Excellent session for Mental Health First Aiders
Katie, our Relationship Manager, recently delivered an excellent session tailored for our Mental Health First Aiders. The focus of the presentation was to provide an overview of the Employee Assistance Programme's (EAP) services. This session was conducted with a high level of professionalism, and Katie ensured that the information was communicated in a considerate and empathetic manner.
In addition to the group session, Katie has also provided one-to-one, knowledgeable support to our team. This guidance has been instrumental in helping us prepare wellbeing initiatives for the year ahead. Notably, her support extends beyond this initial session and includes another for managers, ensuring that the wider leadership team is equally prepared to support staff wellbeing.

My therapy sessions were very helpful

The support provided by the counsellor was fantastic. I really believe speaking with her has helped me get myself back on track, and very quickly too. The sessions have left me with a better understanding of myself and the things which can trigger a slump into negative emotions. Speaking to Carl/Karl (Sorry if I…
Speaking to Carl/Karl (Sorry if I spelt you name wrong), was an absolute life line to me. He had a beautiful liverpudlian accent, was calm, clear, concise in his advice and you could tell he was good at his job. He was the person I needed to speak to yesterday as I was feeling very delicate. So, thank you for being in the right place and time to help me out of a very low place. My biggest take away from his advice was to " be mindful of how I speak to myself (I normally always advocate for being mindful about the power of langauge and in my low state I'd forgotton this one simple action.) and lean into the postives of evolving into someone new, one moment at a time". Sometimes you just need a voice of reason and he was mine.

I was matched with a counsellor who provided a professional helpful compassionate service to meet my needs over Zoom. Fast, free and top quality counselling
I contacted Health Assured, my employers employee assistance programme, for some free counselling following the death of a client at work and some ill health in my family.
After a quick telephone assessment I was offered 6 free sessions starting just a week later. The call handler was really kind and helped make the assessment a fairly easy process.
My counsellor Michelle was brilliant. I was able to fully process the bereavement, cultivate more acceptance around the ill health in my family, and we were even able to do some inner child work and explore acceptance and thinking patterns around other losses in my life.
I was a bit hesitant to get in touch with the EAP programme as I wasn't sure what they could offer me but I am so glad I did.
I am feeling a lot better as a result. Thank you so much Michelle and Health Assured.

Support when you need it
The process from initial contact to a counsellor being assigned was very quick and I was able to have my sessions over WhatsApp. My counsellor was everything you would expect. She listened and helped me make sense of my problems to help me ‘recover’. I would recommend this service.
