Heidi asked what help we needed, I wanted boots for fishing beach not expensive walking that I have already. Heidi advice and knowledge when nothing quite fitted (I needed narrow fitting) sorted with lovely pair so comfortable.

I popped in to ask about advice on emergency camping stoves, lights and torches. Duncan was fabulous - he listened to my situation, advised on various products with excellent knowledge, yet did not come across as ‘pushy’.
I came away very satisfied and with exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price. Thank you

I wanted to purchase a pair of fleece gloves at the Dorchester store on Dec 29th .I chose a pair of Peter Storm gloves in Navy which had a price of 6.97.once at the till I was advised that the price was in fact 10 pounds unless I purchased a members card for and addl 5 pounds? I queried the illustrated price with the assistant and she advised the higher non member price was shown on the pricing label -however on inspection the low price was in bold numbers but if the price of 10 pounds was on the price display I could not see it-the glove were hung at floor level so unless in kneel on the floor i was never going to see it. Also I did not see any mention of the members card which has to be purchased on the display. I wanted the gloves so paid 10 pounds -however I do feel there has to be more clarity in the pricing displayed on your price tags as you surely do have a duty of clarity to inform customers of the varying pricing structures and the higher non member price must be the main price shown? Any notice of having to purchase a product at the price shown would incur an addl 5 pounds charge for a membership card was not clearly displayed.
It is misleading and surely not a transparent trading standard to adopt? I would be interested in your response as the assistant advised that the pricing displays were the responsibility of the head office?

Ellie at the Dorchester location was very helpful and friendly.

The person serving us was incredibly helpful and patient - I'm vegan and so trying to determine which boots were suitable was a challenge - unfortunately it wasn't obvious from the signs! In spite of this the person was willing to check in their system to try and find some. I'd give a 5 for the custom service - only reason this is a 4 is ideally we should have been able to figure it out ourselves without help!

The staff were so helpful it was a treat to deal with such friendly people

We always get our walking shoes in the Dorchester store. They are always helpful and stock good quality shoes at competitive prices. Both my sister and I bought the Meindl ones which we are very pleased with. The staff are lovely being both friendly and professional.

Although we arrived at a busy time, the delivery had just landed, Luke took his time to listen to what I needed relating to a new pair of walking boots. Initially I wasn’t the best customer, I hate buying new boots, but with Luke’s pleasant manner, infinite patience and just by being super helpful, I left with a well fitting, within my price range and good looking pair of boots with a smile on my face! Thank you Luke for making what for me is usually a horrendous ordeal, one of the best experiences I have had of buying boots. I hope you find some space to store the delivery and forgive me for being a grumpy git!

I had a great experience in store - with help from Heidi who assisted me with fluid bladders! She also helped to set up a Go outdoors card- saving me money! What a good experience- definitely will be back! Thanks Heidi!

We are praising highly by our experience today, and that is solely with the two employees namely Luke & Heidi who were both very helpful and with an excellent sense of humour. We shall visit again.
