Impossible to order online and get the members price, it took 2 visits to the York store and 3 phone calls to remedy this before I could even place my order.

The assistant Jue was so lovely. she couldn’t help us enough and was very knowledgeable about everything we asked her too. She did go above and beyond! Thank you 🤩

Visited to buy clothing for my sons D of E Bronze award. Sue was very helpful showing us the kind of clothing he needs, and didn’t try to sell us anything too expensive as she understood what he needed it for and how often it would be used. Thank you Sue - very helpful and very friendly.

Went in store today for some fishing Gear, A gentleman called Robin helped me find exactly what I needed, bagged everything up for me, talked me through the Go Outdoors card, absolutely brilliant service! I could not have asked for a more helpful bloke.

He is an absolute asset to your company!

Store is great, staff are great.
Reserved and order to be collected at this store (address was for vanguard in the confirmation email). Arrived at this store to collect my order, but was told it's actually ready at the Express store in York city centre (not the address in the email), which isn't convenient for me to collect from. Thankfully the items were available in the Vanguard store and I was able to purchase them on the day, and advised by the staff to get in touch and the reservation can be cancelled/refunded. Raised a ticket via their website on the same evening and I've yet to hear back. Very disappointing.

The online order was cancelled with no explanation. Very disappointing to have to have payment taken for an order that you were unable or unwilling to fulfil- this was a birthday gift and your cancellation has caused significant upset.

Also 5 star for the staff who are super friendly and give great service . Erin at the till point today was very patient and helpful trying to find our account .
You won’t be disappointed and another great bonus is that they allow dogs in the store and cafe . Massive shout out for the fact that we can bring our furry family member in too .

I come in often to visit the equestrian section, Mollie is always super friendly and goes out of her way to give me help.

I bought some camping things from the York store and was helped greatly by the staff member upstairs regarding what I need and don’t need. I was also helped with my members discount as I had only purchased it on the day they made sure this didn’t impact on my savings. However, I then wanted to use Klarna so spread the payments of my order but was unable to do this. Due to this I had to use a Klarna card that I have which means I have to pay interest now. Other than this it was a successful trip. No idea why I couldn’t use Klarna.

Good range of products across many activities allowing physical comparison shopping that you can’t do online. Prices feel high even with the discount card. Lighting is awful -too bright, flashing in some places and distorting the colours of products. The lady who served us at the checkout was lovely, but we had to wait a long time -only one till staffed, but the store felt full of shop floor staff, idly doing not a lot and chatting when there are customers waiting to pay. Overall, it should be a more enjoyable experience than it is.

Absolutely fantastic experience, Carys was extremely helpful and gave us genuinely really helpful advice while looking at tents, wasn’t pushy for a sale at all, just friendly and helpful. Thank you so much and we’ll be back soon to get our new family tent!

I was a little lost in choosing a tent as i didn’t know what I really needed , a gentleman came over and helped me choose the perfect tent that I needed for my family camping trip. He also helped me get some other bits for my trip . Trevor’s knowledge was great and his advice was so helpful he is a credit to your company
