Misleading and unacceptable service
Misleading and unacceptable service. This 7-hour journey was sold as a luxury bus, but it failed on every level. The bus was infested with bugs, which is a serious cleanliness issue and completely unacceptable for any service, let alone one marketed as luxury. Staff were, rude, and unprofessional throughout the trip. Advertising this as a premium experience is false and dishonest. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company. Cheap at a cost!! We lost a days travel an left with bites all over our necks.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with GetYourGuide, and calling this a “company” feels generous — it operates more like a group of pirates taking your money and disappearing when things go wrong.
First, the booking itself seemed fine, but that’s where the good part ends. The tour I paid for didn’t match the description at all. What was advertised as a premium, well-organized experience turned out to be rushed, disorganized, and honestly a waste of time and money.
The real nightmare started when I tried to get help. Customer support was practically nonexistent. Responses were slow, generic, and completely unhelpful — like talking to a wall. When I requested a refund, despite clearly qualifying under their own cancellation policy, I was given the runaround again and again. It felt like they were deliberately stalling until I gave up.
What makes it worse is how they hide behind third-party providers. When something goes wrong, they shift the blame instead of taking responsibility. So you’re stuck in the middle, with no one willing to fix the issue.
In the end, I paid for a service I didn’t receive, got zero accountability, and wasted valuable time during my trip. This platform feels designed to take your money first and deal with problems never.
Avoid at all costs unless you’re willing to risk losing your money and your patience.

5 stars. Alex was fantastic.
He contacted us in advance with very clear instructions and made the whole trip feel easy and well organized from the beginning. We were staying in Gangnam, and his recommendation to start earlier was absolutely the right move. It helped us beat the traffic and improved our chances for a smooth DMZ visit during a busy time.
He was punctual, professional, and very helpful throughout the day. He explained everything clearly, kept the tour moving on time, and made sure we knew the rules and expectations at each stop. The entire experience felt safe, efficient, and well managed.
The DMZ tour itself was memorable, and the suspension bridge stop was a great bonus. We really appreciated Alex’s communication, planning, and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

After I googled for activities to do in the Gion district in Kyoto, an hour with a Geiko by Get your Guide popped up. Ordering tickets was super easy and the company sent reminder notifications along with a WhatsApp message containing g all important information. cancellation
I purchased a tour of the Royal Palace in Madrid more than 30 days ago. Payment was made, but to my surprise, Get Your Guide canceled my tour the day before. This is absurd and disrespectful.

Inaccurate trip descriptions!
Very easy to book which is great and lots of options to choose from. Unfortunately I think a lot of the information is out of date and the excursion descriptions are inaccurate. Two of our three trips from Dubrovnik were not as advertised, briefly, our cocktail cruise left from a different port and our Montenegro trip was blighted by long customs processes. None of this was explained or updated before the trip. The company needs to get on top of what is going on and actually pay attention to what they are selling.

From Naples with love
We planned a trip to Naples almost two years ago. We already knew we wanted some new experiences and booked three activities via GetYourGuide. Take Peru tour reservations then cancel later
I booked a tour within Peru that showed as available, and I paid in full. Then I booked non-refundable airline tickets around this. 9 days later GYG contacted me telling me to cancel and get a refund because they couldn't get tickets and permits to do the tour. The problem is that when you take a reservation before first determining actual availability, people incur non refundable expenses and build an itinerary around that.

I booked and paid for a tour in Santa Cruz, Tenerife back in July for April 22 and received a confirmation number. As the date got closer, I heard nothing. Three days before the tour, I emailed multiple times to confirm—no response. I even tried calling the local provider (Gloma Travel)—no answer.
Then at 11 PM the night before, I was told the tour was canceled because the guide was sick.
I understand emergencies happen—but the complete lack of communication is unacceptable. No advance notice, no response to my emails, and no chance to rebook something else. This ruined my plans for the day.
GetYourGuide failed completely on customer service and responsibility. A refund doesn’t fix poor handling like this.
I will not use GetYourGuide again—and I strongly recommend using a more responsive company instead.

The information is very clear, with reminders and directions to the event. There are excursions for every budget and every taste. In case of any kind of dificulties their response is very quick and helpful.
