A disappointing experience of one bay window
I was disappointed with my Grabex window installation. My first issue was that the original installation date was changed and rescheduled due to a glass delay, although in fairness, I was given sufficient notice of the date change, but it was frustrating nonetheless and not a great start.
Secondly, prior to installation, at initial quote stage and during the survey, I asked whether three plantation blinds fitted over the original windows could be re-fitted after the window installation. I was told it was a conversation to have with the fitters. On the day of installation, I was advised I should have removed the blinds myself, that they would not be re-fitted and the cost of removing them would be £250, in cash.
Grabex say they told me I needed to remove the blinds prior to installation. This isn’t true. Grabex told me to clear the room as much as possible, including pictures on the walls; which I did. They told me to cover everything with dust sheets, which I did. They did not tell me to remove the blinds, so I didn’t. If the blinds needed to be removed, I would have removed them, rather than leaving them screwed to the window frames, delaying the work and having to pay an additional charge that I had not budgeted for.
Grabex asked me if I wanted to completely cancel the installation and pay a reduced cancellation fee because the original installation had been rescheduled. To compromise, I proposed Grabex reimburse £150 of the £250 I paid in cash, which they agreed to. I had already planned to tip the fitters £100, so it sort-of worked out, but it unfortunately took Grabex almost 2.5 weeks to transfer the agreed £150 into my bank account.
Thirdly, the wooden fittings/ surrounds around the windows were either measured incorrectly or not cut to the correct size. Either way, the work was not completed in one day as agreed and a second fitting had to be organised, with the closest appointment being one week after the installation. These things happen, but when they happen, you expect residual work to be finished within a short period of time, not one week later.
Fourthly, on the day of the second fitting, 30 minutes before the work was due to start, I was told the fitting would probably be cancelled because of ill health. Two hours later, I phoned Grabex; and was advised the work would not be carried out and was offered an alternative appointment 5 days later. Due to work commitments, I had to turn the date down and wait until the following Friday, 2 weeks after the original fitting.
We all get ill, it’s one of those things, but to have no other fitters available was annoying and there seemed to be no sense of urgency, particularly given that I had already been left with an incomplete installation for one week. Grabex later said it was a personal reason for the late cancellation, and if that is the case, then I am of course sympathetic to the fitter and I hope they are okay, but Grabex, the employer, should have a plan in place to manage employee absence, rather than disclosing personal reasons as an excuse, which is guilt-tripping.
Grabex answer phone calls promptly, and emails are replied to within an hour or so, but my overall experience wasn’t great, and I regret choosing Grabex. It’s a shame writing this review, but it’s an honest account of my experience. They dropped the ball on this occasion, and I hope they learn from my experience.
Grabex Maintenance service
I am exteremely happy with Grabex’s maintenance service. The requested visit was arranged promptly upon my request to inspect the Grabex large patio doors which became difficult to slide. Mario lubricared the wheels and rubber and explained the maintenance process. The doors are now moving effortlessly. Many thanks! Renata
Disappointing. Not reccomended.
The front door was installed with gaps, and the glass layout is incorrect. Despite multiple service attempts and a supplier visit, the issues remain unresolved. After 7 months, communication has stalled, and a site visit has not occurred.

Traditional style timber windows with contemporary features
Starting with the on-site survey with Lukasz who was extremely knowledgeable and happy to discuss various options, through to the installation team with Patryk, Greg, John and Michael, our experience with Grabex has been excellent. Together with the on-site Manager Mario who was available during the installation, we were able to find the ideal solution for the small details that make our timber windows really stand out. Mario’s customer care and in depth knowledge was extremely helpful. We had wanted to try to replicate the style of our original timber Windows but with the benefit of being double glazed which we have achieved.
The entire fitting team were punctual, polite and tidy and nothing was too much trouble to be addressed. They worked hard throughout each day to ensure our windows were installed to perfection.
Credit should also go to Matt in customer services who was on hand to liaise with fitting dates (and even offering to bring the fitting forward by a week) and also to help oversee the encapsulation of a stained glass window with Hugh Wootton from The Specialist Glass company who was also excellent. Alicja in accounts was always a pleasure to speak to as well! Overall a great result.

I'd badly installed large bay windows( by some cowboys who had damaged the walls) in my Edwardian house. Kristian from Grabax Windows had the experience to deal with damaged Windows. He and all his team members were
knowledgeable, efficient, polite and honest professionals. New Windows were measured, manufactured and installed in less than 4weeks.windows look amazing n has transformed both the rooms. All the members of the installation team ,liaised with my builders where the window walls were badly damaged so as to restore it to is original look. Greg,the main installer, was very kno, he paid attention to my concerns about badly damaged walls by the previous cowboys company (went bankrupt ).
I've no hesitation in recommending this company. After sales communication was excellent.

Fantastic service end to end from Grabex, installing our French doors and UPVC windows. From the start - visiting their showroom with Arkadiusz which he opened for me on a Saturday and turned a competitive quote around that weekend — to the insight on best options during the survey from Lukasz, to the professional and quick installation from Patryk and Johny, and the onsite VIP service from Mario, it was incredibly smooth and professional. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL DONT BUY!!!
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! We had a window in mind and they insisted we go with their recommendation. We have a sky light window and there was a crack in it the minute it was fitted it and before we even moved in to our renovated home the crack had gotten bigger and has continued to grow. They haven’t even come to look once and Martin keeps beating around the bush. They refused to help or compensate and we have spent ALOT of money with them. I’m talking tens of thousands and they haven’t bothered at all to correct this mistake of theirs. Such a shame because it put huge stress on what was meant to be a new beautiful beginning. Do not recommend at all. Have spoken to a few people who have had similar issues. It’s also a huge hazard as the crack is getting bigger. Hugely disappointing.
Absolute shocking services
Absolute shocking services . We have spend A LOT OF money getting a very nice open celling window. First we notice a small crack and told grabex however it's been MONTHS still no one has bothered come to look at it. The crack has now got even bigger. Grabex simply want nothing to do with it. Like I said considering how much we have spend. Ridiculous
TO DATE 02/04/2025. TO THIS DAY THEY HAVE STILL NOT COME TO HAVE A LOOK!!!! IT HAS NOW CRACKED IN THREE PLACES AND THE COMPANY HAVE ADMITTED THAT THERE IS A DANGER TO ME AND MY FAMILY. This is really out off control now I can't Believe they are willing to put my family at risk.

Fantastic aftercare service! After reporting a fault with one of the sliding door handles on Wednesday - 5 years after the original installation - we were delighted that Mario arrived as promised and fixed the problem today! He then spent extra time showing us how to help maintain our huge aluminium sliding doors using specialist products we hadn't even heard of. Couldn't be happier!
Matt was fantastic
Customer support were absolutely fantastic (Matt particularly). He brought our delivery date forward and was always on hand to answer questions or offer advice. Some other members of staff we found harder to work with but Matt got the job done excellently.

Our Grabex 4 windows replacement went perfectly
Our Grabex 4 windows replacement went perfectly yesterday. Amir & Mirek were very friendly and professional. They got straight down to replacing the windows once they arrived. They were extremely hard working and kept at it till they left. There was hardly much noise and no disruption. The windows look great - which is most important thing. They cleared up really well - no mess left. Amir walked us through the new windows and using the keys etc for opening and closing. Mario their manager popped in and gave us some good tips for maintaining/cleaning the windows which we will follow (will also look at the maintenance guide Matt has just sent a link for. I would say we had a 10/10 experience yesterday !

I had my windows replaced by Grabex and they were excellent. The fitters Greg and Michael worked quickly, cleaned up afetr them seves, where informative and very helpful. Matt Paxton who embedded the words of his job title "Logistics & Customer Support Manager" especially customer support. He was very helpful, listen and adviced which was the support I needed. Brilliant company and great Value for money.

I want to thank the whole team at Grabex who have been wonderful. I ordered UPVC sash windows and also a aluminium bifold window and also a aluminium door. The products are of very high quality. And the installation happened much sooner than inspected. Patrick was very polite and hard working and Mario the quality manager inspected the installation and made some minor adjustments. The customer service has also been brilliant and Matt kept me updated through the process from placing my order to installation. I am so pleased with my new windows and doors and would be delighted to recommend Grabex. I will definitely use them again in the future if I have any need to.
