Thanks for all the help replacing my tripod legs and the new snow and sand shoes for my tripod

I recently bought the Gitzo Mini Traveler Tripod especially because I liked very much the design of the head with its fixing ring instead of classical knob at the side. As I own a Traveler Series 0 which included such a head and is of similar dimension I hoped to exchange them. Unfortunately the head of the mini traveler is much less stable as the connection rod between ball and attachement plate is unecesary (!) thinner and longer. Therefore the camera vibrates more (too much) with the mini traveler head. Why can't or won't Gitzo just make a decent small head with a fixing ring and ball coating like the Traveler series 1 head but without Arca Swiss-like attachement plate?

Overall design of the tripod is OK.

Arrived, professionally packaged and boxed in excellent condition.

Easy to order. The vender packaged equipment well, and it arrived earlier than expected. The rigidity and secure locking on the shaft of the monopod is great. The best feature is that it extends higher than 99% of the other monopods, making it very useful for supporting my 400 2.8 lens wild shooting birds in flight in the field.

Great product. Over the years I have had many tripods, but they have never lasted. I think probably the hit I I have now will be my last tripod.

Needed to replace old series 3 mountaineer tripod. Very good advice From Gitzo to go without middle column this time via the Systematic version- saved a few dollars, less weight, less vibration with big lens and lower to the ground for ultra wide angle landscapes.

Gitzo is among the premiere platforms for a photographer. How good do you want your pictures to be? As good as you can make them, correct? OK, get Gitzo. I have 4: two tripods and a monopod I just bought and a tripod I bought in 1980 (fabrique en France). All are in primo condition in every aspect. Recommended without reservation.
