Fraudulent Transaction No Booking A Con Site

Booked Jaz Aquaviva Hurghada from the 9th April - 12th April 2016. Had confirmation from getaroom.com through the terrible comparison site Hotelscombined app. Hotel informed me they never had such a reservation and charged me nearly double the price again. Neither company offfered any telephone support which you need in an emergency. Spent nearly an hour embarrassed at reception arguing with the staff and reservation team. Emailed both Hotelscombined twice who never bothered to even contact me or acknowledge receipt of my email and getaroom.com. Getaroom.com sent me an email promising to resolve the situation and no further contact. I would stay away from both these companies and the Hotelscombined app and choose a more reputable app like Trivago. I believe the transaction was fraudulent from the experience of no booking or reservation even though confirmed and paid by both parties. I intend to inform the UK media of both of these companies who I hope will write the story on them to protect other users of this terrible app and issue proceedings. STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOTELSCOMBINED APP AND THE COMPANY!!!!

What is going on?

Contacted them several times to get our hotel removed from their database, as we havent approved this.
We are still not removed, and communication has stopped. Totally unacceptable!

Rates quotes were not rates charged

I've just made a Hotel booking through HotelsCombined after ensuring the quoted rate included all taxes and was converted to AUD$. The actual rate debited added the Taxes again and a double conversion fee to AUD then to SGD. The Hotel is Orchard Parade in Singapore. Unfortunately it is a non-refundable deal so ripped off. Beware.

We display many currencies for our users' convenience but not all travel agents will support these and we will always alert you if this is not the case. Unfortunately we cannot control exchange rates and overseas bank fees as these are external and related to your own T&C with your financial institution(s). We confirmed with the hotel that you wont pay any extra amount besides the one already processed. A great company

I booked accommodation from Momondo and ended up in Booking.com. The accommodation was for BB basis. It seemed that this was mis-advertised by Booking.com. HotelsCombined did everything they did to resolve the issue and Paul, their customer care agent, was simply the best. He even was kind enough to give a €50.00 voucher. I will not be using Booking.com in the future, but most definitely, HotelsCombined have won me over. I will be using their service again.

Quick and easy to deal with Customer service

Had a issue with the description of a hotel that I had booked (falsely advertised; fortunately I found out before my trip and could cancel and find a hotel that better suited my needs). Contacted Hotels combined regarding my issue so no one else would have the same problem. The Lady I dealt with was lovely, she asked for a few details, saw what the problem was, chased it up with the hotel/s and sorted it out. I was even given a small credit for compensation for the inconvenience that was caused.
I will be happy to continue using Hotels Combined for future trips!

Don't trust HotelsCombined - avoid them

Booked hotel in Bangkok. Credit card debited. Arrived but no booking made. Had to pay again. HotelsCombined could not sort out the problem. Won't use them again.

Superb Customer Service

I had an issue with one of my bookings and Hotels Combined took immediate ownership of the issue, communicated well and continued to follow through to a resolution.

Really high quality service and it is obvious that the person you are dealing with is empowered to solve your issue there and then.

Excpetional Customer Service

I recently had a trip to Bali and had booked all accommodation through hotelscombined.com.
All the accommodation was significantly cheaper than if I booked directly through the hotels.
Booking was so easy.
There was one glitch with one of my bookings and I contacted Hotelscombined.com to let them know of the error and to see if I could get a refund. I wasn't expecting a reply so quickly but Ilana was straight onto it and very professional and helpful with my problem. Within a day the problem had been sorted and they had refunded me a booking that had an error.
I would gladly use Hotelscombined.com for ALL my bookings, in fact we are off to Melbourne in Jan and will be using it for there and the sunshine coast in February.
Thanks to Ilana and the team you were awesome :)

Absolutly Great Hotel Price Comperison Website

Searched for accommodation on Hotelscombined for my upcoming trip and i was amazed by all the information it provides the customers, prices, reviews, maps everything in one place to make the booking decision easier. i will recommend it!

incorrect rates

used this website many times. Unfortunately it seems that something has gone wrong as many rates are NOT at all correct. On most of my searches clicking on the best rate - mostly lowcostholidays- comes out with a totally diffrent rate than advertised, higher rates. Many searchengines also has charges, taxes etc etc which sometimes makes the rates much higher than the truthful websites. Be very careful when wasting your time on this search engine, which once was very good.

I have contacted hotelscombined who wanted screenshots, which were sent to them- nothing has happened.

Not trusthworthy!

Hotelscombined does NOT research the third parties that provide for the hotelrooms. We've booked to Dubai a few months ago and it turned out that the website vivastay was having bankruptcy problems! I think as a intermediair, hotelscombined has to take their responsability in providing trustworthy websites. Will never book through this website again!!!
Even AFTER I emailed them about this, they still continued to refer to vivastay, and they knew about their bankruptcy problems!!

Awesome booking comparison site

Hotelscombined searches through all booking sites - venere, hotels.com, expedia, booking.com, agoda - and more . Efficient and easy, handy in searching up cheapest hotel fares. A must use website for your travel booking needs.

Vivastay/ Vivatravel

In January, I used Hotelscombined to search for hotels in Budapest, Hungary and found a hotel deal through a company called Vivastay and made a non-refundable reservation.
When I got to the hotel, I found that my reservation was cancelled by the company at March without notifying me or returning my money.
I ended up losing 300$, had to make another reservation through the hotel which was more expensive than the original price.
Even though I have previously had good experiences with Hotelscombined, I don't think I will use this site anymore and I will recommend anybody I know not to use it.

Vivastay ripoff

We recently booked our holiday to koh Samui through hotels combined website when we arrived at our hotel we were told our booking had been cancelled a month before looks like we have done our money travel insurance won't pay credit card won't pay hotels combined say they will endeavour to get our money back but can't get hold of them and don't know what has happened. Yet I have been googling and have found out they have gone into resolvency and the firm handling the case is Mctear Williams and wood yet hotels combined know nothing
Hotels combined on the front page of there site have this written
300million people worldwide trust us.
Should they? I think not

Hotelscombined.com should check the companies who they do business with!

In January, I used Hotelscombined.com to search for hotels in Cascais, Portugal and found a hotel good deal through company called Vivastay and made a non-refundable reservation. When I got to the hotel in the middle of the night, I found that my reservation was cancelled by the company two weeks earlier without notifying me or returning my money. I ended up losing almost 1000€, had to make another reservation through the hotel which was 200€ more than the original price. Even though I have previously had good experiences with Hotelscombined.com, I don't think I will be site anymore.

Hotels Combined need to check the Companies they Deal With

I don't care that when you click on one of the options on the Hotels Combined website that you are leaving their website - they should still check that the companies they list for you to use are reputable and take some responsibility for this mess.

We were so looking forward to staying at the Marriott Hotel in Budapest for our last destination on a three week tour of Europe. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived after a 7 hour train journey from Prague to find that our booking had been cancelled by Tourico Holidays because the funds had not been forwarded to them by VivaStay. Also disappointing that this had also only been cancelled three days prior to our arrival - why wasn't this sorted in December when the booking had been originally booked and paid for. This was two months prior to our departure so there was plenty of time for them to contact us. Of course a group of 4 ladies in a foreign city arriving in the early evening had no choice but to pay for additional accommodation for 2 rooms for 3 nights again at a much higher cost. Who are Tourico Holidays - never heard of them. To say our partners were furious is an understatement - this put us in a very dangerous situation - we had no other option but to pay again for accommodation just so we had somewhere to stay for the night. This is absolutely unacceptable. I also don't think hotels combined.com.au should escape without any liability - they are supposed to be a reputable online company - how can they allow one of their suppliers to do this to unsuspecting travellers. My only option now is to apply to the bank and they may or may not cover the initial cost for 'goods and services paid for but not received' so we will wait the three months it takes to get an outcome - that is the only choice we have. I hope the comments posted on this site are a warning to other unsuspecting travellers. Travel Insurance will not cover any costs for accommodation booked online - let this be a warning. Book through a travel agent - at least you have some protection!!!
