Htc deliver the worst customer service…

Htc deliver the worst customer service you can imagine.

I would strongly advise against purchasing a mobile phone from HTC. I bought a HTC10 and it degraded quickly.

I sent it in for a battery replacement as the phone was unstable and had it returned with a broken screen

After a lengthy process where they finally accept fault it is sent away again and returns with a broken microphone.

I sent it out to be repaired and this is where it takes a turn for the worse.

It's been with them since October 8th- it's now November 13th. They have no updates for me on the repair. You try to speak to a manager or the escalations team and are promised phone calls that day or the next, so far I've been promised 6 and none have happened.

When you ring them they tell you the same lies - no manger avalible they will phone you back- they say they will see to it personally happens. Obviously they do not.

The call centre is in Egypt and the repair centre is in Poland and they have no way of contacting them aside from email that takes 7 days to get a reply and that reply will only say in repair and no details.

Your customer service is so poor it is offensive.

If you are happy to spend money on an expensive bit of kit you will have to bin in a year or face weeks in customer service hell buy from htc if not consider one of the rivals who are trying for your cash.

Had htc 10 phone and brought it to warranty because it was turning off, was told that batter was replaced, nothing changed, then again brought it to them, informed that changed motherboard - nothing changed again. HTC does not fix broken device, they tell you that they did something but they did not.

HTC Vive warrantys are non existent

HTC Vive warrantys are non existent. Basically the second you open the box from being brand new you have voided the warranty.

Sent controllers back for warranty repair (faulty d pad, common problem, manufactiring fault)

Was told that both controllers have suffered from major mechanical failure, inclusing deep scratchs , gougs , dog bites , and tab marks all over the infra red sensors. They have refused to rwpair under warranty and want to charge same amount to fix as new controllers. I refute this (controllers have the odd mark you would expect from being used and they have never ever addressed the dpad problem).

Fine they will send them back (at a cost of £45)

Never ever ever will i buy HTC ever again

Sent off to be repaired as no one can…

Sent off to be repaired as no one can repair the new htc. I had to contact them to get an update and they have to cheek to requote me £760 to fix a broken screen. They say that other things were broken which was impossible. Bear in mind a new htc would cost me £740. Never again will I waste my money on this company. Also lack of cases and no one touches htc. If you buy one beware if you have any problems then it’s a mission to solve!!! Not worth the stress or gamble!!!

Avoid HTC at all costs

HTC make incredible phones, I have been a big fan of HTC phones for many years.

However you should never purchase one!!

As soon as you get an issue with one you have a big problem.

My HTC 10 was fine for a while.

I understand batteries degrade after time , but this battery in this phone has never been the best.

It started to drain very quickly even when not in use.
I would be constantly recharging it, and when it got to 20% battery it would reboot or completely die if you took 1 photograph.

I got in contact with HTC’s customer service department, that’s when all of the fun started.

They informed me the repair process would take 5-10 working days.

They emailed me over a UPS label and I sent my phone off on July the 30th.

They received my phone the next day.

10 days later I had no communication from HTC... so I got in touch.
They told me to be patient and it would arrive, they also escalated the problem.

A week or two later and still no communication, so I rang up and they told me there was a problem with the sync of my ticket.

They told me they would escalate the issue again as they had no idea where the phone was.

After many emails and tweets later I finally got my phone back on September the 3rd. 1 Month and 3 days ...

And guess what, the phone is still FAULTY!

I rang them and asked how it could still be faulty after being away so long.

They said sorry we can escalate it again, and it would need to come back in for repair.

They offered me 10 percent off their website, I told her why would I ever touch a HTC product again and what a insult that was.

I will not be sending my phone off for repair, I will wait and be getting a new contract and a new phone.

But this time it will not be HTC!!

I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life.
Their repair center Regenersis is actually shocking.

They printed a UPS label to ship my phone out on the Wednesday, and didn’t actually hand it over to UPS until the Friday.... making me wait over the weekend to get it back.

Plus it’s still faulty!!

AVOID HTC at all costs. Once they have had your money they do not care.

(I apologize for my poor grammar)

My HTC Vive broke suddently after 8…

My HTC Vive broke suddently after 8 months because of a known product defect which allows sweat to get into the device. HTC used to include sweat in Vive warranty but after the devices started breaking they removed it. They tried to make me pay 50€ just for checking it and 350€ for fixing the device. I didn't pay anything and got the broken Vive back thanks to the reseller. Now I have to wait 12 moths for customer protection agency to resolve the case. Buy Oculus Rift or something else

Horrendous service

The HTC 10 phone is fine, but when it went wrong the service was woeful.
The power button had failed so I sent in under warranty. After not hearing for a week I chased them up. They asked me to refer to the quotation, which I hadn't received. Then I was informed that a very small crack in the corner of the screen had invalidated the entire warranty. The quotation was £150 as they insisted on replacing pretty much everything, even the SD and SIM trays which I was told to remove before sending.

Twice they have told me a document would be sent to me within three business hours only for them not to. I actually think it's a rather cynical lie.

UPDATE: I had to pay for the repair, which was on 31st August. Today is 8th October and still no phone. Despite multiple escalations, online chats, and promises - no phone. Also, no offer of compensation, nor refund. Please be assured, none of this is me exaggerating, HTC support is as bad as it gets.

HTC oh my goodness

HTC oh my goodness, I can not believe a company like this is still in business. The worst company hands down I have ever dealt with. How did this company get past day one of opening their doors?? Ok so basically my experience goes like this.........bought an HTC phone, two weeks later battery died, went back to store I purchased it from they said I would need to contact HTC, the store called HTC for me and were very helpful. HTC hung up on me two times, when I finally spoke to someone they sounded like they had just woke up or something and proceeded to tell me that it's not HTC's problem it's my service providers problem????? I bought phone from a phone shop outright and switched my old phone number over from Vodafone. So Vodafone had nothing to with the phone. Eventually after continuous ongoing (which I can only call) stupidity from HTC and about ten phone calls later, the lovely person in the phone shop who had been hearing the phone calls said "hey mate we'll just give you a new battery, your not going to get anywhere with HTC because they're useless" . This store is actually discontinuing selling HTC's because of the amount of issues they have had with them. So anywhere I walked away with a new battery and my phone worked again for about two months, crap phone though, kept crashing, i would have to restart the phone at least three times a week because it was just freeze. Display was horrible and you guessed it the phone ate the new battery and after three months the phones was only holding a charge for 30 mins. I went back into the phone store again as the lanyard that was supplied BY HTC with the phone had broke (after three months of minimal use) because the lanyard broke with no warning the phone fell onto CARPET and the screen broke. By this point I didn't like HTC very much, as you could well imagine. So myself and the guy at the shop went through the whole process again. Only to be told again that it was my service providers responsibility to replace the phone........but they'll send me a new lanyard!!!???? HA!!! I'm thinking these HTC people are a bit confused, they don't quite know how to understand basic English and are very confused about how to communicate with another human. I asked to speak to the manager after being on hold for ten minutes the response I got was "my manager doesn't want to talk to you". My response was "excuse me, why do they not want to speak with me" put on hold for another ten. Response "because he doesn't want to" by this time I was in hysterics, it had come to the point where myself and the guy in the phone I need shop had tears steaming down our face because it was just so comical. I wish I could have recorded the call it would have been a lifetime of entertainment. But anyway the eventual outcome was, I hung up the phone. The phone shop guy and I had a great laugh about it, I threw the HTC in the rubbish bin and I bought a Huawei. I have had the Huawei for 12 months now and have had no problems at all. If you want a good laugh buy a HTC phone, if you want a phone that actually works don't buy a HTC.

Do NOT buy HTC Products If You Value Your Money

Do not buy HTC, if something goes wrong with the product then you will regret it.

HTC Vive Virtual Reality kit stopped working after 3 months of light use. I contacted their support via email in October 2016. The wait times are 2-3 weeks plus and majority of the time it's a copy paste response of no help at all, if they even get back to you.

After nearly 2 years of messing me about with long wait times and incompetent call agents saying they will do x and x but in reality did nothing, I am now taking legal action to get my money back from these scam artists for the broken product and literally the worst customer service on this planet which has been consistent for 2 years.

I have since heard about HTC phones breaking and HTC batteries barely lasting 2 years. Another scam to make you buy another phone.

The HTC Vive is the first HTC product I have ever bought, and it will most definitely be my last. If HTC is mentioned to me or I hear someone talking about them, I will tarnish their name and emphatically state to avoid and boycott them at all costs.

The most incompetent company ever. Avoid at all costs.

the absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with and will NEVER buy another HTC phone. I have had 4 previous HTC phones and they were brilliant.. but this latest HTC 10 started to go wrong after less than 18 months. customer service took 2 months of constant chasing and emails to arrange for me to return it...so I sent it back and after 10 days of having it I emailed to find out what was going on.. THEN they emailed me to say they have received it and will now start to fix it. The incompetence of the customer service people is staggering. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this mess of a company.

No suprise that HTC goes down the hill

I bought a new HTC U12+ on release. It has a issue i found out after 2 weeks of usage. I called the support to get a ticket, the Support Agent (clearly had his first day or maybe was a intership) ignored all of my questions, to my questions "If he understood what the issue was so the technican know whats broken." he replied: "I just talked to my supervisor and you will receive a discount voucher for our online shop". This was going on the hole conversion. I hang up and called again. The new agent, finally could answer my questions and also confirmed me that the previous agent wrote down the absolutly wrong issue. She told me she changed it. Now 1 month later, i called them again and they told me that they ordered a replacement part from taiwan, which will take another month to arrive. This is absolutly unacceptable. I asked if could speak a supervisor and got told he will contact me. I didnt got called, i didnt received a email. I called them the last 5 days everyday and got the same answer, that he will contact me today. I am having a HTC Phone for the past 6 years and i am not suprised HTC is going down the hill if they be like this to their customers, who pays 800€ for their phone. I like the phone, i just want a working one. They should have send me a new phone like any other company. Its 100% my last HTC phone, never again. Hopefully they go bank corrupt soon and spare other people with this.

They hang up on their customers!

Where do i start! Called customer service (laughable) to ask where to purchase a replacement clear phone case that came in the box with the U11 i currently own. UK customer service centre...based in Egypt.
After, unsurpringly, not getting very far i called UK Head Office in Slough to speak to someone senior. Unhelpful receptionist who after being questioned about speaking to someone high up put the phone down on me!! I've had HTC phones from their early days but they now don't deserve the custom. Blood suitably boiled!!!

Best phone, worst support!

The only reason I have given 2 stars and not 1, is because I think my HTC 10 is the best phone I have ever had, BUT, UK support is so bad, I will never buy an HTC again! Do you wonder why one of the best phones ever produced has failed dismally? I did until I had to use htc support. Have had an htc for some 8 years. Was getting the U12 but not after my experience with the support and repair, or lack of it! Really don't know which phone to get now, but do know it won't be an htc!

The worst support I've ever gotten

The worst support I've ever gotten. Got promised I would be able to buy a HTC Vive Base Station next week. Waited an entire week for them. Then got told that I apperantly got lied to by a guy from customer support and that they have no clue when they will restock.
