Great and efficient insurance company
I have been a client of FWD for several years now, both in home insurance as well as travel insurance. Not only do they handle claims efficiently and professionally, they provide all the necessary support for their clients. Claims are easily submitted through their app, and they respond to clients very quickly.
Efficient with claims
We often purchase our travel insurance with FWD but we've never made any claims on all previous occasions until our recent trip to Europe. We were caught in flight cancellations & delays as a result of airport closure in Dublin due to security threat as well as cyber attack in parts of Europe. Upon our return, we submitted all relevant documents to FWD claiming for hotel stay & delayed arrival of baggage. Within days, our claims were approved and the money was deposited the following day. It was easy dealing with the company and they were efficient in processing our claims. We were happy with the service. Will purchase from them again.

i need to wait till my birthdate to enjoy the discount. the mailer stated that i could enjoy it during my birthday month, that's so confusing

No solution
Purchased a FDW policy during their campaign period last year. Promotion promised a $50 Capland Voucher after 120 days (of no policy cancellation). Its been more than a year and several emails going back and forth on the status, but FWD has only responded with holding replies.

Poor responses and lack of concern shown to a loyal customer.
I made several phone calls to renew my accident policy. It was lapsed by half a day. The calls were answered and they promised to call me back. I called back after three working days. Still they cannot tell me if I can renew it. It is not right to do this to this to anyone who has been renewing her policy for the past four years. I have decided to change my insurance provider.
ease of cancellation benefits for trip and process was fast
hi my family and i were meant to travel to europe but our trip was cancelled as my husband had a surgery. as the air bnb operators in europe charged the full sum and there is no partial refund within 45 days, we would have lost thousands of dollars as a result. the process for claims was very swift, with at most 1 clarification via email. of all the insurance companies, have used ntuc income, aia, great eastern, direct asia in the last 2 decades for travel, my experience with FwD is the best. their process is the fastest, and for medical claims, you receive payment with hours of filing the claim. will urge everyone to use fwd for travel

Have got the Home and fire insurance from them. When claiming from them as there was water leaking from the wall affecting the cabinet, they claim it was not cover. Only water cause by sandstorm and gradual operation leakage is cover. This make me question myself if buying their insurance doesn't serve its purpose and their ads are misleading. How often does Singapore have heavy sandstorm? When come to claim they have many excuses to reject. Having a feeling of being scam.

Ease of renewal of policy
It was easy to make my insurance renewal viabthe FWD portal.

Disappointed with missed-out notice, but satisfied with customer service provided.
Disappointing - did not receive the renewal email for this policy although I had received the renewal policy of another property.
Your customer service officer Dashne was most helpful in checking out what happened and quickly send me a link to effect my home protection renewal.

-Price was lower than another insurance company I compared with.
-did not jack-up the price when I return to this site to buy it's product. Unlike airlines sites, price tends to go up each check (pressure tactic?).
Very Bad Customer Support Staff
I have called the customer service hotline on 7/7/25 around 2:20pm to check on why i could not make payment for an upgraded maid insurance using both mobile and laptop.
A customer service staff asked me many questions and check confirm that there is a problem to buy enhance plan from the renewal link. Instead of helping me to solve the issues to make purchase, she asked me to go through the hardship again and screen shot the problem to email to another dept.
I was so angry and ask her to escalate and advise me next course of action and not making me go through the pain again to screen shot and email to another dept. Instead of explaining to me more, she started to keep quiet and let me in silence and do not want to talk to me !!!!! She keep me in silence for about 10min and force me to hang the phone to close this case. Is this the correct behavior to close my call?
