Poor Customer Service
Well, where do I start?
I took my bike in for repair on Monday. The customer assistant explained that the bike technician wouldn’t be in until Tuesday, so I left the bike with the store. I didn’t receive any updates, so I popped in on Thursday.
After waiting 10 minutes at the desk, while seeing several staff members standing and talking, I had to raise my voice to get someone’s attention. When someone finally came to speak to me, I was told that work on my bike hadn’t started because the bike stand had broken. The store had a replacement, but it hadn’t been assembled yet.
I asked how long it would take to repair my bike, as I needed it urgently and had already been waiting three days. I was told, “If it’s urgent, you’ll have to go somewhere else.”
Oh and a fyi I still haven’t received my discount card in the post.

We are sorry to hear about the issues you have experience. We appreciate how frustrating it must have been to leave your bike for repair, receive no updates, and then have to chase for information yourself after several days. Having to wait for assistance in store, only to be told that the repair had not started and then being advised to go elsewhere when you explained the urgency, is not the level of service we aim to provide.
We take feedback like this seriously and would like the opportunity to investigate this further for you therefore we have emailed you via the email address used on the order to request some further information.
In regards to the membership card, please note the delivery can take up to 15 working days excluding bank holidays. The membership can be used without the physical membership card, you need to log in on the website using the email address linked to the membership, the members price will then automatically apply at the check out. If you are wanting to use the membership instore, this can also be completed without the physical card, if you provide the email address that is linked to the membership to the member of staff at the till they can then apply this to the transaction.
The store can also issue a replacement card for you if your original one is still outstanding.

In store experience (Lincoln branch - outer circle) was dreadful. The female person on check out seemed totally disinterested in serving us. More interested in her colleagues (all gathered together chatting) rather than helping us. “Your membership has expired” and “don’t you have your card, I can’t do anything without you card” just made us leave the store and order on line. Whoever thought it was a good idea to ask her to be on the tills clearly made a mistake. With customer service at that level i can see why so many “high street” retail stores are closing.
