Ist time using this company ordered a camera and two lenses and they were delivered the following day in very robust packaging. The website is very easy to navigate and the products are very comprehensive and competitively priced an overall wonderful experience. A real bargain: a camera described as in 'good' condition. On MPB it would have been described as 'excellent'. It was low actuations, no signs of wear and yet was priced £100 cheaper than similar on MPB. On Ebay I'm sure I could have found something even cheaper, but I don't like the company and what it stands for.

Have been shopping at Harrison Cameras since the mid 90's for all my camera gear, and the service has always been the same excellent personal attention, and care shown by all the staff... Nothing is ever too much trouble..

My latest purchase was a used photo bag which was near enough brand new and just what I expected from Harrison's

I purchased a used Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8 L USM lens just before Christmas 2024 after I had submitted an item to them to be considered in a part exchange. So with the quote received for it being quite satisfactory, then just a case of my making up the cash difference as I quite expected to. When the lens arrived it was as described plus it had a genuine Canon lens hood - I must have missed that in the item description, slap wrist for that lapse of memory! - plus a carry/storage case/bag, once again a genuine Canon item all in the original makers box. Overall the service from my part exchange item being picked up ‘free of charge’ by their chosen courier to the eventual outcome with the lens being delivered was faultless plus being kept updated by email the entire time. I first used Harrisons a few years back and since then have brought assorted items from them with in each case, everything has been a smooth process. However as I don’t live anywhere near to them, so I have trusted their assessments and in each case they have been right. What we might call 'good ole fashioned service like it used to be' - 'nuff said?

I ordered a second hand Pentax K-M DSLR which was dispatched and received in good condition. The only gripes I have, hence the loss of one star, was that the shutter count was advertised as being in the 4000's but when I checked it was in-fact over 7000. To be fair, this is reasonable for an older DSLR, just would have preferred the description to have been more accurate. Also the CCD element was filthy, this could have been cleaned prior to selling. Despite this, the camera works well and I am happy with my purchase. I would buy from again.

I owned a Canon 300v back in 2004. When I decided to return to analogue photography recently, I remembered what a great little film camera it was so I set out to search for one. Harrisons had about 4 used models in their store including one which was deemed in excellent condition. In for a penny in for a pound - I purchased it. Best £25 I have ever spent. The camera arrived well packaged and looks as though it has never been used. Although Harrisons test all their used gear, I loaded up a film and checked the camera out thoroughly and couldn't fault it. It certainly lives up to the "excellent condition" tag that Harrisons gave it.

I ordered 3 photo albums as quoted as being 'in stock' on Harrison Cameras web site. Having paid in full on my credit card I was then emailed to say that they were 'out of stock' with no imminent refund. I would never have placed this order if their web site had been up to date and correct. VERY DISSAPOINED AND ANOYED.

I have a made a few purchases from Harrison Cameras over the past few years. It's always been relatively inexpensive seconhand items, yet the service I have received has always been top-notch. On this occasion I purchased an old Sony a100 DSLR for just £40. It arrived in it's original box with all the original accessories, and in perfect condition. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase

I saw a Panasonic GH6 body that was heavily discounted and was prompted to enquire what sort of part exchange deal I might be offered for another camera I had to exchange. It was important for me to consider what I was going to be offered before making my decision but also to find out whether I would be offered a fair price. It was easy to fill out a form describing my equipment with all the options allowing me to give a true description. I was then advised that I would receive a response from the used camera department by the next day. Not wanting to loose time and to at least try and secure the new camera I wanted, I also spoke with the used department and based on my description of my equipment I was very quickly given a price that would work for me and which would allow me to move forward with the part exchange. Not only this, but Harrison Cameras were also able to arrange collection for me free of charge and then I would have to wait for them to confirm that they would hold their part of the offer. Of course, it takes a day or two for them to receive my part exchange and again what would happen if during this period they were to sell out of the camera I wanted to purchase from them? A quick discussion with their sales department resolved this concern and they were able to set aside a GH6 for me to allow time for the part exchange to be agreed. From the moment I contacted Harrison Cameras I must have dealt with at least 4 different persons both from the sales and the used department. Every single one of the team was so helpful and polite that they simply could not have been better. When we agreed the part exchange ( and they kept to their word) In then asked if I could pay the balance using PayPal? This was not a problem and they promptly provided me with an invoice to complete my payment. However, one word of advice here. If using PayPal you need to provide your delivery address ( verified with PayPal) which may differ from your home address. I say this as I received a refund notice from Harrison Cameras via PayPal and a request to make another payment. I was slightly cautious of this wondering if this was some sort of scam but two refunds later, I contacted the store to find out what was going on and it was properly explained to me and was clear that this was absolutely genuine and Harrison Cameras were simply following correct procedure. Additionally, I was not forced to wait ages for any refund and everything was processed almost immediately. Once the matter of payment had been resolved, I received my camera the following day “ brand new and boxed” and I was absolutely delighted. Although I have t had a chance to put the camera through its paces there is no question in my mind if I was not satisfied that Harrison Cameras would deal with any refunds/returns without any complications. I can’t imagine they would when they have been so genuine and helpful from the outset. It’s always a concern when one makes a purchase on line as many things can go wrong and irrelevant of any buyer protection there might be in place I guess no one really needs the hassle and the stress. This is the first time I have ever part exchanged anything on line and although I might have made a little more money selling on eBay I genuinely believe I was offered a fair deal and the team at Harrison Cameras simply made the whole process very easy and hassle free and I stress …
“ extremely professional and helpful ”. So, if you find yourself browsing the web to buy a camera or lens or wish to part exchange. Have a look at what Harrison Cameras have to offer. Give them a genuine description of what you have to offer and see if you can do a deal. You are always in control and it’s totally up to you if you want to proceed but at least from my experience I can wholeheartedly say that they will do their best to honour their part of the deal and they can be totally trusted. Thank you to all the team for being so helpful and reassuring. It has been without question an absolute pleasure dealing with everyone at the store as you have all been equal in your efforts to assist with my purchase and your customer service has been simply amazing.

Two stars may seem over-generous given that I didn't actually receive the item, which was lost by the courier company, but the stars are for Harrison's telephone contact service which was always easy to reach, kind and active in chasing up the courier. Fortunately I ordered a month before I absolutely need this item so, after 12 days waiting, I'm reordering somewhere else.
