Having Floating shelveshad shelves and mantle from…
Having had shelves and mantle from FunkyChunky previously I wanted two more shelves. These were ordered and quickly dispatched. Unfortunately there was a delivery delay solely due to a courier problem. FunkyChunky were exceptional in their customer service and couldn't have been more helpful.

Oak fireplace mantel 4"x6"
I bought a 4x6 oak beam which I wanted to review on Funky Chunky Website as I'm really pleased with it and wanted to share my photo. But Feefo wanted lots of information for me to write a review including an upload of my invoice! So this is my only option, my beam did have some minor damage in one corner where it was possibly dropped either in workshop or by delivery team, so I had to smooth it off with some light sandpaper. Other than that it looks lovely.

The delivery was Shocking by DHL and…
The delivery was Shocking by DHL and now no contact from Chunky Funky.
My mantle delivery was scheduled for Monday and I had a tracking number confirming this, my builder was here all week so I was confident. No delivery arrived and it then said delayed, coming Tuesday. Tuesday came and no Mantle, I tried contacting DHL but you cannot speak to a live operator. I sent them an email, no reply. The tracking then said Thursday, it was getting close to my builder finishing but I thought at least it's coming. Thursday arrived, no mantle and the delivery updated and said Friday ( grrr)...the last day of my builder....he needs it to finish off the tiling around my fireplace. I also tried to contact DHL via email, no response. Friday came and no mantle by 2.00 pm ....I wasn't feeling hopeful. I contacted chunky funky via phone who did say they would dispatch another but obviously I wouldn't receive it till next week, I'm on holiday and it would cost me extra to get my builder back . In desperation wesourced one locally, it was inferior but my builder fitted it ...I wasn't happy but I didn't feel I had much choice on the day and I felt so frustrated and under pressure. Next week came and I received a text from DHL on Tuesday, one hour before delivery to say the original order mantle was arriving, I instructed my neighbour to wait at my house and the original order mantle arrived over a week late.
I contacted chunky funky who said they would pick it up. My neighbour unwrapped it and told me it was nicer than the local one I had fitted ( the local one wasn't great but I was desperate and frustrated at the time as was my builder). It's now going to cost me for my builder to return to hang it and re tile part of it
I've emailed chunky funky to say I would keep it and see if I could be compensated in some way, I cannot return the cheap one and my builder cost. They haven't replied to my email and I followed it up today...no reply.
Looking through the other reviews they have had problems with DHL like this before, the irony is that they sent me a message that day to say DHL would collect it on Tuesday, am I going to send the whole day staying in to see if they are going to collect it.
This has been the most time consuming experience I've every had and wasted so much of my time and energy, let alone costing me double the initial cost plus extra labour and now silence.
Also I was sent a fefoo review link which strangely doesn't work, so I cannot leave a review on there website.
Looking at all the negative reviews on here I'm not hopeful of anything except a load of verbal reasoning that suits them
Updated...strangely a new link arrived for the review today that works. Also I've heard from chunky funky who as predicted, just verbalise some waffle and offer nothing

We completely understand your frustration, and you are absolutely right that your contract is with us, not the courier, which is why we took responsibility and acted as soon as we became aware of the delay.
The delivery failure was caused by DHL, and while this was outside of our direct control, we fully agree that it reflects on us, so we moved quickly to put things right. We immediately offered to send out a replacement mantel using an alternative courier service to avoid any further issues and to try to resolve the matter amicably. We also arranged for the delayed original item to be collected as soon as possible.
I appreciate how disappointing it was having to make last minute arrangements with your builder, and I’m sorry that the timing meant you felt pressured into sourcing a local alternative in the meantime. Had we known sooner about the situation unfolding on your side, we would have continued to work proactively to support you before it reached that point.
We have been responding and are still working to bring this to a resolution. Our intention has always been to help, not to dismiss your concerns, and I’m sorry if it felt that way at any stage.
We will continue to work with you directly to ensure everything is brought to a proper close.

Fantastic quality, great style
We purchased the Derwent High Foot End Bed Frame in Superking size, and it is beautiful. It's beautifully well made, and looks fantastic; it would go in any home, regardless of style, as it sits somewhere between rustic and modern. Delivery was a little faster than expected, and it was very easy to assemble. Just waiting for Christmas to buy the matching side tables :)

Great product, really solid bed and looks great! Came as advertised, very simple to put together as well. Only improvement wpuld be more specific delivery times as mine turned up early lucky a neighbour could keep an eye on it.

Will buy another two shelves soon!
The shelves arrived quickly, the quality of the wood was excellent and the brackets were well-described. All the packaging protected the shelves perfectly, and they look great now they’re on the wall.
Only very minor niggle would be that the instructions were quite generic and I could easily have messed up the asymmetric (but nearly symmetrical) brackets.

Beautifully crafted table and shelves
We ordered a walnut mantel, floating shelf and chopwell dining table from Funky Chunky Furniture as the prices were the best I could find online. Delivery was just over 2 weeks and it was very easy to install/build. The wood is stunning and exactly what we wanted. All the items are beautiful, sturdy and just really well made. We’re very happy!

The last review was actually me but I had to write another one because I ordered again! And I am just amazed again! This time we ordered shelves to match our mantle and I couldn’t be happier!
The delivery and communication was incredible was constantly kept up to date! The quality of these shelves are honestly amazing, I couldnt buy from anywhere else as they just wouldn’t compare.
This is my second order now and will be ordering again when we do the kitchen because the service and quality is unmatched!

Great company, great products and great price! I build media walls for people and this was the first time using Funky Chunky and both myself and my customer are extremely happy with the mantle beam.
Also to note the installation was easy and my preferred method rather than others who use rods. This sat sturdy and secure with no ability to droop.

Excellent Craftmanship
I couldn’t be happier with my handmade bed and bedside cabinets from Funky Chunky Furniture. The quality is absolutely excellent - you can really see the craftsmanship in every detail. The pieces are solid, beautifully finished, and exactly what I was hoping for.
Yes, the wait time was a little longer than some places, but it was well worth it for the quality and finish. The service throughout was great too - friendly, helpful, and they kept me updated along the way.
