A total scam and disgusting that they market themselves as a company designed to save you money. I received an invoice from a hotel I booked through them for a 4 night stay and discovered they charged me $550 above the actual cost of the hotel. Do not book anything though hoteltonight.

Used it twice, once in Paris and yesterday in Zaandam Netherlands and everything was smooth and ofc cheaper than the original price. Would use it again.

I recently booked a 5 night stay at a hotel through Hotel Tonite. I inadvertently booked the wrong week and immediately called the company to see about modifying the dates. Or even to get a credit for future use. I have used this company multiple times the past few years, but yet they would not work with me at all. Would not modify the dates, would not offer credit for future use, would not cancel. Please be aware that Hotel Tonite does not value their customers and will not offer ANY customer service. Beware of Hotel Tonite! Please share for the sake of other travelers. I just lost over $600.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I booked a room in a hotel nearby the hospital where I was to have a procedure. The day of the procedure they sent me a note saying the booking was a mistake and wouldn't be honored. Minimal apology and their idea of "exceptional customer service" was to tell me they would refund my money.

I ended up 13 miles away from the hospital thanks to their incompetence

Prices are considerably cheaper elsewhere. This app is quoting me £95 for a room I get for £76 on booking.com

Twice I booked with Hoteltonight and both times they booked me at a hotel with the same name (1st time it was at a La Quinta) but at a different location. The first tine I called HT but they would only give me credit, not a refund. The second time I booked with them I just wanted to use my credit. They booked me at a hotel (same name motel) but 50 miles away. I was driving cross-country and the hotel was on my route so I stayed there. But that was the last time I use HT.

We booked the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. The rate was $240. The rate on the Fairmont website was $450.00. Check-in was a breeze. We were given a Deluxe King Room. Absolutely, no issues or problems. I have read other reviews where guests do not like the hotel they booked. That is not the fault of Hoteltonight. Do your research, read the reviews of the property, ask the property about added fees such as $35 resort fees and incidental charges paid directly to the hotel. Not liking a hotel has nothing to do with the booking engine used. Also, the type of room booked is up to the hotel itself and not Hoteltonight. If you are picky and want a certain room type with a specific view, always book direct. Lastly, after making your reservation with Hoteltonight, call the front desk of the hotel and confirm they have your reservation.

Update to what was previously written: I checked my CC and true to what I was told by Hoteltonight, I was not charged by Fairfield Inn for the room we booked through HotelTonight. In fact, I got an even better deal because the room I booked through HotelTonight was less expensive than the one we ended up in.

They will NEVER refund you! I booked a room at a hotel that wouldn't allow me to stay because of my dog. The hotel told me they refunded me immediately and I booked another room with Hotel Tonight. Now I find out that hotel tonight denied my request for a refund even though the hotel gave hotel tonight their money back! Never again!!!! Now they'll have to deal with my chargeback.

We were driving cross country after a canceled flight. We used hotel tonight to book a hotel in the middle of Pennsylvania along our route. The whole reason I had the app on my phone - for last minute hotel needs. We get to the hotel check-in desk, confirmation in-hand, at 11:30PM. The lovely concierge said they had been trying to reach HotelTonight because they were out of rooms and couldn't honor our reservation. We had booked the hotel many hours prior and heard NOTHING from HotelTonight. We ended up at a crappy place across the way, no thanks to hoteltonight. After many hours on hold/on the phone with customer service we supposedly got a refund (still waiting on that) but they did very little to try to redeem themselves. 25$ off another stay? Never will I be using them again. Zero confidence.

My son and his wife were enroute to ATL, diverted and mis connected. Knowing hotels fill up quickly I booked on HotelTonight. I found an airport DoubleTree. My son arrived at the hotel to find no rooms. The desk clerk said HotelTonight keep booking even with no rooms. I'm deleting this app after I get my refund that hasn't happened yet

As I am writing this complaint, I am stranded at 3:29 AM. I booked a last minute hotel for the night at 1:50 AM for 8/24/23 and would check out by 7AM for work. I specifically searched last minute hotel booking and “HotelTonight” came up. As I am booking the hotel room it has an option that asks whether you want a last minute hotel. So I booked the hotel with the expectation that I would be able to get in the hotel room right away. The Hotel staff said they could not let me in before 3pm in the afternoon.

I called HotelTonight and customer service did not help me at all. They made one phone call to the front desk and the staff told them that HotelTonight would have to adjust the booking on their end. HotelTonight could not adjust the booking so that I could be let in earlier. In spite of this, HotelTonight did not attempt to book another hotel for me to sleep. When I asked for them to cancel the reservation since I won’t be able to check into the hotel and won’t have a need for the hotel until 3pm, THEY SAID NO.

So now I am stranded in the streets and no money to book another hotel. I want my money back. HotelTonight is a Fraudulent business. Their website is literally called “HotelTonight”, which aludes you can book a last minute hotel for the night. Additionally, there is no indication that your reservation is for 3pm that day before you pay for the reservation. You are only notified upon receiving your email confirmation.

HOTELTONIGHT REFUND MY MONEY. It’s nowhere near 3pm so you guys can still refund my money. Very inhumane and unethical what you guys are doing.

Never used them and received a charge for $247. I called to ask about it and they request card number and expiration date. Which you shouldnt give. Offered them the "transaction number" and they cant look it up with that. AVOID AND WATCH OUT

Before any legal action is taken, I was told on a recorded line I’d be refunded for my reservation because of the time you all had wrong on the reservation. Now 2 months later I am being charged $172 on my account, and of course the company hotel tonight then decided to block my online access from company after reversing the claim on my chase account.

I reserved a room with them, when I got to the hotel, the hotel had given away my room and said I would get a refund. Complained to HotelsTonight and the scam company said that for the $300 they charged me they would give me a half credit to use in the future and get to endure the pleasure of not having anything for the money I paid at a later date. They are a complete waste of time and money. Save yourself the aggravation and just book direct

thieves. made double booking, after being told there would be no issue canceling first booking as there was misleading information, and after that, we got charged for both booking with no help nor resolution.

This company is a scam. You expect to get a great deal on the best rooms, instead you get the worst rooms at the highest price. Breakfast is never included…

Paid 350 euro for a room at the elevator, cleaning woman comes in at 9:15 and just opens the door(we check out), no water in room, no breakfast and very small bed. Basically hotels tonight is where the hotels offload their last rooms that booking or hotels.com would never take..

Worst experience ever all I asked was if could use my reservation under a different day I did not want to cancel it and emergency occurred and I couldn’t make it . And I was asked for medical records to prove it and still they cannot guarantee they could help will never use them again

Booked on the app, paid and they took my money. Then (possibly as I got a good rate) they decided to cancel and when I turned up to the hotel that is where I was told they would not check me in or allow me to take a room as I was a fraudster and I was in serious trouble. Was asked to remove myself from the premises in front of many people even though I was a bonvoy marriot member for years at a good level with my id and amex to boot. The manager at the hotel said they do not want fraudsters in their hotel and hotel tonight had informed them we committed fraud. Hotel was Courtyard Waikiki Beach in Hawaii.
