Getting protected was easy and painless
I spoke with Ashley about our protection and felt really confident about choosing the right plan due to the information provided on the phone. Ashley was really thorough and helpful with answering any questions and concerns I had about the cover - providing detail about costs and offering to explain any jargon I may not have understood that was related to policy. Overall getting my insurance set up was a quick and painless experience - which I really appreciate.

worst experience i've ever had
made me want to give up. Quite literally the worst design of anything i've ever used. the chat bot function is so unbelievably unfit for purpose, it could not comprehend any complexity whatsoever. Asked my guarantor for a tax return after confirming salary with bank statements, a reference from the bank and one from their work. Turn back now while you still have your sanity, it is too late for us.

Rachel was incredibly rude. No intention of trying to help understand why referencing was denied despite following their instructions exactly as stated, rather than contacting me to simply resolve the issue via a quick phone call or a few emails, they closed the review knowing that the agent will HAVE to pay them again to make a small amendment.
No choice as a tenant but I would surely avoid them as a landlord/agent...

Do not use this company for rent protection!. My tenant has been in arrears since August. I reveived part of a months arrears payment from them in November, and nothing since then.
They make up excuses and queries about the rent statement to avoid and delay paying out.
There is no contact number for them so has to be done through email and they take ages to respond to each email.
Which is why it is now April and still have not received anything else from them.
You pay them to protect you in instances like this,but when you need them, they wont pay out.

Good salesman but...
The guy I was speaking to (Ashley I think?) was very polite and nice to talk to, and I'd imagine he did everything very by the book. Very thorough in explaining everything. I just found the whole experience felt really forced. Like I was being pushed to buy when I really wanted time to consider things and get talk to my partner about whether or not we needed the insurance policies I was being pushed to get.

It would have been 5 star experience if the user experience was better. The UI is not built for dynamics that could occur. E.g. - there is no way to recover of an erroneous entry is made. However customer service were helpful and addressed the issue.

Absolutely ridiculous company over two weeks of back and forth with them over my referencing checks.
Wasn't able to complete the income section even with 3 months of payslips they said this was not enough evidence to prove my income over the last 3 months.
This has made me homeless and force to move into a air b and b!

Great experience
My whole experience with Goodlord has been really good actually. I dealt with Ella Edwards regarding the insurance. She was low pressure, very honest, and did everything to get me great quotes. When I couldn't decide between the companies she brought up Trust Pilot and helped me choose on the best rated.
