A wide choice of physical media on display which was great to see, purchased what I what a wanted for Christmas presents at a good price. I was also there to pick up a click and collect, which went well.

Great customer service and event
I was unsure how the event ticket and vinyl bundle option worked for White Lies' recent album launch, as the tickets weren't appearing in the HMV app, so I emailed to ask.
Both Lucy and Michele were super responsive and helpful and reassured me that both items would arrive in time for the album launch, so thank you very much to both of them 😊
The event at HMV Empire in Coventry was awesome as well! The venue was a nice, intimate size and the sound was incredible!

Absolutely disgusting
Absolutely disgusting, do NOT buy anything from these people. They are vile the lot of them, they talk to customers like they are nothing. I had a preorder that I paid for in cash. The item arrived damaged 3 or 4 days late. They tried to be awkward by refusing to refund me & only refund me by debit card. I told them they are NOT having my card details & it was absolutely absurd, at this point the manager Ross from Coventry HMV store started being abusive making accusatory comments about the tone in my voice. I have autism & I don’t feel I was rude in any way. I was trying to state a fact which was misinterpreted as me being rude. The only time I was rude to HMV was when I was provoked. I’ve experienced discrimination as well with the staff making inappropriate comments about the way I was dressed which I felt isn’t relevant & completely inappropriate. I do think stores like HMV unfortunately abuse vulnerable customers because they think they can get away with it. Their customer services via phone is absolutely awful & very unhelpful. I would urge anyone, simply don’t do business with them at all, they don’t care about you as the customer. They don’t deserve any customers at all with they treated me.

Intimate album launch gig at HMV venue
This was an album launch gig for The Last Dinner Party at the HMV Empire in Coventry.
It's great that you can see a zeitgeist band such as this in a small venue at a bargain price. Sure, it was a short show (1 hour) because they only played their new album. But it felt special and intimate. More please!
