I have only had the app for one month…

I have only had the app for one month and I am very happy with it. In this month I have only used it for groceries and not gas. I will use it this week for gas and see what happens. So far it’s worked fine and giving me the correct cash back. There was a delay for some of the purchases but ultimately I got the credit. I will keep on using it and update my review if my opinion changes.

Just wish they would use more gas stations than Circle K. I use Frys and Fast Trip mostly.

I recently found out from a server at…

I recently found out from a server at ihop that for the last 4 visits she has not gotten her tip. I paid $30 each time with the upside app. So where is that $30? Yes I get a percentage back then it would mean that they are keeping $30 of the servers tip and giving me back like $15? Does that seem fair to anyone. I would never have known until the last server who was different than the one who usually serves us said anything. She was our server that day because our usual server got tired of us not ripping. Can you imagine that you have been tipping and it didn't get to her the last 4 times?

Just to clarify, our app doesn't process or handle any of the money paid to the business, so all payments and tips go directly into the restaurant's payment system. We highly recommend checking with the restaurant directly so their management can look into what happened on their end.

Bait and Switch Rarely do I get my…

Bait and Switch Rarely do I get my promised discount cash back. I claim the offer, use my linked card (the physical card), then they always ask for a receipt since my card is an Apple Card. After taking almost 3 weeks each time to "process", then proceed to tell me they know the Apple Card masks/changes the number but they cannot honor their end of the deal- even though I followed all steps as required. Customer service is just a bunch of canned responses and worthless. I could have gone to Kroger and saved immediately, a tad less than what Upside promises to offer but I don't see that promised savings anyway. So I will be going back to the Kroger down that is guaranteed savings, immediately without all of the hassle. Upside must use archaic technology that I wouldn't trust my info in. Ive cashed out the whopping 30 bucks I have earned in 2 YEARS and changed my card number and deleted my account with them. and rest assured Upside, your response is canned and we all know it so no I won't waste another minute trying to fix this if you pop in here and act like you want to fix this - I no longer care and have filed complaints with FTC and BBB so others will know.

Specific Gas Stations & Restaurants display based on your location. I learned the first time that I clicked the wrong gas station that was 8 miles away. After my purchase didn't process I "chatted" my concern. My issue was resolved and I got a 1 time courtesy credit. I learned you need to make sure you are claiming the deal at the exact location for the cash back to process. 1. Find & claim your deal/location. 2 make the purchase. 3 cash back will gradually add up. I have about $7.50 after 3 fill-ups that can be transferred to a bank account or towards gift cards. Very important to claim your deal at the exact location.

Great App that helps save you money

Great App that helps save you money. Rarely there is an issue having cash credited for a purchase, but when that happens their support team figures it out and makes right by you. Never had an issue getting my cash from Upside.
Everyone should download the App and give it a try.

My account got hacked twice

My account got hacked twice. Once for $144 that that was redeemed for a Home Depot gift card and once for $11 that was redeemed for an Apple gift card. I did not authorize these cash outs. Upside does not have a customer service number, I can only file a complaint. I filed a complaint and when they got back to me they said they don’t reimburse unauthorized cash outs. DO NOT use upside!! It’s a scam!!

I'm sorry this happened to you, Nick. As outlined in our FAQ, our policy is that we do not issue refunds for completed cashouts. Since access to both your Upside account and the linked email is required to access the cashout, we are unable to reverse transactions once they have been processed. Our Terms of Service also state that redemptions of cash back rewards are final and cannot be reversed or refunded.
