I don't normally leave reviews but the behaviour we witnessed yesterday from what appears to be the owner of the Bendigo store was absolutely disgusting! He barged into the store getting up close to his staff members yelling and swearing at them calling them stupid and demanding them to come into work when deathly sick. To take medication and wear a mask he yelled. This abusive behaviour towards your own staff members is appalling. It's a wonder anyone continues to work there. Every few months or so there is always new staff and this explains alot if the girls are continually abused by the owner. The store struggles to get products on the shelves for a number of brands for months at a time. Management of this store is terrible!!!

It is unfortunately so hit and miss at Hairhouse. The Terrigal store seemed so unwelcoming and the advice I received, upon checking Google and then another Hairhouse store, was completely wrong!
Then, I had absolutely fabulous service from Philippa at Chatswood store. The outcome of her advice to correct horrible salon completed highlights, also wasn't exactly what I needed.
Finally, Lisa at Erina gave me some simple guidance on how to correct my colour at home, and the colour she recommended is perfect.

Had an absolutely terrible experience after supporting this store at Cairns Central Shopping Centre for the entire time it's been here. The staff member was probably the worst customer service representative that I've come across ever. She argued with me and tried to give me a colour that I know I would never use or that even came close to the colour I was after, that I had purchased from this same store and recommended by a helpful worker a few months earlier. I did not ask for her advice or assistance however her tone was short snappy and extremely impatient. The incident drew the attention of other customers who later addressed me as they were also shocked. I ended up going back to the shop to ask her name and the girl at the counter told me that her name was Dee and that "she is the owner" I was honestly horrified and was hesitant to try another venue of this franchise as I really didn't want to support this outlet if this was what the owner reflects in the business where other people share the same name of the store. I was then given excellent. Service at the Smithfield branch and spent nearly $300 there. The woman who served me was so helpful, knowledgable and what should be a given in any establishment. The experience has really left a bad taste in my mouth at the store in Cairns central and they have lost my business for life I'd that is the owner then this attitude from her sets the tone for the whole shop. I'm not sure how one even would own a shop with such an attitude. The customers who were in the shop also heard smug remarks after I left from the workers about me refusing to spend my money and support them so I think it's a terrible tone to set especially before Christmas.

I bought a hair product here and most of it leaked because the cap wasn’t secure. The bottle itself wasn’t cracked, but the lid came off far too easily. When I brought it back, the staff opened it and the lid actually came off in their hands as well.
What upset me was that after only a quick look, I was told: “it’s not the store’s fault, not the product’s fault, and not your fault neither.” While I appreciate the politeness, this left me with no solution.
I ended up leaving with the same faulty product, knowing it will continue to leak. Next day I attempted use what’s left in the bottle but the bump wouldn’t even work ):
As a customer, I expected at least an exchange or some form of support, especially since the packaging clearly failed. I hope the store can review the product quality with the supplier so others don’t have the same experience.

It was more her attitude towards customers in generally that I did not appreciate. I mentioned eBay and she said I never deal with that platform only our supplies WTF. Had the worse hair colour experience with Bianca, my son was getting married so I needed it to look amazing but alas it was the extreme opposite, she’ll excuse her bad work by saying you agreed at the consult, yes I agreed to a better look not a colour that looks like a 10 year old. Complaining won’t help either as they take the side of the worker and not the customer, so I lost nearly $400 on the worse colour I’ve ever had and then had to pay more to get it done and corrected elsewhere as they wanted to charge me to fix it and to be honest I lost trust In Hairhouse Warehouse

Yes they are dirt cheap but totally not worth the trauma they cause.

Try to find another more professional salon that understands customer service and will perform the procedure professionally ,kindly and address any concerns you may have.
This lady ( Elyce) should not be allowed to do piercings. She is performing a procedure that involves skin penetration. She leaves you feeling vulnerable,traumatised and hurt. They should let aggressive people do this sort of job with no accountability.

Misleading Service and No Accountability at Hairhouse Rouse Hill
On 9 March 2025, my wife visited Hairhouse Rouse Hill seeking permanent hair straightening. Staff member [Name Removed] recommended Nanoplasty, explicitly promising straightening results lasting 6–8 months. After the first wash, her hair completely reverted—no straightening effect at all.
When we raised the issue, we were offered a second session with [Name Removed] and store manager [Name Removed]. However, when asked if it would deliver permanent straightening, they admitted it would only smooth the hair, directly contradicting their initial claim.
We refused the follow-up and requested a refund, which was denied. The company then falsely claimed both [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] conducted the original consultation, which is untrue as only [Name Removed] spoke to my wife.
I am posting the bill and photos of the hair after treatment here for transparency.
I share this to warn others to be on watch and cautious when dealing with this salon.

I arrived for my salon appointment at the Brighton salon fifteen minutes early and was given a snide response of 'are you always early?' I said yes as she twirled the brush and said "I'm in the middle of this. You'll have to go and get a coffee or something....". I said 'I'm prepared to wait'. She then said, 'I'm not feeling safe, I can't do your hair and I'm calling the police if you don't leave'. I of course left and will never return.
Horrible Service, Inferior Products
After being recommended a Halo hair straightener by the person In store, and how superior it was over other products, we made the purchase. Spending over $200 on this product. 2 months out of warrently the straightener sparks while in use, shorts out the house and is no longer usable. The customer service team have been horrible, saying bad luck, it is out of warranty we are not going to help you, and to not contact them in regards to the product. We have taken this matter further after advice from the ACCC.
Change your delivery partner
Hairhouse needs to change their delivery partner. Couriers Please are awful to deal with and communicate with. I have dealt with them with other companies and always issues. Due to experiences with these other companies as they continue to use Couriers Please I no longer do business with them. If Hairhouse mentioned on the app and website there delivery partner was couriers please I would not of placed my order. I never have issues with Mecca or Adore beauty as they use Star track and AusPost. I hope the management team serious look into changing their delivery partner. This was my first and last purchase from Hairhouse.
Halo hair straightener faulty and dangerous …
Halo hair straightener purchased August 2024 from hair house warehouse, June 2025 product was in use, placed item down on the counter and the outer casing shattered exposing the ceramic plate and electrics. Contacted store and was advised to contact head office. This brand is exclusive to the company who sells it and they have refused to refund or exchange despite the 2yr warranty they advertise. Read previous reviews this seems to be a common situation.
Product is substandard and quite frankly dangerous, not by any means made to last and does not compare to similar items on the market despite the recommendation you receive at time of purchase from staff.
I have lodged an official complaint with consumer affairs and also made a product safety complaint.
Do not waste your money.

My son bought me a $300 GHD curling iron for my Mother's Day/ Birthday present. The lady who served us at Garden City Qld was very nice and made my trip worthwhile. As I am an elderly woman and hadn't used one before she recommended a free service to demonstrate the product next time I was in Brisbane. I booked the service May 26th 10.30am and arrived 30 minutes prior. The fellow who was attending said his manager was in a meeting and to come back in 30 minutes which I did. By that time my son arrived and was told manager still in meeting though it was 15 minutes later that she emerged. No apology from him or manager who was at the counter when looking for my name in system. They were both rude, especially the fellow who wanted to argue with my son over how many minutes we had to wait. I will not be returning to that business while such rude people are in a service industry while they don't have a clue regarding service

I took my daughter to Hairhouse Cairns Central for a haircut and colour, showing them a reference picture of the highlighted stripes she wanted. The stylist assured us they could achieve this look, but after three hours and $250, she ended up with an all-over colour instead of highlights, and the cut was much shorter than she asked for.
When I contacted the salon, they acknowledged the issue but refused a refund, only offering to "fix" it in the salon. My daughter no longer trusts them, and given the mistake they already made, we were not comfortable letting them try again. Despite multiple requests, they refused to take responsibility or offer any compensation.
This was a disappointing and expensive experience, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for professional, reliable service. If they make a mistake, they won’t refund you—they’ll only force you to let them “fix” it, even if you no longer trust them.

They only care about what you want if they know they can sell you product. Otherwise they will hack away at your hair until it's ruined and your only options are shave it or use product. It's impossible to do the exact opposite of instructions explicitly given WITH specific lengths and areas shown during the explanation unless you are actively trying not to do anything your client wants.
What they have done was outright cruel
