then offered a pitiful £10 refund after having charged the poor sender approx £50! They said the cheese and wine were fine so this was justified. The cheese and wine they sent were £2 each at retail value! The overall basket clearly was not up to scratch and I told them that it wasn't acceptable for sender to have paid for such a bad gift when clearly they trusted this company to deliver a premium product. NO REPLY FROM COMPANY. Called to follow up on behalf of sender and spoke to the most awful man who insisted that I was wrong and spoke over me repeatedly saying he can't be bothered about the 1 complaint from me when he is running his business. Yeah right! With his attitude and products I'd be really surprised if most people were happy with this company! He finally said I could have a full replacement basket or nothing so I needed to decide. Obviously accepted this as he wasn't prepared to refund the sender as he should have done. Got replacement basket today with half the portion of fruit in it even though he offered to replace full basket. Called him to tell him this and he unceremoniously told me that he can't be bothered dealing with me anymore (with what sounded like his wife in the background telling him what to say) and hung up!! How can companies like this get away with being so disrespectful to customers when they have been sent an inferior product!! Do not use this company if you want to send anyone a gift. The person receiving it will not be thankful when they receive rotten fruit and have to deal with the most unpleasant man in the fruit business!!!

We sent a lovely basket to Keisha who complained from the outset demanding a total replacement or a full refund. She could not make up her mind whether she was complaining of unripe fruit or bad fruit that she had already eaten. Surely no one eats rotten fruit & can recognise it in advance.

Keisha rang twice out of hours & miscalled a young female house guest who answered the phone with some vile language. Not being impressed with this we replied the next day in working hours..

When we did the following day we pointed out that there was no way the wine & cheese etc could be rotten but that although no one else complained that day about the quality of the fruit we would offer to replace the fruit or refund £10. Keisha took a wobble again using a vile rant & then accepted the position & agreed to accept the replacement fruit by way of compensation. This was filled with extra fruit & looking fabulous was sent to her with complete confidence. It arrived the next day & Keisha then rang out of hours to complain there was not enough fruit in it despite the fact it had more fruit than the original order required. Obviously no pleasing this customer

As stated this was out of hours & into a weekend & I told her to ring back in working hours but told her that I found the lack of appreciation for our efforts to sort this dispute out in an amicable & business like fashion incomprehensible. Her sheer greed is totally uncalled for & it was obvious to anyone there was no way this woman was ever going to be satisfied. Again her language was despicable & her attitude confrontational.

Keisha is apparently an expert on pricing as we can see from the complaint. I wish I had her expertise in sourcing wine she received at £2 !!!!!!!!!! whilst also forgetting about the cost of packaging & delivery twice.

As a gentleman of senior years I can also assure Keisha I do not need anyone to tell me what to say. This job is a wonderful job & the business gives me enormous satisfaction but receiving complaints like this are very upsetting as the facts as described by Keisha are not true, fair or in fact believable. Thank goodness for the huge number of fantastic testimonials we get every week. Every basket is sent out with care & dedication by our team to our loyal customer base.

If you want a rotten experience choose this company

I'm really not in the habit of speaking out or complaining but feel this needs to be said.
Fruitgalore UK has got to be the worst company for customer service, that I have ever come across. I received a basket of fruit as a gift which unfortunately had some rotten fruit included in the basket. I telephoned fruitgalore uk immediately to notify them of the issue I had. I thought they would at least be apologetic for the sub standard quality I had received How wrong can u be!!!!!! The person who answered the phone was very dismissive, and quite frankly not very pleasant to deal with. I sent pictures of the fruit as requested and instead recognising my complaint with an apology I was made to feel that I lying as I was told there was nothing wrong with the fruit. Well I can categorically say that there was most definetly something wrong with the quality of some the fruit presented in my gift basket. This really is not about me, yes I'm disappointed, but really I feel for the person who purchased this gift for me, with their hard earned cash. I have asked fruitgalore UK to reimburse the purchaser of this basket and told them they are more than welcome to have the goods collected in its entirety as I would not be eating any of the fruit. I have received no further correspondence from them about either a collection or a reimbursement of the purchase. So with all that said I can only advice anyone reading this review to think very carefully before considering a purchase from this company.

Annette Ryland complained about the quality of fruit in a basket she had received

I asked her to send a picture of the offending fruit & the pictures she sent showed no damaged fruit at all. We had various fruit experts outwith the company look at the pictures & everyone agreed the pictures showed no rotten or bruised fruit.

We can only replace damaged fruit & readily do so if the situation occurs & is proven.

In this case Annette did not & could not prove there was anything wrong with her fruit. All fruit is bought on the day of processing orders & packaged and sent within 8 hours with delivery the next day. If the fruit was bad for one it will be bad for all. We therefore guarantee quality for 24 hours & if there is a complaint ask for photographic proof.

Customer satisfaction is vital to us & we are always sad to receive negative reports but considering we send out many many baskets each week I can thankfully say we receive very few complaints - 3 in the last 18 months since we took over in Jan 2014 - but have a fantastic number of glowing testimonials on our website

We are sorry Annette feels aggrieved & would readily have provided alternatives for her if she had proved she had a valid complaint

Mush. Defensive customer service crappy fruit

Ordered for a friend as a Christmas present, fruit arrived in a terrible state. After complaining my friend was offered more bananas.
I sent fruit galore a photo of what was delivered and they suggested that we took a photo of the wrong gift as the basket had left in perfect condition.

Stay clear of these guys their service, attitude and products are literarily rotten!

Fruitgalore was asked by Ian Cowan to send an order to a friend of his. This we did & it left here in pristine condition.

The photo was not of any order we have sent out as it was missing all the big fruits like melon & pineapple and the bananas were bruised & black looking when they had been green the day before on leaving us

Despite this we offered to send a replacement basket FOC to the recipient which was refused. We offered to send Ian Cowan a complimentary basket so he could see the quality we send out.

We have also asked our courier to report if the box was damaged in transit.

The result was his posting on this site which we are very upset about.

We are very happy to accept responsibility for anything we do wrong but can guarantee this order like all our orders left in very good condition.

We sent out several hundred baskets over Christmas & New Year.

By the way our offer to both Ian Cowan & Raj stands

Disappointing

The only review I could find was the previous one here. Delivery was fine, but what was supposed to be a Morning Zest Fruit Basket, pictured with Kiwis, Strawberries and Grapes; arrived with a pineapple, loads of apples, a pear and a grapefruit. Ordered for my wife for her Birthday, now considering just chucking it out before she gets home as it's really quite pathetic. Nowhere near as full as the picture suggests.

Possibly just a slip up

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paid for item and next day delivery.
Delivery was left "At wrong depot" even though website said it had been completed.
Submitted webform. No response.
Emailed, got a reply next morning "Blah blah apologies will send out today or tommorow maybe" (?!!)
Emailed back to confirm date and not for it to be friday morning.
Got no repsonse. Low and behold friday morning it arrives.
Fruit is fresh but the customer service stinks!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seemingly my case was a one off and hopefully the holes in there customer service are being addressed.
I can't fault a business that is prepared to offer a full refund when it feels it has not measured up to it's own standards.
A decent basket for the price.
