Playing with numbers, delivering kitchens with missing parts and not answering questions.

I recently purchased a kitchen for a client and it's been over two months no design has been sent and all the cabinets seem wrong. Had to pay out of my own pocket from another kitchen supplier so my client was happy.

Costed me so much. Customer services promised help store contacted and nothing yet.

I have been trading with Howdens for well over twenty years. I have used Howdens Kitchens in the Caribbean, (Montserrat). I follow Jemma where ever she goes! Her customer service is exemplary and she is a real professional.

Worst Howdens to deal with, don’t go here as they don’t know what they’re doing. Staff probably sleeping while loading items. My client had ordered a kitchen, who ever designed the kitchen had messed up initially. And this is where it all starts. Unit given for both corners was a 800mm wide unit where a 1000mm wide unit will fit and have more space left in the corner, they had failed to mention the void area to the client, when they had seen this they had contacted Howdens to get this changed for 1000mm unit, they was told because the had opened the wrapping which is some pallet wrap nothing special they will not take it back and they have to purchase new units, which they had done. This is the first delayed thanks to Howdens. Now here comes the delivery after 4 days or so which is wrong, different colour base unit, client had instructed to be put on as it’s just internal we open the wrap and it’s not the exact match as there’s no slots for the trims to go in, second delay thanks to Howdens, another 3 days. Due to all this we had decided to check what the client received in delivery. We have found the following. Base unit for for draws is wrong and also the facia, the lady at Howdens had told the client for the installer to make cut outs for the profiles and they will provide a jig for the draw rails, this is not my job, but I said ok I’ll do it as we needed to get this done and finished. Corner profile attachments, larder decor panel, gold trims, wall mount brackets one 2 units, and some other bits all missing. The second delayed has now delayed the worktop measurement as they can’t measure it for order. We’ve also had to postpone our next job which the second client did not want and said they’ll get someone else to install if we can’t. We had told our first client that we’d have to come back another time to finish the job as we’re gona loose our next job and and they’ve decided to pay the cost of our next job so they can have they’re kitchen complete so they can move in. This is the ridiculous service you get from Howdens for spending near enough £9,000

Extremely professional and client centric service from design to delivery

Extremely helpful staff and a great quality product. On top of a great price. looks like i have found my new go to for kitchens. A+

I would not recommend going to this branch, based on my personal experiences. Whilst the service was prompt when arranging to measure my kitchen, it soon became very poor. There were delays in getting a reply via call or email. I was told multiple times that I would receive a call back and I did not. I had to chase everything, but as soon as the kitchen design was agreed they expected a very quick payment.

Following the payment and delivery, the kitchen fitter highlighted that they had missed multiple items from the design. I needed to change 2 doors and was charged an extortionate fee. There have been multiple issues with delivering the right materials. They have made multiple mistakes, continuously say they will get back in contact and they don't. I have needed to chase multiple times a day just to get through to anyone, including the managers who have been looking at the account.

The kitchen itself is lovely, but the customer service is terrible and therefore I would not recommend. This has caused a great amount of stress and has taken much longer than it needs to. They will quickly take your money and then fail to provide adequate assistance

Recently went to Walthamstow branch as my preferred branch, everyone is very helpful, I am always greeted with smile and what ever I order I do not have to wait for too long to get the order together. Keep up the good work.
