Multiple warranty denial
Warranty claim refused repeatedly despite proof of the initial defect.
- Frame is cracking at a point where there were original default on frame and Giant services dissuaded me from asking for warranty at that time. Now I have an unsaleable bike of less than 2 years old 😤
- They changed rear wheel 5 times with each time the same one and every time I got a growing gap on bearing that are destroying all parts related. Wheels are getting a +1mm gap each 750kms approximatively... They don't want to assume that their part is poorly designed.
This brand is to ban. They don't like bicycle & user experience they like money. They put people in danger.
Purchased a $5000 Momentum Pak Yak…
Purchased a $5000 Momentum Pak Yak electric bicycle. Most expensive bike purchase ever made. Nothing but a disappointment from the start. Retailer was not comfortable with the issues and service needs right out of the store. Problems persisted. Winter came, we put bike away and addressed in spring. Now, out of warranty. New retailer was shocked to see the quality of the rear hub. Order a new one and installed. Good service. However, Giant was quick to make us pay for the parts and labor even with a track-record of the original issues. Called Giant corporate, no return response. Email next, no response. Look elsewhere and buy from a company that believes it starts with a customer centric attitude. Giant fails here.
My son ordered a bike they didn’t have…
My son ordered a bike they didn’t have it or wanted to sell in the advertised price in stead of canceling the order they send a different bike and took his money when he canceled the order it took 3 weeks to get the refund great lesson for a 16 yo on what a 💩 company looks like
Appalling new bike setup and customer…
Appalling new bike setup and customer service.
Had to go to another bike retailer to get the bike fitted correctly.
Original setup so bad we needed a new 15degree 85mm stem to rectify.
Giant Sydney took no responsibility at all and washed their hands of me and the bike after there 2nd band aid attempt was only marginally better than the first but way way off where it should have been.
The Giant Defy Advanced Pro is a great bike but the setup and service means i will never recommend Giant again (the Defy was my 3rd Giant bike).
My Escape bike is now running like new

Long Mile Road Giant - Excellent service
I had my bike serviced at the Long Mile road Giant store in Dublin. The service was fantastic and the guys very kindly helped me with a couple of small fixes to the bike a few weeks afterwards. Absolutely recommend this business.
Purchased TCR Pro O in 5 /2023
Purchased TCR Pro O in 5 /2023 . ($6600)
Power Meter quit holding a charge 5/2025.
Bike doesn’t have 2000 miles on it ,
Now that I’m recently retired I had planned on riding much more with my free time.
LBS where Bike was purchased informed me that another customer has the same issue with his bike that was purchased a week after mine .
LBS still waiting on a return phone call from Giant on either of these bikes , but as he said he doesn’t think it will be favorable on the customers end .
I personally called Giant Customer service 5 days ago .
Left 4 voice mails plus one lady I did speak to said she would personally give “ Omar” ( I believe that was the name ) the note to call me .
Still not 1 customer service return call from Giant .
If you search online for warranty info some articles say1 year warranty some say 2 on the Pro Meter .
LBS said that Giant doesn’t make the power meter .
I understand that , but help me with a simple phone call so we can discuss my options .
I have purchased 2 New Giant Bikes personally plus had 2 friends purchase Giant bikes with me from the same LBS .
Strongly considering a new Bike purchase this week , it sure won’t be from Giant due to their total lack of support for their Brand .
Social Media today and telling my story to cycling friends won’t help improve sales I’m sure .
I’m extremely disappointed with Giant Electric Bicylces
I’m extremely disappointed with @GiantUK after my £4,500 electric bike battery failed just 3 months out of warranty — despite barely using the bike. I was told the battery is “dead” due to a BMS shutdown. Despite being offered a £150 discount for a replacement battery - RRP £650, I believe this should be offered FOC.
Giant claim their batteries are “the best out there” with “years and years of riding” and up to 2,300 full charges — yet mine barely lasted two years with minimal use.
This feels like a product defect, not wear and tear. I expected more from a premium brand. If you sell bikes at this price point, you should stand by your products.

Punctured a hole in my front tire when I brought my bike in for service
Lied and said they didn't do it
I had Chris fill it up and it went flat. U could here the hissing. Plus on the side a white mark pointing to the location of the hole.
Looks like Chris got angry and stabbed my tire with a screw driver.
Excellent help and fast service
Giant make great bikes but a smooth…
Giant make great bikes but a smooth sales process is woefully let down by a hit and miss dealer network where some are truly excellent, whilst others treat you like a steaming pile of dog muck!
I ordered a Giant Talon E+ which after 60 miles was creaking like crazy from the motor area. Upon Giant's recommendation i contacted my local Giant dealer to be told "you didn't buy it from me so there's nothing in it for me so take it elsewhere!" I kid you not, a Giant dealer who refuses to look at a Giant Bike under warranty because online orders from Giant are despatched from whoever has the stock and in this instance a shop in Scotland, rather than Cumbria.
Anyway luckily after a 70 mile round trip to my next local dealer (Palace Cycles in Carlise) the bikes now running quietly and i've got to say the whole process and impression of Giant was actually saved by the understanding, care and professionalism of Palace Cycles. Giant, you owe them big time for saving your reputation.
Obviously had the bike been assembled correctly in the first place then none of this would ever have occured!
I bought a Defy Advanced 1
I bought a Defy Advanced 1. Lovely bike until there were some issues with the bike after 4 months and less than 200 miles.
The warranty process was a joke .
Took it to the local Giant dealer, however as I hadn’t purchased it from them
I was expected to pay for the hourly labour rate to rectify the fault and claim the fees from the supplying store. Diagnosed with movement in the rear wheel. Rear hub was serviced and it was agreed this was a factory fault. £25 paid !
Took the bike out and same fault was present. Returned the bike to the store. After 5 days there was no progress in repairing the bike as the store was waiting for authority from Giant to authorise the
repair under warranty.
In frustration I collected the bike and took it to Discovey Cycles as South Cerney. Within 48hrs the bike was repaired.
I have emailed Giant with my concerns however to date I’ve had no reply.
Group purchase discount not given even though promised.
I recently just purchased a revolt advanced 0.
Myself and two friends also bought bicycles so 3x in total and we're told we would recieve a discount as a group.
Although this was not the case, I was sold a 2024 model of the Revolt advanced 0 price €4200 approx.
Reduced to €2900.
Although this was not discounted, he simply reduced by
- €500 because previous year's model
- €700 because the carbon wheels were replaced with aluminium.
The illusion of a deal was done but swapping out the wheel and reducing the price made it more appealing to buy the more expensive bike.
I feel my lack of knowledge was used against me when purchasing.
What I would like to have seen was a discount % for group discount on the receipt.
Can you help with this ?
Disappointed with Giant’s Support and Battery Performance – Not Worth the Hype
I purchased the Giant Trance X Advanced E+ EL 1 expecting a premium e-MTB experience, but my excitement quickly turned into frustration.
I chose this model for its lightweight carbon frame and powerful SyncDrive motor, and I appreciated the flexibility of extending the range using Giant's Power Extender system (attached via the bottle cage). On paper, the modular 800Wh setup (400Wh battery + two 200Wh extenders) sounded like a brilliant solution for long rides. In reality, however, the bike underdelivers—and the company doesn’t stand behind its product. The first short rides were good, but then i had problems.
1. Unreliable System & Poor Customer Support
Twice now, the bike shut down mid-ride and refused to turn back on, despite the extender showing full charge. Sometimes fiddling with buttons or reconnecting cables works, but often it doesn’t. When I brought it in, the dealer held it for two weeks, running diagnostics as instructed by Giant. Since no faults were “detected,” Giant refused to take any responsibility. No replacement. No meaningful explanation. Just a lot of wasted time and zero support.
2. Battery Claims Don’t Match Reality
The advertised range is misleading. I ride with my wife, who owns a 3-year-old Bulls e-bike with a 750Wh battery and a motor of similar power. With my full 800Wh Giant setup, I drain everything, while she still has 20–30% battery remaining. Either Giant’s system is inefficient, or the real capacity is nowhere near advertised.
I bought a Cypress Large on 27Aug24
I bought a Cypress Large on 27Aug24. After two months it started skipping amd everytime it skips I am standing so I almost wreck. Shop has called Giant and sent the two top gear sprockets instead of a new cassette. Giant customer service and quality on the Cypress is a freakin joke! Wasted my money on a crap bicycle that lasted two months. I could bought a piece of junk from Walmart that lasted longer than this junk!
Excellent service
The service is excellent and efficient. The staff members are professionals and friendly. I have got my bike well repaired from several faults. Highly recommend for anyone needing quick and reliable bike repairs.
electric motor seized - have to throw away bike
I bought an e-fathom in NZ for $4000 - I've always had trouble with the motor mounts being noisy but now that it is out of warranty, the motor has completely seized. The retailers here don't have the skills to service the motor and so just say ' buy a new motor'. This with labour costs would cost 50% of a new bike. It's probably just a bearing but I now have to throw away a perfectly decent bike and to rub salt into the wound, pay to throw it away at the local recycling depot - it's such a waste.
I'll look for a different brand now as I can't trust the reliability of Giant.
Absolutely loved the 2023 Trance…
Absolutely loved the 2023 Trance Advance I purchased but unfortunately I had to return it due to foot injury and surgery. Giants tec support came up with all kinds of excuses to deny my refund first, they said I surpassed the 14 day return policy. The bike was supposed to be delivered to the bike shop Thursday but for whatever reason the shipper did not deliver a bike till Monday. The bike was not ready for me to pick up until four days later. Their next excuse was I had done all kinds of upgrades and the bike warranty was void. I responded prove to me what I did to that bike to avoid a warranty. It has been two weeks and no response and in between all this, the riser post does not work properly. It is stuck in Eco speed, but Giant persists in saying that this is all my fault I had to bike for less than two weeks. I am 67 years old. I don’t fly over hills and jump over rocks. I just like going out on the back woods trails and enjoying the peace and quiet. I have also sent Giant my name and phone number. I have called them a number of times and no one seems to be there. Shame on you, Giant.
Repetitive Charger Failure and lack of service
Purchased a Giant revolt e bike from Evo bikes- nice bike. Only problem is that the charger has now failed 3 times, and they unable to replace it or provide any details around this. So I now have a bike I cannot use. Not impressed and cannot recommend Giant.
