If I could give a zero score I would. The so callled admin team never respond to your e-mails. Avoid at all costs.

Yet another Gaydar .
Hard to imagine a worse version of Gaydar but here it is.
Since the update its now totally unusable even as a Vip.
No way to answer messages.
No way to search profiles by distance.
Total rubbish site wanting to charge you for everything.
Bring back the original.

Since the "upgrade" you can no longer send or receive messages on the app, which somehow I think is the most important aspect

The website now adds you to random groups which you cannot leave

Paid for VIP MEMBERSHIP 4th June, (that's a misnomer for a start) via Google play, took the money and did not activate my upgrade, submitted service request same day via app and got a ticket number, 2 days later replied to email still no response, submitted further 3 support requests got the ticket numbers and still no response, contacted Google Play who basically said tough luck nothing to do with us suggested going through the app link on Google Play for contact info, sent email, what a surprise, no response, called telephone number, does not exist. Will now have to go through the bank for them to claw back the payment.

Glad to know I'm not alone with new Gaydar disappointment. At a stroke, the chat function is available only to paying members. Thus so many will be cut off from friendly interaction. I might have been inclined to pay again for membership anyway, before this harsh new policy. But - a recent three-month membership was just cut off after one month. Three queries about this unfairness have been ignored. This in no way encourages trust for further engagement with the site. Very poor (to understate) customer service, and a great disappointment from a formerly capable site.

No chat ability on an app supposedly designed specifically to enable conversation between men wanting to connect, date, meet and most importantly initially converse! Is the expectation we are supposed to look at a profile and then somehow telepathically link up? Added to that they seek to charge membership fees for this privilege of an online silent monastery! An inherently flawed and seemingly unsupported app/website given chat still down now on day 5. You have told your members what they are worth…thank you for that! Appalling.

03/03/2025. It's now been 3 days since the chat function on this site stopped working. There has been no ticed on the main site and I contacted then regarding this, but yet again they received my email, but no reply.
This site is now total crap! Gaydar is now mainly a selection of chat rooms, that very few actually chat in. The most probable reason is that the chat part of Gaydar is constatly disconnecting and can take ages before it's working again and that can last only 15-30 seconds, then goes down again!
This has been an issue for a few months now. I contacted them nearly 3 weeks ago about it and never received a reply back from them.
The way it is going, I can't see this site lasting the year, unless major changes and upgrades are made on the site, but this might be too late as guys are all so pissed off with it!

they stole money from my account every month.I contacted them and said I no longer wanted the service as it was very poor.they keep taking money every month and do not answer when you try to contact them and their phone number does not work. They are thieves by taking payment that I have told them aty least once a month since October.

GDONLINE (the company which runs Gaydar) was happy to take my annual subscription money at the beginning of August 2024 (as my Visa statement proves). One month later, they were equally happy to rescind my "VIP" membership (without notification and without refunding me any money). In September, when I made an official complaint to them (known as a 'request') there was no reply. When I made a second 'request' about the problem, also in September, the same radio silence. When I visited the official address of one of the directors at 21 Meard Street in Soho, I was told that nobody of that description was at the address.
If this isn't fraud, it's doing a damn good job at masquerading as such.

Omg to think this was once the No1 site what a 💩 .
The most pathetic part it keeps asking to upgrade but won’t let me !

Gaydar is useless if you don't pay for it.. literally can't do anything

I left last year and they keep taking money out my bank account and they keep doing nothing to stop it or they won’t because they like the money. I call this stealing and theft. I left in February 2024 and as well as £16.99 & £24.00 and 7x 6.99 comes to a tidy amount. I want my money back thieves!

It's not even worthy of 1 star, honestly.

The app could not be accessed, not current and relevant profiles or information the first time it was accessed, could never log in to do anything, all apps were cancelled within the App store, yet they chose to bill anyway. Basically, it's a complete scam that offers nothing and bills people for services that are not worthy of even a penny. They ought to pay others (and probably do for fake profiles) to access the App, if it's even possible to do so to obtain anything of value. I'm disputing the charge with the App Store and have filed a complaint with GDonline as well.

I paid for VIP membership for 3 months non recurring, cost around £18. After 1 month on VIP I was downgraded back to guest. On 25th May I sent a message to their customer support, no response. I sent another message a week later, no response. Third week, no response. Multiple chase ups. Finally get a response. "We're looking into it" then nothing, chased again NOTHING. Customer Support is non existent.

I was told to try out gaydar after leaving it, mid-subscription, years ago after the disastrous re-write.
Nothing has changed as I get the server 500 error on the log-in. How can gaydar have gone down even more since the awful re-write?
I’ll ignore my recommendation from the other party and stay with the ones that work.

Gaydar USED to be a great site, then they changed everything and now it is rubbish. The site is now full of Russians, e-mail address collectors and Scammers. Just not worth using anymore, and certainly not worth paying for.

Wow! Seriously, I’d not have imagined they could have made the site even worse than when they first ruined it. I was so wrong.

It took me forever to find the log in page. Logging in was a nightmare. When finally done, (and once more had to change my password) - I’d absolutely no clue how to search for what I was looking for. In the end I had to contact customer service - which naturally, being Gaydar, they make as tricky as possible.

Gentlemen, if you’re thinking of joining Gardar, unless you love ineptitude and frustration, don’t! Just don’t.

Their staff have nothing but contempt for their users. It’s as if they’ve sat down and done their best to make the site as un-user-friendly as possible.

As a rule, I never write bad reviews. For this pile of shameful trash, I’m happy to make an exception. How can something so good, so popular turn into something so crap?

I’ll wait to see if they bother to respond to my query. I’ll not hold my breath.

Gardar used to be the best gay ‘dating’ site on the internet. A real community spirit. When these hew guys took over, they completely ruined it, little by little. Bit by bit.
