Terrible service

Terrible service. Promised me a generator delivery yesterday (Sep 8, 2017). I called the local Granger store and gave them my confirmation #. The person I talked to said it was on the truck for delivery on Sep 8, and that they would call me right away to pick it up. NEVER CALLED, now hurricane Irma is about to hit here in Florida. I will NEVER do business with Grainger again.

I purchased a Dewalt drill (item# …

I purchased a Dewalt drill (item# 52HM43), Manufacturer model number(DCD77762) since it looked like a good read for $99.00 plus tax. The total come out to about $106 dollars.
I just happened to find the exact same package from another website for $79.00 plus free shipping and no tax. I asked WW Grainger to price match from their competitor as I was planning on purchasing an additional drill. The person that I was speaking to did nothing to try and keep my business or my loyalty as a customer. So I am going to return the original I bought and buy my two drills from their competitor.
This is a perfect example of how businesses are losing their customers because they are not willing to work with their customers when they find better pricing. I wont shop with Grainger again unless I am desperate, which is not likely. Don't waste your time with customer service, as they have no concept of what customer service means. Thanks

Horrible at shipping their products. Overpriced. Sent Wrong Products

They're not very good at shipping their products. At least ship your products so they wont be damaged in the process of being delivered. horrible company. Overpriced. I do not see how they stay in business. If your thinking about buying anything from this company save your money and dont bother. They never deliver the correct products. Their orders are always the wrong and are always short. Missing items. Wrong products sent all the time.

The run-around

After going to the store and purchasing a motor, I had to take it back, it was the wrong size. They accepted the motor back ok.
The Sales agent at the store then looked up an appropriate size motor. It was offered in clockwise and counterclockwise. They did not stock the motor, so he gave me his card.
Once I determine the rotation, I called the number on the card he gave me. I did not get the store. I got the headquarters. They could not connect me to the store. The headquarters could not help me with the order of the motor either.
I doubt if I will waste time with Grainger in the future.

Horrendous Service

I'll keep this brief, but called to fix an order Grainger screwed up, placed on very long holds (10+ minutes) and was hung up on twice. The third time I called, I was forthcoming with the rep and let her know I'm frustrated and have been on hold them hung up on two different times, I asked for the department number I've been trying to reach and then she asked me why I was so rude and yelling at her (which I wasn't yelling, just exasperated tone). On hold again for 10 minutes only to be told the request I was trying to make can only be done online and can't be done on the phone. What a joke.

I have never had any issue with Amazon, and would recommend all businesses use Amazon as not only are they substatially less expensive, their wait times exponentially less and staff much more professional.

Our company started going through grainger for supplies-constantly we run out of several different items and have t get ppl from work get supplies from other vendors-then our Co turned to the grainger boot program for our work boots- what a joke that fiasco is-not only did this "boot truck"they kept telling us would come never show we eventually had to order our boots online-I figured I got lucky when I was able to find and order the EXACT same brand and size of boot I was wearing "mind you those boots were bought at a reputable workwear outlet"(and we're about the only boots that were just as comfortable from the day I bought them till 1 year later)was totally disgusted with the boots grainger tried to pass off-even though they were the same brand and same size as I was wearing graingers ordered boots WERE NOTHING LIKE WHAT I WAS WEARING-BOTH BOOTS WERE10.5 IN SIZE AND SIZED WIDE FOR MY FEET YET THESE WERE 1/2" SHORTER AND 1/2" LESS IN WIDTH-HOW THE HECK IS THAT?MIND YOU-EXACT SAME BRAND AND SIZE!!!TOLD MY SUPERVISOR THEY COULD SEND GRANGER BACK THOSE CRUMMY BOOTS!!! Product I received was not the same as in the picture. After leaving a reasonable but harsh review it was taking down for "inappropriate content". What was inappropriate about it you might ask? The word "False advertising" apparently. Will never shop here again.

Over Billing

Recently made a purchase and ended up with my card charged twice and they would do nothing to correct it so I had to wait for 5 days for it to clear off my bank account so I could access that money. When I called them the guy on the phone was rude and tried to make it out that it was like my fault that it happened.

Boot truck

My company recently switched from a brick and mortar store for our boots to a grainger boot truck.they had us order boots and said they would have them plus thousands of others to choose from. What a joke not only did they not have any of the boots we ordered, and I mean any of them ,also the selection was horrible we have to have steel toe plus water proof boots they brought us a few work boots to choose from and hundreds of walking shoes, plus the guys working the truck were rude and lied to us about boots being discontinued. I feal like grainger took advantage of our situation knowing we had to buy boots from them.

The worst company ever worked with

Completely ruined workday of my crew just because "system is not perfect" as they said. Ordered 4 annular cutters online and I decided to call them to make sure they are going to be delivered at the location in the morning cause I now how bad they are.. Agent confirmed that everything is going to be there, I shouldnt worry! haha First I had trouble placing order for no obvious reason and then when I actually managed to do it I got some mysterious "confirmation number" that nstarts with #WEB and appeared to be NOTHING, very smart ... Next morning when I sent my guys out to the site, they had to swing by the shop on the way there to pick em up..haha nobody was aware of our order. WEB confirmation? Never heard of it! Our company name? - its not in the system even though I've made an account few month ago when made the first purchase, Even though I have account online - doesnt mean I have an account with them. What!? Well Its all about confusing people. Ended up spending 1 grant for sending my guys out, thanks to this "company" my guys did nothing that day, I let my customer down, lost this job. Great job, keep it the same way guys so hopefully at some point we will never see your company on the market ever again.

Genuine and very helpful

A/C compressor went out on a Fri eve, a result of a bad capacitor. HVAC guy who came out Sat eve suggested I contact Grainger to get & install the part myself. Called them 7:30 Mon a.m. The gentleman who helped me found the capacitor I needed and indicated he would have it shuttled over to the Ft Worth store. Had the part by 1:30, installed by 2pm. Saved an A/C repair newb like me $300 doing it myself. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone, as well as the one I picked up the part from were extremely genuine and pleasant to deal with. After a miserable weekend they got my week off to a great start!

Terrible Customer Service

Our company ordered a very large order from Grainger. After two weeks (which was fine to wait) we receive the products and they are broken AND the wrong color. Even though I am frustrated, I am still very understanding about the issue. I call and speak to a lady with the name of Carolyn. She immediately comes off as rude. She says that I will have to send back the product and then in the mean time be charged AGAIN for the new products. She said that later on we could be refunded the amount. She then questioned why the product wasn't checked and opened up in front of the UPS delivery driver. Extremely disappointed. Our company now has to wait another month to have bathroom stall doors installed. I would NEVER use this company again. Very low knowledge on products. No helpful color selection online. All of the color swatches look the same. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE. Thank you, Carolyn, for redirecting my business somewhere else.
