Łukasz is a great instructor at the Leeds branch. He constantly corrected my driving mistakes, and I was finally able to pass my C driving test.

My learning experience has been wonderful. Thank you Heidi for being so patient and talkative during my lessons to make me feel at ease definitely would recommend to others you won't be disappointed as she have a lot of experience on teaching people how to drive.

My experience at MT training in Plymouth this week has been great. Steve was really patient and informative every day throughout training and the explained every detail throughout. From his guidance and knowledge I passed my test first time. Highly recommended!

Had my 4 day class C course with Paul this week, it was fantastic! He's a brilliant instructor easy to speak to and very informative, I'll be recommending Hughes to anyone and everyone who i find out is wanting a hgv liscence thanks to him😁

Passed my HGV test first time thanks to some excellent training from Mark and Nick. Hadn’t even driven a van before so that shows how good their instruction skills are.

Had my class one at the Leeds depot. Chris was my instructor and he made the training enjoyable ,clear instructions and I enjoyed my time there . When I did my test I was nervous but he gave me a pep talk and I passed 1st time . As I would recommend and the other staff helped me when I struggled with reversing at first .

I recently completed my HGV training with HDT Northampton and honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. From the very first enquiry right through to the test day, everything was handled professionally and efficiently.

The instructors were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. They explained everything clearly and made sure I felt confident behind the wheel. Their teaching style made a huge difference, especially when learning manoeuvres and preparing for the practical test. Nothing ever felt rushed and they were always happy to answer questions.

The vehicles were well maintained and easy to learn in, and the training itself was structured really well. Each session built on the last, which helped me improve quickly and feel fully prepared.

What really stood out was how supportive the whole team was. They genuinely want you to succeed and go out of their way to help you pass. Thanks to their guidance and encouragement, I passed my test and feel confident starting my HGV driving career.

If you're thinking about getting your HGV licence, I would definitely recommend HDT Northampton training company. Professional, friendly, and excellent training from start to finish.

Big thank you to hughes for helping me pass. Keith my instructor was amazing, making me feel confident in my abilities and putting me at ease when it came down to the test.

The full package from C licence to C+e cost £1800. Booked 2 months in advance of my start date.
For this i only had one specific request that I be instructed by a specific instructor, which was allegedly granted by Jake, the young, enthusiastic sales person. He confirmed that it was booked with the instructor.
Upon confirmation and payment I received an email with my name spelled wrong. !! Red flag.
The day before my training I got a text message from a different instructor who I was booked with.!
After some messages I was given no option but to take the new instructor.
Thankfully Paul was great and didn't take offense of my specifics. And apologies we're given on behalf of HDT by him.
My schedule was set prior and Paul advised me of this.
Second day HDT had put a spanner in the works by sticking someone elses test on my training time. Plans then changed where I had to have another driver in with me while training. Absolutely out of order by HDT. Again Paul apologized for this and we worked something out. The planning in my case was totally void of any consideration for a simple request I submitted and my personal training schedule with a one on one instructor. 0 - 10 for HDT as a company on that score for an £1800 cost.
Paul however was brilliant. I know it wasn't his fault for the mix up but we made the best of absolutely crap planning and consideration by HDT.
We got on well and despite the issues. I got a pass.
But HDT must learn lessons from this shameful situation.
If it weren't for Paul and my work round it attitude, even though I'd spent £1800. This could have ended being a very costly lesson for me!!

Had my training with Keith, good lad with excellent way to teach! Passed it first time!

The whole experience has been amazing from start to finish Neil my instructor has been a tentative caring and thoughtful the whole way through the learning experience and I feel like if I haven’t had that guidance and time then I wouldn’t have achieved what I got out of it hundred percent guaranteed would use this company again

Just passed my hgv class 1 today after 4 days training,and it wouldn’t have been possible without the guys here who train you.
I had the pleasure of meeting lucaz who put me through some tough training,but all the training paid off, so would just like to say a big thankyou to Lucaz and all the team what made this possible.
Definitely would recommend anyone who is wanting to do the heavy goods training to give this company a try.

I recently passed my Class 1 driving test and I want to thank my trainer Nick for the excellent support and guidance during my training. The lessons were clear, professional, and very well organised. My trainer was patient, knowledgeable, and always explained everything in a simple and easy way.
They helped me gain confidence driving the vehicle and made sure 1 was fully prepared for the test. Thanks to their teaching and encouragement, I was able to pass my Class 1 test successfully.
I highly recommend this trainer to anyone who wants professional driving training. Great instructor and a very positive learning experience!

Had an 8 hour refresher today with Paul from Leeds training branch could not recommend enough! Very knowledgeable and great instructor. Hadn’t been in a hgv since 2017 and feel i can confidently drive one again commercially thanks to Paul.

Well I had a really good week at hughes driver training, i got treated with respect and got taught the proper way. My experience learning how to drive was excellent, the staff are very friendly and I highly recommend training with the company, I had a amazing instructor called Richard, very helpful very respectful and helped me pass my course at the end of the week. Richard was very respectful, gave me all the knowledge I needed and took the time to teach me right, very good instructor. Thanks a lot for the time and thankyou for a good experience.

Nick was amazing taught me everything thoroughly and made the experience enjoyable all throughout. Amazing instructor and wouldn’t choose anyone else !

Paul M, my instructor, put me at ease for my first time in a Class 1. We had a great week working on developing the skills required and breezed me through the final driving assessment.

Everything is well planned, communication is brilliant and instruction is second to none.
