HTC VIVE delux headstap.

HTC VIVE delux headstap.

they purposely broke my item so they can make me to pay them
or UPS broke it, but how i sent the item it is allmost impoisble for it to happen.
it will cost me 45euros to resive the item back, or 138.39 EUR
for them to repair it. the item cost me £100, that about 120 EUR for a new item.

they keep on making a mistake over and over and over again.

1st time, they lost my receipt for warranty proof, i give it to them, that is all they was asking to repair my item.

this is the e-mail i got from this "During the repair process our technicians have identified that the repair cannot be completed in warranty due to the following reason:
Warranty period"

yous see "Warranty period" at the bottom,
2nd you see "During the repair process our technicians "
apparently this email is automated, no technicians even reviewed my item.
3rd someone even reviewed my item, to see what going on when they lost my receipt, after i gived another one to them, they sayed things are all good now.

"Shady: OK Harry, I will raise an escalation now to cancel the quotation sent to you.
You: so is it all good now?
Shady: Kindly note that it might take up to 5 business days to completely solve the issue and proceed with the repair in warranty."

I was sent out a brand new faulty phone.

I purchased the new HTC Desire 12 plus direct from the company, It arrived within 2 days and when I unboxed it and switched it on, It was freezing and developed a mind of it's own. Now this is a brand new sealed phone which I got. I'm not happy that I was sent a faulty phone direct from HTC. The customer service team (spoke to Max) helped me out in sending me a pre-paid return sticker to attach on parcel and I sent it off back to them (UPS) Once HTC received the phone, I got a full refund without a fuss. The customer service team was helpful though. The 2 stars is for sending me a faulty phone which is unfair as I expect top quality phones from HTC.

HTC used to be the best phone company on…

HTC used to be the best phone company on the planet, now they are only. Interested in Virtual reality.

I had used nothing but HTC for the past eight years and received an excellent service, a couple of years ago I sent my phone back for a smll repair, the repair took three weeks, the phone was returned to me, but was damaged.

I called HTC, they collected the phone and returned it to me three weeks later, but the phone had not been touched?

I called them again, sent in pictures, marked the damage and once again it was collected.

After three weeks or so, I received a call from HTC to say that they could not repair the fault and they offered me a replacement.

After a little questioning, they admitted that they had lost my original phone!

Replacement phone arrived, very happy with phone and HTC say that as a gesture of goodwill, they would honour the full warranty of the replacement. Phone.

Battery went flat, recharged overnight, but would not switch on, call HTC, phone collected and returned to me three weeks later in Feb 2017.

March 2017, the screen becomes loose, due to what appears to be a faulty repair, I call HTC and they say send it back. I say, “cannot download contacts etc from the phone and until I can do this, I am stuck.

After what seems like hundreds of calls to HTC, I get a guy who says “ go into developer mode and check USB setting”

There was no Developer Mode on my phone?

Then told “go to this screen and tap this seven times”

I did and hey presto! Developer mode appears and I see that phone usb is set to charge phone only!

Change settings and can now download and back up my phone and return my phone for repair.

Stupid me! HTC say “ sorry you warranty ran out December 2017”

But I reported the fault in March 2017 and the only reason that is was not returned then, is because when. It was last returned from repair the settings had been changed so I could not download the memory!!!!

So basically I get fobbed off until the warranty is out and only then after many arguments they insult me with “you can have 10% discount off of a new HTC phone’

I would rather stick needles in my eyes than have another HTC product...

Shockingly bad!!!!!!

This is the worst manufacturer of mobile phones I have encountered and I have had my fair share of other providers such as Samsung, Apple, Sony etc.... I have a HTC 10 and had it for approx 16 months. I sent my HTC 10 phone to HTC for repair as the back button and multi screen button are not responding at all. I had to ring HTC customer service to arrange this and the man was not very patient and did not explain the process clearly. They had to email me the return label and repair ticket. I had to make two further calls to customer service before I finally received both of these to send my phone off. A week later I had an email to say that because I had a slight dent to the side of my phone, the warranty was void and I could pay them £315 for the repair or £27 to return my phone without repair. I could buy a brand new HTC 10 for £299!!!! When I rang customer service to query this and complain, the advisor again was not helpful and even rude, saying at one point she could not hear me when I asked her to justify the cost. I would not recommend buying a HTC phone as the warranty will always be void with any slightest damage/scratch and they will over charge you for a repair.

Worst service in the known universe..

Worst service in the known universe..

I phoned up customer service only to speak with someone who was using a stone age headset. I could not hear a single word, the line was crackling so damn bad.

The quote I got on my HTC 10 was over £240, considering the phone is only worth £150?

Bye bye HTC never again will you get my hard earned money.

Defective Vive Base Station - 2 Month Repair and Counting

I had a defective base station for the HTC Vive. It failed after 5 months. When this happens you have to ship the piece back to HTC and pay your own shipping. Originally the repair was supposed to take 7-10 days. Now they are telling me they are backed up and it could take 6 weeks. I have seen people on HTC forums waiting several months. This is not acceptable. Reputable technology companies send a replacement and a shipping label for the customer to send the defective unit back after first receiving a replacement. I will not buy another Vive or upgrade. My next rig will be from another company.

What a nightmare

What a nightmare. About 9 months after owning my HTC U11, the USB-C port stopped working properly affecting charging and the headphone adapter would no longer work. I sent the phone in for repair, 7 weeks later it came back... not fixed. Same problems. HTC wants me to send the phone back in again. At this point in time, most honorable companies would send a replacement. I will have had a functioning phone for 9 months of the 13 I will have owned it. Never again will I purchase an HTC.

HTC service is shocking.

HTC service is shocking.
I ordered a phone, only for the website to tell me my order had been rejected. I then proceeded to order a phone elsewhere and then later found out HTC had actually approved my order. Immediately I called the customer service asking them to cancel off which they confirmed they did. Next working day I received confirmation the HTC phone was still on its way. Spent all morning explaining that I no longer wanted the phone. Then they said, I should just send it back once I receive it. Got it back, and HTC do not have a straight forward refund/ returns process (which by the way does not comply with the E-Commerce Directive). You have to get in contact with their customer service who sometimes hang up the phone on you and do not send you complete information. I feel this is so the return period can lapse.

It is personal, but simple brilliant.

HTC sells one of the best products on the market, There devices are second to none, with great design teams, tech under the hood and an amazingly user-friendly innovation.

I've never had any issues with HTC in the 8 years have been buying the premium flagships and with an unlimited data plan means that HTC devices can live out their full potential.

This business listens to its community; it has its own user experience elevate programme where users of HTC can get involved in giving feedback to the teams at HTC, taking user experience to bring the best innovation and design to its products.

HTC has always been a company that brings simplicity to its products but with all the latest add-on and security so that the device becomes an extension of a person; personal technology has always been at the heart of HTC.

Scamming "repair" service.

phone stopped booting after a software upgrade
took 2 weeks to send it to them because they kept cocking up sending me the support tickets with their email sysytem
eventually got the phone too them.
got quotation saying it was non warranty damage, charge for new cameras, screen etc... for £550 total (when all it needed was its firmware flashing, could have done it myself in an hour if I had the right files)

TOTAL CONNING CHARLATANS

Awaiting on Three to give them a rocket up the proverbial. If that doesn't sort it going to have to look into consumer protection law.

They look like good phones for the money, and they are until they go wrong, but their business practices are appalling.

I suffer from Dyslexia

I suffer from Dyslexia, my phone is basically my short term memory.
I have had an HTC M8s which has been faulty for over a year.
One of the problems that I have, is that its memory cannot be backed up, we have tried everything, but to no avail.
Phone not recognised by HTC software, have asked for advice from HTC, but have been going around in circles.
Now the attitude is, the phone is two years old, it’s at its end of life, goodbye!
UK consumer law states that a manufacturer has to support a product for a period of “six” years, Not Two!
So now have Avery expensive phone that has not worked properly since it was new and all I can do is throw it in the bin.

I have owned HTC phones for years, but never again, HTC seem to think that UK laws do not apply to them!

DON’T BUY HTC UNLESS YOU LIKE RUBBISH!

HTC 10 Repair

Recently had problems with my 23th month old HTC10 and battery capacity problems. I contacted HTC service via live chat and was offered a repair under the 24 months warranty with no quibble, a pre paid UPS label was duly emailed and I was asked to drop it of at a local UPS collection point, but as this was a few miles away they even offered to collect from my home address. I opted to take it to the drop off point. The phone was collected the same day and I received an email three days later to say it had been received. 8 working days later I received an email saying my phone was on it's way back to me via UPS.

The phone was in perfect condition when I sent and and returned in the same pristine condition, there wasn't a repair report unfortunately, but it looks like they have replaced the battery and the screen.

So having read some of the horror stories I thought I should share my experience, and to be fair it's been good.

take my advice dont buy a vive from HTC direct, their customer service is shocking i have spent over 3 hours on online chat trying to resolve order issues to no avail. everything i have been told & promised on chat simply hasn't happened.

after 3 days they told me stock i had been promised would be delayed so cancelled my order, now 12 days later they still haven't refunded my money nearly a thousand pounds.... !!!

One of the worst customer service experiences I've had since the internet began.

Dispute case has been opened now , unbelievable

UNSAFE phones and AWFUL customer service.

I bought a HTC U11 around when it came out in 2017 (July to be exact). Around one month ago (March 2018) it almost set on FIRE whilst charging!
They have refused to replace the phone, and instead will only repair it. It's been 2 and a half weeks and still no word on when I can expect the phone. They won't refund me. Spoke to the customer service, and they were literally the WORST customer service I've ever had the misfortune to come across! Incredibly rude and unhelpful.
I implore you, DON'T purchase from this dreadful company. I will never ever buy another HTC phone again.
EDIT: Quoted me hundreds on pounds to fix my phone, despite being well within the warranty, because I didn't send the charging cable with the phone (which they told me NOT to send, I must add!!) I ended up having to PAY HTC TO RETURN my phone to me, after them having it for about 4 months!! (Eventually I got my phone fixed on my insurance in the end, who repaired it in about 3 days).
AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I see a lot of people have had a bad…

I see a lot of people have had a bad experience with HTC. I have a one M8S phone and it's been the best phone I ever owned. My phone has received many software updates, the signal is the best I have ever had. Sound from the built in speakers is very good, and camera is great to. I really like the phone, but sadly the battery is starting to get weak. But in truth I have used it for internet a hell of a lot. If I could replace the battery, I would be happy to stick with this phone!

Bought the HTC U11 Life (Android One)…

Bought the HTC U11 Life (Android One) here in the UK, in good faith and promises from HTC that they would (a) deliver timely security updates and (b) software updates. Well its now the 20th of March and no security update has been provided. They cant provide an estimate for 8.1 either. Highly disapointed. Support dont answer queries properly, just generic answers. Really very poor service.
