Nearly there now, My experience so far.
My experience with Harper McDermott,
Well to prefix you all I've been paying into the payment plan since October 2023 and should be free and clear in August all going well.
Just can't be more grateful for the service they have provided me.
Unfortunately things went south financially fairly quickly through ill health at the end of 2022, 1 surgery and a few months recovery later I found myself in damn near £9000 in debt to various lenders/credit cards etc with limited means to repay the debt I'd accrued.
I found myself down a hole, I was paying more out each week than what was coming in to try and make ends meet and still missing payments. I genuinely regretted surviving my illness at one point heading into depression and knew I needed help.
Looking back I was so ashamed to ask for help and just kept puting myself down, I'm a grown man with a family to keep FFS.
I found a way to swallow that pride to ask for help and quickly learned there was no need for the shame I felt or the pride I had to be "swallowed", From the start Harper McDermott have been brilliant.
We talked through my finances, no judgements made, they really just wanting to help you, I sent a few bills and the like through to them confirming my debt and my income vs outgoings and worked out a plan that worked for me. No more chasing interest that just keeps accruing, No more threat letters, No more anxiety when I hear the letterbox go, No more feeling that my family would be better off if I'd have just died.
It is just one repayment plan in place which was means tested to ensure I could afford the repayments. I can't recommend them highly enough so am recommending them to anyone reading this who needs the help I so badly needed, You can get your life back on track, just make the call and good luck to you going forward.

Extremely understanding and helpful…
Extremely understanding and helpful with my current situation and my wife last health issues which has resulted in my work becoming limited. This has been a worry as I know trust deed was set up to help with financial difficulties etc. Andy Greechan in particular has shown good understand and empathy and willing to minimise this by contacting creditors with my case. My wife and I are both appreciative of the support and help in difficult times. I would highly recommend harper McDermott to anyone seeking support and guidance.

Trust Deed - debt not wiped at the end
Used this company for a trust deed in 2018. Once my 6 years were up, things have come back onto my credit file that should have been wiped. I have a bank account overdraft with over £2000 debt which should be gone but has appeared and put my credit score right back down and I have no chance of getting credit or a mortgage now. Contacted them and they directed me here there and everywhere and nobody has solved this problem. I would never recommend this company

This organisation should not have taken so long to update your credit file; however, this is unfortunately not the first time we have had a problem with this bank failing to update the credit file of their customers who have completed their Trust Deed.

Cant thank them enough
This has been such an easy process from start to finish. Everyone I spoke to were absolutely amazing. So kind and compassionate in the face of some people's biggest embarrassment and shame but never made me feel that way. Anytime I had an issue or a question they were so helpful and working with me when circumstances changed or when I was in hardship.
In the nicest way possible I sincerely hope I never have to use this service again but would not hesitate to recommend this service to others.

I am amending my review after a year , recently I had annual review of my income as a pastry chef I’m earning tips every month they are through the year different sometimes it might be more sometimes it might be zero as many people on here probably knows how it works , Harper McDermott decided double my payment without even asking about my expenses and other things as I recently lost my flat , they simply stated as my income increase they will double my payment which is not entirely true as I’m getting slightly more money only through out the summer season everyone know who works in hospitality that the tips are always higher through the summer , but this company simply doesn’t know it, so when at the end of August I will be back to basic wage they still want me to pay £300 and live on a very little money left after paying bills work commute etc I live alone I support my sick mother who lives abroad with cancer and dementia but sadly this company didn’t even take this as a circumstance, everything looked nice at the beginning contact phone calls everything , now they don’t even reply to emails need to mention A.McGrory to who I send number of email showing my payslips after the 3 months time of high season , so now I’ll be eating rice and water I think after I pay everything and support my family , this is truly heartless and inhumane to do something like this to someone who only tries start again. They have been very supportive at the beginning but as soon as paper work was done so called customer service was none existent, I will be challenging this decision and if necessary get legal advice what I can do as my mental health can’t tak it anymore , so truly I would like to warn people on here to be careful and be advices they will do anything they want with and there will be not much you can do, I still did not received any email even tho I said I could spare and pay £200 instead of original £150 as a good will and will to settle this but no one came back to me , now I understand why they push me so much after signing papers to put review on here and I assume they do this to everyone I’m sure I’m not the only one in this situation and I’ll be seeking legal advice about this or simply go bankrupt as I mentally can’t deal with their rudeness and lack of humane care.

Have been in a trust dead for nearly two years with this company and they are an absolute joke - still getting chased by at least 3 creditors and referred to debt agencies, and debts going on my credit file. Have contacted them months ago about it and they lie and say they never got the emails, also spoke on the phone about it and I got ignored, I stopped the payments as I’m paying for a service I’m
Not receiving , they were quick enough at contacting me then and they have now arrested my wages for their money but they are not doing what they are supposed to … still! So it’s ok for them to take my money and not do their job. Next stop is citizens advice. Life after debt? They are actually causing me more stress and hassle, don’t care as long as they get their money!

Thank you for your feedback. We have attempted to contact you on a number of occasions over telephone, email and WhatsApp to discuss the contents of your review with you, but we’ve been unable to speak with you and you have not responded to our messages.
We entirely understand why you are frustrated with the ongoing contact from some of your creditors, however, for us to be able to deal with this on your behalf, we do require information from you.
For our part, we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you and should you contact us, we will ensure that we do all that we can to have these creditors update their records and to stop their contact attempts. To be clear, we have not done anything wrong here, all of your creditors have been informed of your Trust Deed in the usual way, some of them have responded to us as normal and are not contacting you anymore, unfortunately, some of your creditors have chosen to ignore our correspondence and are continuing to contact you, this should not be happening and the fault lies with your creditors.
We can write to these creditors again, and their representative(s), to request that they stop making contact, but we need you to confirm the details of who is contacting you. We would then continue to monitor this situation until they have confirmed that their records have been updated, this is what we do with all our customers in similar situations.
Unfortunately, whilst ongoing contact from creditors is uncommon, it can happen, especially with large financial institutions who, on occasions like this, seem to be unable to manage the individual circumstances of their large volume of customers. Regardless of this, the creditors trying to contact you are acting unlawfully and upon identifying who they are, we would typically expect that they will make the necessary updates to their systems on receiving our correspondence.
It is incorrect to say that all we care about is your payment being made, so please contact our Customer Service team by responding to our recent email or WhatsApp message and we will help you to resolve these issues.
