Hotel was overbooked and informed HotelTonight in advance but HotelTonight never informed us so we were left with no place to stay after attempting to check in. After two hours of back and forth with the customer support hotline they finally refunded me with credit so I could book a new room.

The company was unable to accommodate after I had a medical emergency prior to my stay. On top of this, they asked for proof which includes private healthcare information. I will never book again.

My wife and I booked the daily special in San Juan. Got to the hotel and the doors were chained shut and the hotel was closed

A refund in 5-7 days and they are giving me a $50 credit on a future booking that expires in 90 days. HT is not a hospitality company! Terrible customer service by design.

As of 10/18 never received the $50 credit.

I recently booked a hotel through the HotelTonight app but realized almost immediately that it was the wrong hotel. I called them within 5 minutes of the booking to explain the mistake, expecting prompt assistance. Instead, I was left waiting for hours as they supposedly worked to see if I could receive a refund or credit. After 5 hours, they finally informed me that I would not be able to get either.

This experience has left me extremely disappointed with HotelTonight's customer service. Their delay in communication, coupled with the refusal to provide any form of compensation despite the quick turnaround on my end, reflects poor customer care. I would strongly advise against booking with them if you're expecting any form of flexibility or support with mistakes.

DO NOT book with this company. I booked my hotel for a Saturday to Sunday stay for this weekend. As I was going through the booking process and finalized everything after payment, the dates were not the same and were changed without me being made aware. I contacted hoteltonight and they refused to help in any way whatsoever. I contacted the hotel directly that the booking was through and they said they would refund my money without hesitation rebook me for the correct night and gave me all the information to make sure that happened. I contacted hoteltonight again with this information and they refused to cancel the reservation. SCAM, DO NOT USE!

Complete scam. Booked at hotel (Hampton) and when we showed up, there was no room and the hotel was full. They charged us anyways and refused to refund the payment.

I made reservations on the Hotel Tonight app, they charged my credit card the full amount for the stay. However, when I arrived at the hotel incorrect information was sent to the hotel. The credit card number was not mine, so I was not able to check in. I had to have the room charged again on my card. NO support provided by HotelTonight.

Booked a room for my wife, she arrived 2 hrs later and the hotel (Hampton Inn Logan Airport Boston) was overbooked and turned her away. Too late to book another room at another hotel. Didn’t want to refund the money but eventually did. Zeros all around: hoteltonight and Hampton Inn. Use at your own peril.

I got bed bug bites all over my body after my stay at the Kansas City Airport Hilton. I asked to be reimbursed for my hotel stay and medical costs. They offered a $25 coupon for a future stay.

I will never use them again! Tried to book through the website and when I put my cc information in, a window popped up saying could not process payment and to contact my bank. So I decided to book with my Hilton honors app instead. I see that hotel tonight did charge me for the payment they said didn't go through. Called them to ask for a refund and the wouldn't give it to me, no exceptions! Horrible customer service, I will stick to using Hilton and Marriot apps in the future.

Total disappointment. TLDR: couldn't get refunded even though the hotel had really loud noise in the room until late at night from an event going on downstairs, unhelpful and dishonest supervisors, and dated old rooms.

Crazy loud noise in my room past 10 PM from an event going on in their ballroom. I went to the front desk to ask if there was a way to get them to turn it down. But they just said there was nothing they could do until past midnight when the event was scheduled to end.

I told them that wasn't sufficient and decided to check out. They apologized and agreed to give me a refund for my stay, BUT I ended up having to go through HotelTonight since that's who I booked through.

Then the next day after I checked out when HotelTonight tried to confirm this with the hotel, the hotel's supervisor LIED and said they had offered to let me move rooms, which they never offered and I had never known was an option. So I'm out $300+ because they agreed to refund me but then lied to HotelTonight and denied it. Wouldn't have happened if they didn't have HotelTonight to hide behind. I'll only be booking direct when I make travel plans from now on.

Also, the rooms are old and dated. They're fine and decently clean, but definitely not 4-star quality. I'd stay somewhere more modern for the same price and go walk around the grounds if you want to enjoy the inn's beauty.

Would not refund my payment for a room I never used. The front desk at the hotel tried to scam me by repeatedly changing my credit card and claiming the charges were being denied. When the front desk asked for another card; I called my cc company and asked if there were pending charges from the hotel and they said “Yes, there are four”. I called the sketchy employee out for lying and left. Hotel Ziggy in Weho is crooked and so is Hotels Tonight. I guess taking advantage of people is company policy.

There was a thunderstorm in Dallas and the power went out all over the city. I tried to book a hotel through HotelTonight. The app faulted and closed on me when trying to book a room. I called the hotel directly out of desperation and was able to secure a room. Rooms all over town were filling up fast.
Hours later a get an email that my booking went through on HotelTonight although the app closed on me.
I immediately called and explained everything and they refused to refund me money.
Unethical and unprofessional company. To do that to people who are trying to make it through power outages is unacceptable.

No one should trust this company.

I tried to reset my password on my existing account. I did not receive a link to do so. I now have two accounts without a “higher level access”. After waiting 50 min for customer service, I was offered $25 coupon I did not receive. Not a good experience.

If zero was an option, that is what I would post. Someone created a fraudulent account on Hoteltonight.com and used my credit card to purchase hotel stays x 2 in a matter of 3 days. I called the company immediately when I saw the posted charges, was advised that a fraud team would contact me in 24 hrs. Received NO response, and call again 3 more times daily, until finally, an agent provide me an email address to send proof of the credit card purchases to the theft team. I received a response back within an hour that the charges were deemed VALID and I would not be reimbursed. They refused to escalate the concern to their security, would provide NO phone/direct contact to call. To be clear, I did NOT have and never did have an account with HotelTonight. They had zero interest in resolving the issue/crime. I would not trust a company who perpetuates criminal activity with credit card fraud, and who doesn't seem to any way to escalate fraudulent charges to victims of such theft. So long as they are getting paid, they seem to have no concern for how or who is victimized by accepting criminal charges that are reported.

The rooms that they give you at the hotel is false advertising. The rooms do not look the same. The rooms are nasty and are not clean at all. I would advise another site not this one because you’re gonna be very upset.

They will sell you rooms that aren't available on other apps. Lower room types, at a "cheaper" price but it's not at all. They make you think like that. You can book these rooms direct with the hotel for €20 cheaper. Also, they say in the description of the price it includes taxes and charges but beware, in the small print they say otherwise so another €10 on top.

It's a bit of a scam.

Stick to the trusted apps, it's all psychology and marketing on here.

This company needs to be avoided. They are not worth dealing with. My wife needed major abdominal surgery so I canceled my trip but they refuse to refund my money. They are not compassionate nice people. All they care about is grabbing your money. You are better off dealing with the hotel themselves rather than this sleazy outfit. Hopefully I get a few people to stop using them. I wrote 5 emails to them with the same results. Their management is inflexible and refused to waive the money for my stay. Today was supposed to be my first stay but instead I’m home with my wife who has 30 staples in her abdomen. They are a lousy company. AVOID THEM

I would give this company 0 stars if it were a choice. I booked a room through the Hotel Tonight app for 2 nights. I wasn’t able to check in before the cut off on the first night so they canceled my booking and would not refund my money. I was out the money for the two nights and wasn’t able to check in for the second night. Essentially paid for a room and didn’t even get to use it. Do not use them. They are a scam and their customer service is a joke. They will tell you they will work on it and call you back. I’m pretty sure they just wait 30 min and call you back stating there is nothing they can do. Every time I called this was the response I received at exactly 30min on the dot every time.

Wish there is negative star’s or at least zero star.

The Hotel Tonight booking of Hagia Sophia Hotel Istanbul/Old City, paid and confirmed with me has been permanently closed years ago. No information available on their website, on Hotel Tonight site, Hotel Tonight listed phone number is non-working number; Google Map and other searches also provided the same number Hotel Tonight provided that has a recording that “the phone has been non-working”. After receiving HotelTonight confirmation of booking and paid in full, I got into a taxi in heavy rain and with multiple pieces luggage. Driver and I called 6 hotels in the area with similar name to Hotel Tonight booking name and none of them can find my reservation. Eventually, after stopping at 2 other hotels, I walked in the rain with my luggage still in the trunk of the taxi a block away, and find a hotel at the same address named Vogue Hotel Supreme . They could not find my “paid and confirmed reservation” by Hotel Tonight . I am now stuck at hotel lobby with heavy rain outside and multiple wet luggage’s
