As the title reads, John in fact was the best! As a novice hiker, he made sure I had the proper fit of shoes. Friendly and expert staff!

I was half way through the Great Glen Way and my Vango 200 tent pole snapped and ripped the fabric, so my self and my kit got soaking wet and a uncomfortable night.
I had to walk 3.5 miles to the nearest bus stop back to Fort William, only to be told that my purchase of this tent was not on there database and not able to help?
I've spent a lot of money in Go outdoors over the years on walking and climbing kit and I have to say that I was very disappointed in the outcome of this situation. The outlet was happy to sell me a new tent but could not supply me with a replacement pole. A new tent would've eaten heavily into my budget for this venture, so I had to bear the cost of a return home. I was very disappointed in the service which I considered dismissive.

Visited the store to get my children back to school jackets. The staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was a problem to them. Smiley and cheerful :) thanks guys!!

Yesterday I was in your store to purchase some shirts, having found what I wanted I stood in line and waited to be served, in front of me was a group of Chinese women who were very rude and impatient, Agnieszka the lady who served me deserved a medal for the patience and professionalism with which she demonstrated while dealing with the rude women, she was very apologetic to me for their behaviour but I said it should not be for her to apologise. Agnieszka was assisted by a young gentleman but I did not get his name unfortunately.

Always a pleasure visiting and staff are always so helpful, found what I was looking for.

The store manager and assistant were incredibly helpful with only a few minutes until their (summer) Sunday closing time. Very kindly let me check out the hiking shoes I was hoping to get, let me try some out and of course with the decent selection they had, plus the right size I was lucky to get there just in time to buy them too. Really efficient and massively appreciate their time and patience too. Thank you so much!

Bought a really nice Kuhle jacket which I had been looking at for ages.Served by Agnesca (the boss) and as always well looked after. With half a dozen outdoor shops in the high street the thing that takes you back to buy is the service, which as always was excellent.

Agnaskia was as always the best! Always so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much hassle for her and she always goes out of the way to help

If I could give this store zero stars, I would. The customer service at the Fort William branch was terrible.
​First, I approached a young staff member who was too busy arranging a display to help. Instead of assisting me, he just pointed me toward another colleague who was already busy with a customer.
​When I finally got the attention of the cashier—who acted like helping me was a massive favor—it only got worse. I asked for a size 8.5 in hiking shoes. He confidently told me that they "don't do half sizes." This is completely incorrect, as Salomon absolutely makes half sizes.
​When I explained that I specifically wanted hiking shoes because I already own boots, he dismissed my choice entirely and told me hiking shoes are "no good." It felt like they had zero interest in making a sale, probably because it was getting close to lunchtime. Incredibly disappointing experience.

My visit in store today was a prime example of perfect customer service! Went in looking for down wash and couldnt see it on the shelf. Agnieska (store manager) instantly went and found some, when I explained what Inwas using it for she offered advice and gave me some extra items to help. After 7 nights on the West Highland Way my sleeping bag will be nice and clean

Wife walked in and was approached by this lady who not only helped her with fitting her size but also gave her the ‘member price’.

Excellent friendly staff! Chris was very knowledgeable and helped me to pick the right pair of waterproof trainers and David was so cheerful while serving me at the till. Lovely staff
