Really helpful

Really helpful, they were able to find me a car within my budget that suits my needs perfectly. Lewis was able to answer all my questions and made the whole process of buying a car from the very easy.

AVOID!!

AVOID!! Just like these cowboys will do to you when you contact them with issues they obviously already know about when selling you a dodgy car!! Broken promises followed by zero communication, complaints a waste of time as is the small print on their pointless contract they get you to sign. The consumer rights act doesn’t seem to apply to GTJ, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere!

Hello Grace

Having tracked down your original order I can see you purchased a 2008 Volkswagen Golf done 188,000 miles for £1,500 from us.
Obviously given the age and mileage of the car we have to be realistic and understand there may be minor things need doing to the car when owning it. After handing the Golf over to you and you experienced some minor issues which we ordered parts for which were a bonnet latch and a wiper arm.

We immediately ordered the parts and have contacted you to have them fitted as has our mechanic which we have been doing for the past month. I must add any other garage selling a car of this age and mileage would simply tell you this is down yourself to resolve but not us we have tried to help.
The term cowboys is one easily used and thrown about with car dealers as an out of date insult and completely unjust. As all consumers once purchasing a vehicle from a dealer you are automatically under the consumer rights 2015 common sense would tell you we wouldn't risk our reputation selling an unroadworthy car for £1500 is makes absolutely no sense. Everything is relative and I think if you purchase a car of this age and mileage is it not reasonable to assume there could be issues that may arise as with anything the more money spend the less of a risk taken. A car dealer can only do so much and making sure the car functions and is fit for purpose is where would focus on a car in the price range.
Please get in contact with me at the office and we would ne more than happy to help as we have tried to contact you to help with no success

I picked up my Audi A1 yesterday and my experience from start to finish has been amazing, any questions I had have been answered straight away, (it’s my first car so I didn’t really know how the process worked) the team were very polite. Speaking with Lewis and Glen yesterday made it very easy to fall in love with the car in person. Lewis and Glen were great, so polite and worked to resolve any issues as fast as they could. A little clip on the car was broken, they ordered a new part straight away to fix the issue with out any hassle. The car drives beautifully and I honestly couldn’t be happier with it. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because a gentleman we spoke to earlier on in the week, failed to tell Lewis and Glen that I was coming on Thursday(I had a confirmation email from him that all would be ready Thursday) so unfortunately the car wasn’t cleaned.(it’s not the end of the world) I’m sure if I would have asked Lewis and Glen for them to valet the car they would have done, but that would mean having to travel up to the garage on another day(I’m not local) so it wasn’t convenient. I wanted to take the car away on the same day so I accepted that I would need to pay for it myself, however It could have been avoided if one piece of information had been passed on! The gentlemen we spoke to earlier on in the week however was very helpful & definitely contributed to making this a very nice experience. I cannot fault Lewis and Glen, and most importantly, I cannot fault the car! Thank you so much again & I hope to have more dealings with you in the future!

PLEASE PLEASE AVOID!!!!!! Just read the reviews

PLEASE PLEASE avoid these low life’s, the reviews that are good on there page are done by mostly partners, friends and family, Please please report to trading standards if you have had problems I know they have been reported a few times already. They simply should not be trading at all!, the mot place they use needs looking into too. They are definitely missing things on mot’s and not doing work and just passing the cars when they are not fit to be passed. If you have brought a car and not had any problems you are very very lucky. This garage is so dodgy 🤬

Avoid at all cost, unless you have money to throw away!

Absolutely horrific experience with this company from start to finish, once they have your money they don't care about you or the car.
The car cost 5k and needed new track rod ends doing within the first 2 weeks, new injectors and i then found out at MOT that it had a badly corroded subframe and that it definitely would have been an advisory on the previous MOT unless somehow this was miraculously missed or the MOT wasnt infact the real deal! I also had confirmation that before I had the car it was in such bad condition it had to be shovelled out and valeted twice before it was fit for driving, so basically came from an auction for a couple of hundred quid in the worst condition ever!
I waited much longer than promised for the car to be ready even though they knew I was stuck with no other transport and couldn't get to work. They then told me they never had time to get it cleaned and that they would pay for a valet if I booked the car in which is what I did (another day off work waiting over 6 hours for this with a 30 minute travel to and from the place they use to valet vehicles). After cleaning, the valet people said GTJ were not paying for the service and that I had to cover the cost myself. After many calls to the company (stood at the valet place) they did finally pay for the valet but overall this was a completely stressful situation and I would urge anybody to approach with caution or better still, walk the other way!

Unfortunately less than 2 years after purchase this car is not fit for the road unless a lot more money is invested, at least another 3k.

Do not buy from here!

Bought a car February 2023. Only discovered this week that they never sent off for change of ownership, so I’ve been driving around for a year in a car that technically doesn’t belong to me - could have been awful if I’d needed to claim any ring on my insurance. I’ve also had to have various (expensive) work done on the vehicle, most of which I’ve been told by my garage should have been done prior to sale. Not convinced the ‘clean’ MOT they provided was entirely truthful either as I’ve had the same advisories given this time round that were on two MOTs ago. Was not impressed with post-sales customer service, and would definitely NOT recommend anyone buys from here.

Thumbs up from us, would use again

We purchased our car (Kia Sportage 2014) in October. The car was in tidy condition well worth the 1hr drive to see. The staff were all friendly and were helpful from arranging viewing the car to collecting the car. Would recommend and use again. Thank you

I bought a car from them in november/23, use it twice and broke down, they send it to their garage and it's still there (1 month and 3 weeks). Chase them every day and they keep dragging it, promise always to call back but that never happens im now going to ask my money back and they can keep the car and their "wonderful: costumer services.

Appalling service

Appalling service. I enquired about a car they were advertising. After further inspection it became apparent that the car in question belongs to a friend of mine. She’s had some issues with the car, requested a refund within the given 30 days by law. She’s had nothing but problems and now they are advertising the car as for sale without her consent
