Have booked an event with them before and was happy enough to book the same experience again expecting the same.
Wrong!
The life drawing class was in a dirty dingy room and the toilets were disgusting.
Also the venue’s bar was closed for refurbishment and we weren’t advised of this. To be charged almost £40 per head for this is shocking.
To top it off their response to my complaint was to argue with me and offer flowers as a gesture of goodwill.
When the flowers arrived they were terrible - I’ve seen better bouquets in Aldi or a garage forecourt!
I will not be booking with them again and would give zero stars if I could.

Great experience using Funktion! From the outset, the customer service was brilliant with the team calling immediately to get details for our potential events and quickly being able to provide details on availability, pricing and the event. I spoke with Izzie who was very accommodating as I initially flexed the dates around and even helped us find discounts through the venue partner which as incredibly helpful. Izzie was constantly checking in on the run up and super helpful with any questions we had in the booking process both over the phone and over email. We also spoke to Emily from Funktion in the booking process who was also incredibly helpful making the process go smooth. On the day itself, we had an event coordinator, Nick, who was really friendly and kept spirits high during the event. The Sports Day event selection was great with all the equipment being provided which was incredibly helpful. Overall great day and easy process - would definitely recommend Funktion Events and will use them again in future

We had a great Wicked themed dance class for my friends hen do. The instruction was friendly and knowledgable and adapted to the group. The venue was easy to access and a good space.

Booking was seamless and there was flexibility should we have needed it! The class itself was super fun and exactly what we expected - our bride loved it :)

We loved the venue the dance class was at, a cool dance studio in Leeds, and the instructor was so lovely. Everyone had a laugh, it wasn’t too serious, and it was a fab fun event for our musical loving bride to be!

We had such a lovely dance teacher for our Wicked Dance Workshop and the bride absolutely loved it! Thanks so much team for being so clear & organised aswell!

Booked life drawing for a hen do - The pub confirmed that no one had arrived to run the session, after much chasing, 30 mins later we were informed that no one was coming.. no reason, no solution!
So disappointed, having organised for a group of 10 hens, to now be sat in a pub, with no plan.

Cannot recommend this company, wouldn't want anyone left in the position we were in.

The ease of booking the event from start to end. The communication with the event planner was great and consistent. The venue & dance teacher for the Bollywood 50th birthday was great. “Such fun” 🤩 . My only complaint was there was no complimentary water bottles available for guest to drink especially as the weather was extremely hot. Other than that I would recommend this experience.

Amazing service

I chose Funktion Events for organising a hen party because a package booking would be so much more ideal, they offered the flexibility to tailor a package with the hotel and activities we wanted.

Initially, my experience was excellent. Communication through WhatsApp was quick and helpful, the booking process was straightforward and they were very responsive to any questions before I committed to booking. The package also included extras such as a local bar guide and free nightclub entry, which made it feel like good value.

Unfortunately, once I had paid and confirmed the booking, the level of service noticeably declined. I found myself having to chase responses to queries, and I also had to point out that parts of our booking had been missed from the itinerary. When these were eventually added, some of the information was incorrect, including addresses for our activities.

I was also disappointed that, after booking I was informed that the free nightclub entry was no longer included. There had been no communication beforehand that this had changed, despite it being one of the advertised inclusions.

The hotel that was booked for us also seemed poorly located in relation to our activities. The two activities themselves were only a short walk from each other, yet the hotel was much further away than expected, making travel less convenient than it needed to be.

On the day of one of our activities, the itinerary stated that I simply needed to give my name on arrival. However, when we arrived for the champagne punting experience, the venue had no record of our booking, which was stressful and embarrassing when organising a hen party.

Overall, the weekend was still enjoyable because of the people I was with, but I was disappointed that the organisation after booking didn't match the excellent service I received beforehand. I feel there is a real gap between the sales process and the customer service once payment has been made. With better communication, more attention to detail, and improved administration, my experience would have been much more positive.

If I was to plan another event like this, funktion events would not be the company I would use.

Easy booking process

The best start to our friends hen do, all dancing together to Abba! It was such a fun class and we haven’t stopped talking about it since! Our lovely dance teacher was very welcoming, went over any steps we needed to practice. Such a happy day!

Did an ABBA dance class for my friends hen. Was so much fun. Instructor took it at the groups speed and was no pressure to pick up the routine! Great session.

Booked an ABBA dance class for my sisters hen do and it was brilliant. The class itself was fun, accessible, relaxed and enjoyable but we also learnt so much!
