Incorrect address on DHL and not accepting liability and not even an apology
I had contacted HD Keane to grant a power of attorney in a private matter. I was thrilled they had been able to schedule an appointment in very short time frame as it was urgent.
The document had been verified and issued in timely manner by Notary Public Nicholas Walsh and he offered to post it for me internationally using his DHL account as speedy delivery was guaranteed.
The document was received a week later because DHL could not find the address. I have received and email from Mr. Walsh to ring them or email them despite it was his DHL account and he posted it for me. I got voicemail same day from Mr. Walsh saying the delivery was not his responsibility and he was merely responsible to post it. Since then Mr. Walsh ignored me and someone else was in touch with me from the office. I started to put a pressure on the other solicitor so he eventually acted on this and ensured it was delivered after I find out Mr. Walsh attached wrong address on his DHL label. I have send an email to Mr. Walsh to express my disappointment with all of this as it was complete waste of time and money for me due to the delay caused by his mistake. Until this day I have got no apology, no communication at all. I am very disappointed that Mr. Walsh got rid the liability for his mistake by ignoring me.
I would recommend HD Keane will improve approach with their clients. Although I was one-off client but still paid for the service which was unsatisfactorily. When they make a mistake, they just got rid of their liability, they should own the mistake and correct it and apologise. Nicolas Walsh attached incorrect address and due to this my parcel was delayed and it caused a problems for me.
My last email to Nicholas Walsh was ignored, this is very disappointing and I am not sure what to make of this. Was I ignored because I was one-off client? Or was it because I am not Irish?
