Very competent installers. The panels were up in one day, the inverter and battery were installed a few days later - again they only took one day. Panels are up and running and providing enough power for us and feeding back to the grid.

A very pleasant and professional team installed my solar panels. They took the time and trouble to discuss options and then route the cables in the least obtrusive location. They left no mess or waste and explained everything fully.

The office kept me up-to-date with progress at all stages. The installations team worked really hard to connect up my eleven solar panels and four batteries in two days. The job included running over 55 metres of thick cable from the outbuilding, through ducting that was buried in a trench, round the gable end and front wall of the house, in through a stone wall over half a metre thick and up to my electricity meter. All the cabling and wiring they did is neat and tidy, they left no mess and were a pleasure to have around the place. My solar panels are really efficient and look as if they will make a big difference to electricity costs in my all-electric house. If you're thinking of installing any green energy technology in your house, talk to Green Building Renewables first.

There is always a customer focus with this company. Even with a service, the engineer has time to explain things to you. We are pleased with everything they have done for us, from the original installation to the after care.

We cannot praise highly enough the whole process from start to finish; from the initial survey and quoting, email support and above all the engineers who came to do the installation - we realise this was not an easy job in an old house. They were professional, knowledgeable, tidy, and kept us informed. They evidently took pride in a job well done. We are very pleased with the installation. Thank you.

On the one year service of the ASHP it was easy to book in a service at a convenient time. Ryan the service engineer on the day was very polite and helpful.

Had solar panels installed, which went smoothly. After the install, I needed to get a certificate and Allison very kindly helped me, even though the paperwork wasn't held by her company. She went above and beyond what she needed to do and was very quick to respond to all my queries.

My ASHP installation has just completed. I researched and discussed the installation with many companies prior to choosing Green Building Renewables and now know I really did make the right choice. From the first meeting to all the installation guys, I was presented with nothing but competence and professionalism. 10/10 for these guys. Would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

The communication was very good.
The installers were cheery, talkative, very efficient and thorough. Although they didn't have to come into my house I felt they were professional enough to be trusted if they had to.

We had a few quotes for solar panels before we settled on Green Building Renewables. I was impressed with how thorough and professional the company were from the initial estimate, the site visit for formal quote and installation. By far the best company we had quote. Also, the most competitive price.

The installation was quick and everything was left very tidy once completed. The guys made sure we understood how to use the app to view and manage our solar system.

Before we started working with Green Building Renewables, we found it very difficult to find accurate information on solar panel and battery installations. We were very pleased with how helpful the company were in explaining what was required and how the system would work in our property.

We have recently moved to Yorkshire and whilst renting looking for a permanent place to move to, we investigated who could install our new Solar PV/Battery solution for us.

As soon as we completed on our new house we contacted GBR and asked for a survey for the first week we moved in. This was arranged and all seemed well. However, our own experience with this company was disappointing and, ultimately, very frustrating:

- The first survey visit was cancelled due to sickness. No problem.
- The re-scheduled second survey visit was scheduled and the surveyor turned up 30mins late. Not a big issue, but it would have been nice to have been told in advance.
- One of the first things the surveyor said to me was, 'I don't do lots of detail, best ask the girls in the office.' Not brilliant, but fine, get the basics and I'll follow up with them
- The 'girls in the office' were lovely, but couldn't answer all of my questions and some of the answers given weren't great
- When I asked whether we could add more panels on the roof because I think it might be possible to add another 2, they couldn't answer. When they checked with the surveyor the solution was to bring another two on the day and see if they fit. That might have been a solution if it hadn't of impacted what size inverter was required
- I was really pushed away from a G99 application because of 'the time and cost', despite this is something I said would probably be crucial because of the size of the array & to avoid clipping the system
- When quering the G99 application process and fees, I asked how long roughly it would take and was given information for the wrong DNO. When I queried this, I was again told the wrong DNO. I had to screenshot and send the results for the postcode for the company to believe me!
- When I asked questions about optimisers and bird guards, I wanted advice. But because the person dealing with the quote had no idea about the property, it felt like an empty answer, particularly being told that I would definitely need to have a G99 application if I had optimisers.

It was really important to us to get the right solution for the house as this was a critical investment for us to get right, first time, particularly as it's a lot of money. I asked lots of questions and asked for a couple of different quotes on products so I could get a feel for what that looked like, e.g. Fox vs. Tesla.

There was no one I spoke to at the company that gave me sufficient confidence that they knew I was buying the right products for the property and us. It was really frustrating as I tried a couple of times to get the answers I needed, but couldn't. Conversely, the company I have now contracted with called me after my first reply to the initial quote, were an expert in Solar PV systems to a technical level far beyond what I needed, and spent 90mins on the phone taking me through it all; I couldn't have asked for more.

I'm sure this company does a great job installing systems all over however if you want specific advice and/or a system it seems you'd be better to shop elsewhere.

The surveyor, Harriet, was very meticulous in assessing the correct size of heatpumps for our house.
The installation engineers were very polite, experienced and knowledgeable and carried out a very professional installation. However, the job was probably larger than anticipated, so took longer to complete, with a delay in between visits. That said, we are very pleased with the end result.

The one day planned install took over a month to complete and still awaiting paperwork.
GBR arrived with different solar panels than ordered, apologised and replaced them with right ones, they then installed the wrong Enphase micro inverters, apologised then replaced them with right ones. The Tesla Powerwall was initially installed with the house load still connected to grid, after complaining/feedback they immediately sorted. I’ve received shutdown procedure documentation and diagram for a different (string inverter) system, 6 weeks after paying bill still awaiting electrical test results and commissioning docs, Tesla and solar panel warranty information and the right electrical schematic and shutdown documentation. Really helpfully pleasant company during quote and install but was surprised by the series of errors and lack of final documentation.

Great service, from original planning stage right through to commissioning the system, everything was to plan and without any issues.
