Fantastic plants and service

I ordered two Christmas tree Picear Conica plants on the 15th October and they arrived on the 17thOctober , they are beautiful looking plants, have a good size, were packaged very well and speed of delivery was excellent.
I'm very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend this company.

Stay Away! Not a bargain, thieves

Sent rotted, moldy bulb that is squishy and in poor condition. This is at the prime of the season, where stock should be fresh. Do not want to plant as it will likely infect other plants.
No explanation, no apology, it's entirely on the customer.
They will not refund unless the bulb "does not grow".

We do not really understand your review/comment because you seemed happy to accept 50% refund at first and 100% if ever the amaryllis bulbs did not develop. What you see around the amaryllis is a peel just like the onions and not an infection. Our amaryllis bulb are fresh and not sterilized which means that the flower can come back every year for at least 15-20 years if you follow the rest period of the bulbs.

Never again - no stars - save yourselves the stress don’t buy from this supplier.

I’m normally a savvy online customer and I wouldn’t order from outside the UK for flowers - however my mother wanted yellow orchids and I couldn’t find it locally / source from a UK based company. I ordered a yellow orchid with an additional pink pot for mum’s 65th birthday. The ordering process didn’t let me add a different address to send to so I had to contact their customer services to amend delivery address. That process seemed to be ok, but a few days later I received a forwarded email from Gardens4you saying that DPD needed another address? I tried inputting the address and I was getting lots of trouble so I emailed the customer service ofcourse no reply. Absolute shambles - I had to download the DPD app and it’s very apparent that Gardens4you just inputted the name of the street and without the house number! A week later after the orchid was dispatched - finally the orchid was delivered but when my mum opened the box in front of the delivery driver, she refused the delivery of dead orchids on her birthday. I contacted the customer service via email on 10 Sep and to date, still no reply.

I have been seeing Gardens4you replies saying you need to take pics, sadly as my mum was so upset she forgotten to take a pic evidence of the dead plant, just refused the delivery. I am entitled to refund for substandard service and goods but I know I wouldn’t get my £40 because my mum didn’t take a pic however it’s more important to me to share my horrible experience of dealing with this company.
At a glance it looks like the company has great customer service score (trustedshop website) but don’t be fooled like me - I have learnt to check recent reviews and you will be shocked....

Update: to Gardens4you customer service team I would be grateful if you can send me a link to the trusted shop website so I can give a real balanced review/ feedback of your service. Thanks!

Our ordering process does allow for a different delivery address, our customer service did input a correct delivery address for you including the house number and there is no need to download a dpd app to correct your address. We reprinted your dpd label and all info is available. You did not contact our customer service, but replied to DPD. Sometimes things go wrong outside our control. which is unfortunate especially when it is a present. We will refund you your order amount which is £33,65

Avoid at all costs! Not great plants and rude CS

I am putting one as 0 is not an option. Where do I start! I'm speechless at the attitude of the customer service department. Condescending, verging on rude and inefficient. Now for the plants. I ordered a number of lavender plants and they arrived in July. They have not grown at all since then and now the company say they are dormant and won't consider a refund until next spring! They have even threatened to respond to this review with pictures. The pictures I took last week show they had not grown!!!!

it is a pity that our multiple conversations have been derided and that you have not understood any of our recommendations. You wanted a full refund of more than 50 € when the photos show very green and vigorous lavender (despite the fact that our planting advice was not followed completely.)
We have received photos of perfectly healthy lavender plants, planted by the end of July and which you believe had not grown. We explained to you in vain that lavender needed a clean ground free from any obstacle and that it was not possible to plant 3 lavender plants in a tiny pot (as in one of your photos) because the lavenders had an expanding width between 25 and 50 cm. As we have informed you the lavenders are now dormant and we will only make a replacement or refund if lavender does not have good growth in the spring.
We are sorry to read your comment so negative on our customer service anyway we are not used to giving in to blackmail or threats especially that our advice was well founded. This is not how a good relationship of trust is established between a client and a company. We will report your comment to the Trust pilot and provide photos and copies of email correspondence if necessary.

Recommended for indoor plants

I've ordered houseplants from Gardens4you on two separate occasions and both orders were great. I ordered an Areca Palm, Dracaena Warneckii, Ficus Benjamina Kinky and a coffee plant and 6 months later all are doing really well. Delivery was within the stated timeframe and all plants arrived unharmed.

If I could give a 0 I would

If I could give a 0 I would. Do not purchase from this company. They reply with patronising emails and do not stand by their refund policy. I have asked numerous times now for the plants to be collected and returned as they are incredibly poor quality and I am not using them but all I am getting is repetitive replies which completely ignore the fact I am asking for the plants to be returned. I wish I had of declined the delivery but I suppose I wouldn’t have known how awful they were until I opened them. They seem to think that all customers have no clue about gardening so just fob you off. Money down the drain and an awful experience. Please avoid .

It is always difficult to have to explain the 4 seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter) to our customers when they have no notion of gardening which clearly seems to be your case. The return of products is clearly mentioned in the terms and conditions that you have accepted during the validation of your order. We also sent them to you by emails.

Perfect condition. Healthy plants.

My first order of 13 shrubs arrived perfectly packaged very fresh and healthy. I am so very impressed. They've been in the garden for a week now and are looking fantastic. I will certainly order from Gardens4You again and would highly recommend. Very prompt delivery too. Thank you.

Will certainly buy from Gardens 4 you again.

I have just read a lot of negative reviews and felt as if I must have been dealing with a different company! My Sanseveria and bulbs arrived promptly and were well packaged to prevent damage. The plant was very healthy and larger than I had expected with lots of new growth coming from the base. Also included were details about how to look after the plant. Excellent price, much cheaper than my garden centre. Will certainly be buying from them again, I hope they don’t let me down.

So Disappointed.

I ordered three plants from this Company but didn't read the reviews first. Big mistake!
The standard camellia is a healthy stick with the top cut off.
The standard bicolour rose has a spindly, lopsided graph which doesn't look like it will last the month.
The clematis is a very small and weedy specimen which was very overpriced.
I cannot recommend this Company.

In autumn, there is less light and it starts to get colder, in this month of September we had a temperature reading of -1.5 ° C last weekend in the Netherlands. Leaves can no longer make food for plants and trees. At their base, a kind of small plug forms, which prevents the sap from circulating. The leaves turn brown, dry out and become brittle and fall off is part of the natural cycle and the seasons. We also cut all of our perennials because the flowering cycle is finished. By buying late in September you know very well that you will not benefit from these plants visually until next spring. You have not made any mistakes, we have a 1 year warranty and we will be happy to replace or refund you these plants if they do not grow the following spring.

Hard water burns and no species info

Disappointed in the care that has gone into the plant I recieved today. Obviously continuously watered overhead with hard water and leaves are caked in hard water deposits and burned in some places and shrivelled up. No mention of last watering date and plant is obviously grafted but no information on genius of plant or information on the type of graft.

If ever your order was not satisfactory send us pictures we are happy to assist you. Description and short text about the plants advertised are visible on the website , the complete description of the product is visible below the text if you click on "details". We have about 6000 references we can not give you the time and date of the last watering, but on the other hand, if you want to know the rootstock used, all you have to do is tell our customer service about it and would be happy to inform you.

Buyer Beware !!

Buyer Beware !!! Was told by customers services pictures are for illustration only, not what you get when I complained that 10 red mini std meillandina roses I received had weak tiny heads and flowers the size of my thumb nail.
Another picture on their web site showing 5 hedging plants in full bloom looking beautiful is impossible to replicate as in reality they all flower at different times.
All complaints seem answered the same way ‘give the plants a chance to grow’ their refund policy is ridiculous as they have no control over the plants once they have been dispatched, so are they going to replace them or give a refund for things that die if you wait as asked ? I don’t think so.

we are sorry that your comment does not reflect our multiple email conversations. The plants advertised and ordered are delivered as young plants in 10 cm diameter pots, they develop well once being potted on or planted in the ground. The text on the product page advises clearly that the photo is for illustration purpose only. All our perennials plants, shrubs and trees are covered by the 1 year growing guarantee, rest assure we have full control over the plants once dispatched. We can have checked on the photo if our planting advice has been followed and if the plants have been put in a suitable and adequate soil, everything is noted in our system and checked by our experts, we always give the guarantee if the plants do not settle. do not develop as desired.

We sell thousands of indoor plants every season in 22 European countries. If you explain to us what your real concern was with ordering a plant, it would certainly be more fruitful than comparing our plants to a Swedish furniture giant whose origin of plants is unknown and probably produced thousands of miles from your comment which is illogical when we imagine the ton of CO2 produced in order to bring here these "depolluting" green plants.

Zero customer service, patronising emails 🙄

I’ve only given one because you can’t give 0. Ordered two vines for a leaving present...one turned up half dead and there started a patronising exchange of emails, where I was basically told that the item should be bent and damaged. I’ve been growing vines for years and know what’s acceptable and what isn’t. Was told to send the plant back at my own cost if I wasn’t happy, which would be more than the plant cost. Which is of course how they operate. Terrible customer service and patronising emails in response to a reasonable request for a refund. I’ll save my money in future and go to people who know what they’re doing 🤬

On the photos the 2 vines are in perfect condition and not damaged. We explained to you and informed you email after email that these vines are grown in 9cm pots outdoors and were completely normal for the season and that the vine is a non-upright plant that must be guided during its growth and development. The color of the leaves is also normal for the time of year as the leaves will soon fall. Unfortunately you were only talking about reimbursement and your great knowledge of the product which is absolutely not reflected in your answers. We also offered to return the products in order to receive a full refund in accordance with your consumer rights, however the shipping costs remain at your expense. In response we received this email from you reflecting an absurd vulgarity on your part, here is an excerpt: "Oh and fuck yourselves. Seen the dreadful reviews...should have saved my money and gone to a reputable company. Morons. "
