Holiday Genie have been very helpful answering a number of questions we have had about our trip, including providing quotes for a number of different options to allow us to choose the best options for our holiday. Lauren has been a great help in looking to get everything booked and arranged.
The prices were competitive and much cheaper than fights and hotel separately.

Lauren Hopkins is always such a pleasure to deal with. Lauren always finds us a great deal in Vegas and in these Covid times has been very helpful changing our bookings. Thank you again Lauren we look forward to you making a booking for us next year in Vegas.

Darren has done a great job of sorting out our holiday. We’d made some choices that weren’t the best but he resolved them.

I book every year via Lauren she is amazing and nothing is a problem. I can’t recommend her enough I send endless emails every year and she is always her lovely helpful self. Darren has been amazing sorting out Florida holiday which has now been postponed twice due to COVID.
I couldn't recommend his service anymore, I would book through this company again :)

I was introduced to holiday genie by a friend and put in touch with Lauren. I cannot fault her or the company 1 bit. Holiday has had to be changed 3 times (I think) due to covid, however Lauren’s service has been impeccable. What an asset to the company she must be!

If it wasn’t for Darren I wouldn’t still have a holiday booked!! Had to rebook various of times due to what’s going on in the world!
He had been brilliant helping the changing dates etc and the back and fourth emails.

Very attentive hopefully all is well for next year!! And we will finally get to enjoy out holiday.

Although my experience with this company happened a few years ago, it seems they are still behaving terribly (from reading the more recent reviews).

We lost a lot of money to this company as we were told verbally that we could cancel - after they hadn't booked the flights we had paid for - and then they changed their minds, with the rep phoning a day later to say his manager said he was wrong and we couldn't cancel. But the new flights they offered weren't direct, but involved changeovers with lengthy waits in between. We'd paid for direct flights.

I really would take care if you are booking with this company.

Tried to tick no stars but would not let me. So disappointed at the lies these people tell on the phone.

Booked 2 weeks in Orlando in January 2020. Paid a deposit. Our balance was due on the 29th of April (10 weeks before departure). As we were approaching the balance due date in April we received an email to say don’t worry about contacting them as they were working through bookings in departure date order and as lines were very busy do not contact. So we tried to phone them anyway however did not get a reply. Sent an email via the portal... no reply. No correspondence at all from the company so it got to 1 week before we were due to fly out. Phoned and emailed again ... no reply... FINALLY got through and was told “Oh sorry that’s a missed balance so it’s now a cancellation of the holiday” So something that was taken out of our control is our fault? Don’t think so.... they said they could transfer our holiday to a later date. Anyway they were asking for more money for a new holiday which we obviously refused giving the current climate. We left the conversation as it was to come to conclusion of what we could do. I phoned back today and they started rambling on how it was my responsibility to phone and pay the full balance to then get a refund. I explained I tried different ways to get in contact but that didn’t matter. I also explained to them incase they forgot that there was a pandemic at the time and they sent an email to us confirming not to contact them. (Was told this is generic email as they were SO BUSY) I also got told that because I missed the payment before the flight was cancelled it was my fault. However when I asked for a date of which the flight got cancelled I got told the 8th April.... my balance wasn’t due to 29th April so how does that work? How can you pay for something that had already been cancelled weeks before? I’ve literally been getting told lie after lie and we now need to accept they have stolen our money as it’s excuse after excuse. I would not recommend using this company at all. Very poor communication from them.

We have booked our holiday to Florida twice with holiday genie once in 2017 and again in 2019 never had any problems prices are so much cheaper than any other company

Had a family holiday for 10 people booked to Las Vegas for a week costing a total £9500. Received a phone call exactly 1 month before we went to say it was being cancelled spoke to a guy called Steve who was brilliant goin through all our options, in the end everyone decided on a refund but holiday genie would issue £1000 voucher which is understandable and and help them out. So we decided we are going to use the voucher and book a family holiday, the voucher expires new years eve this year and we are still waiting for it to be issued. We have been constantly contacting holiday genie daily by email and phone but the phone number no longer exists so emailing is the only option and we have not recieved a reply off them since April we are now considering contacting at at and atol to see if they are able to issue a refund instead.

Had to eventually resort to chargeback on credit card as wasn't refunded for cancelled holiday. The company even had the cheek to request that i cancel chargeback and take a screen shot of cancellation as proof as they'd received Virgin Atlantic money so could pay us. We ignored that as credit card company said they'd still keep hold of the money and we'd end up restarting chargeback process. Bunch of cowboys, AVOID!

Beth has been amazing sorting out holiday out. We booked October last year for May 2020 to travel to florida for our wedding. Due to covid this was cancelled, we pushed it back to October which wasn't a problem. As we got closer to our departure date our flights where cancelled so we whee unming and ahring where to go, we sent over a few different places to Beth and she got back to us with prices and other suggestions. 5 days to go till we where supposed to fly and we had no booking due to the hotels having restricted capacity, we finally found somewhere and got everything booked.

If you plan to book thriguh holdiay genie definitely ask to speak to Beth. Thank you!!

In my view, every one-star review about this company is correct.

In our case they didn't book flights at the time of payment - and when we tried to pay the balance (which was a nightmare to get hold of them) we were told that they would cancel our booking as no flights were available. A few days later we were called back by the salesman to be told that they were going to book connecting flights via other airports, cheaper for them but we'd booked for a direct flight from Gatwick to Orlando and these were clearly available. We ended up losing £600 to them.

Please take the advice of all the one-star reviews here and keep your money safe.
