We very often only write a review when the service we have received is below our expectations or has gone wrong. We don't bother to thank those involved in delivering the service when the service we received has gone well or well above our expectations. I recently purchased my kitchen at the Howden's Walthamstow branch. I can say that the service I received at the branch has indeed been exceptional! The level of care and attention given by the designer Dev in designing my kitchen was exceptional (thank you so much Dev). It wasn't easy because I did change my mind more than a few times but she was more than patient and the end result was the design she delivered for my kitchen was beautiful!
Thank you so much Danny (the Manager at the branch) who was super in dealing with issues that arose with items. I understand that from those who have been dealing with that branch for some number of years that Danny is one of the better managers that is there now. I also understand that the manager attrition levels has been high over the years and I can only hope that Howden's retain Danny in the role. My kitchen is now fitted and as I sit here and admire my kitchen, all I can say again is thank you so much Danny, Dev and the staff at the Walthamstow branch for the positive experience I recently received!

Ive been a builder for many years but i have never received such exceptional service from start to finish, one of the employees there I believe her name is katie was fantastic in assisting me every step of the way and helped me achieve the kitchen that was perfect for the job i was doing as it was difficult due to tricky spacing, i will recommend everyone to this branch and will definitely be using them in the near future.

Hi it’s been bad experience with the staff they even don’t know how to deal with the customer waiting there 3 hours and they don’t get me the right stuff also they send me the driver who is offensive swore at me very rude and he is think that he came to me for fevers witch is not I am really unhappy and upset and I pay for delivery around the corner they charge me £100 plus vat so they are using criminals drivers

Ive been using this company for over 10 years from time to time and I have been recommending them to my customers because they were professional with the design,correct,helpful,delivery spot on on time,no missing items and incase something was wrong replacement use to be delivered even same day and this is the only reason to give 2 stars instead of 1.Very helpfull to us the fitters,they always use to make it nice and easy for us and this was the reason,but soon after the first lockdown of Covid when they opened back to work and I start using them I have noticed big difference,totally opposite to what Im liked and use to recommend them,they made delivery with 1/3 of the items missing and the only way to finish the job without ruin my reputation is to drive to 5 different branches 10 times to pick up piece by piece and finish the job,they dont care anymore,kitchen plans are wrong,they sell to customer wrong items or items he dont need,or delivered wrong colour,I have done 5 kitchen for the last 2 years and I do regret more and more,I will never recommend them again as they ruin my reputation giving me more responsibility then any other shop as they dont even unload the kitchen from the lorry,asking the fitter to do,if the fitter is not on site the customer need to load on his own worktops and units apliances.Big mess all the time and my customers regret using them and on top of this i noticed the quality of the kitchen reduced as low as cheapest in wickes or b&q,not worth the money they charge so I never recommend them anymore,even telling all this to my customers so they know and the reason to write this review is exactly because I know tehre were good,the only reason this to hapen is because they dont care or mainly the new managmend dont care,so if they dont care and ruin my reputation I think the best thing for for everyone and me to do is this honest and exactly from the kitchen review as the retail customers will not know unless fitters let them know and they using this trade only very well to keep doing their sells.Well the only way something to change is to tell the truth straight in the face,as when I was complaining on the phone seems no one care,well thats why some businesses grow,others no ,reputation is everything

I’ve had a trade account with Howdens for years now and have dealt with a few branches but never had such a poor level of service as I just experienced with the Walthamstow branch. They caused more errors than I can count, were difficult to get hold of on the phone to rectify (which meant I kept having to go into the branch), the design for my client was poorly thought out and when I complained none of my emails were responded too and no apology or any level of compensation was offered - just basic customer service! It was totally embarrassing given that I advised my Client to use Howdens over other competitors! I strongly advise using an alternative company or branch. (The guys on the front desk and in the Warehouse were really nice though!)

My first order from Waltham Stow depot. They sent me about 30% wrong delivery. It took ten days to get another delivery, again with items i didn't need, then I got another delivery and again with unnecessary items and then I got another delivery and yes again with unwanted items. Oh yes they charges me for extra deliveries. Total nightmare, it did cost me more to pay labour. When I went to the depot to finalise my bill, I complained about that deliveries issue, the manager disappeared, he was on the phone where I could see him, he was informed customer is waiting, he asked why, I could hear them. The manager didn't come, he sent a lady to deal with the problem. Poor customer service.
Quality of the products was great. Staff was almost always available on the phone.
