Pleasant Stay.

Great hotel and amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful all throughout our stay. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The only issue was the A/C which was a bit noisy.

Unprofessional and disappointing

Booked a special Anniversary trip. Thought we chose wisely , until we arrived. Arrived to check in and the girl at a small table set up, was our check in person, she seemed bothered by the couple ahead of us and also us.. taking time away from her. She made it clear that this check in desk would be closed indefinitely.
She was not friendly at all, and told us our room number and that was it.
We went to our room and weren’t impressed at all. Immediately hair on the floor in the bathroom, Extension wires everywhere. Tried to find housekeeping to ask to mop our floor and they were no where to be found. But thought we would make the best of it. We left to start our time there, came back to doors locked and to be told that we had to enter thru the Caption Hyatt doors. This was a small walk and had to enter in this hotel and No one acknowledged us as we walked in and had to find our way to our room, which was about a 5 minute walk.
This was every time we left and came back. Our hotel doors were locked every time. No restaurant was open, no bar, and the ice machines... hardly worked. No one would acknowledge us except twice and it was a young bellman.
We asked for help with dinner reservations from the manager that said she would get back with us and never did.
Our room was not the cleanest and house keeping, well we only saw once while there. The phone worked when it wanted to. The floor had hair on it, and there was a bathroom leak, and when I told the lady at the front desk of Caption Hotel, she never said a word. The towels ended up being yellow form wiping the floor up. No one would come and check it out or offer to clean up. One night the room above us , apparently had someone jumping off the bed. After several times we called down and asked for someone to do something. They were not nice about it.
Every light in our room was plugged up with extension cords all over the place. Some plugs did not work.
Asking for help was not easy and most acted like they had more important things to do on their phones. We tried to go up to the roof top because the manager said we could use Cations hotel amenities. That didn’t work. We were not allowed up. The night we decided to eat at the restaurant we were told it was closed. On a Sunday night.
No one told us when booking that there would be these issues. No one told us we would have to go through another building just to get to our room and that that nothing would be open, food, lounge, bar... nothing. I felt sorry for anyone elderly and handicapped as to see how far the walk was.
We chose Hyatt thinking it was on the corner of Beale street and looked so nice in the photos.
This was not case, this was a waste of money and wasn’t at all the anniversary trip I expected.
I have reached out and no one has tried to even acknowledge the issues.
SO disappointing. I also have photos.

Theft and disgust at Hyatt House Rea…

Theft and disgust at Hyatt House Rea Farms in Charlotte

I stayed at the Rea Farms Hyatt House in Charlotte, NC. It was a HORRIBLE stay!!!! Not only did the house keeper put a soiled toilet paper roll back for me to use after the toilet overflowed but she stole some of our Christmas gifts and said she took it out because it was trash. It was literally a FULL bottle of whiskey, a MyQ video camera keypad and a $200 Visa gift card. The hotel's assistant general manager called me to offer no monetary compensation but a free night stay. After going off and contacting Hyatt. She called me at 7:17am the next morning saying she quit because they had her so things that were beneath her. She said if I needed a statement from her for a lawsuit she was willing to assist me. I spent the day after Christmas in a hotel lobby waiting for the police and doing a police report instead of playing games with my family because they stole my stuff. Not to mention the guy at the front desk had a video recording of my room that the house keeping supervisor sent him while I was in the lobby with the police. Have yall ever stayed somewhere and they show you a video of all your items in a room?! The answer should be NO! Also, reminding you that she never mopped the floor after the toilet overflowed and put soiled toilet paper back on the roll for me to use. I already got a lawyer but definitely sharing so yall can avoid Hyatt House area Farms in Charlotte!

Hyatt place augusta ga

Hyatt place augusta ga. Is a worn out hotel with inadequate manager John! Non trained desk personnel left to run hotel with no manager onsite. Continuing to charge credit card 6 days after departure. Also over charged us the first time by 96+ dollars. Do not stay here if you don't watch your accounts because they are thieves.

Spent almost 30 min on the phone waiting. The website didn't work (my member # was from before the pandemic, but I couldn't even get a link for a new reservation).
What a horrible experience. The future will determine if I ever book with them again, such an unprofessional company.
And such tacky, annoying, muddled music as you wait.

Hyatt Hill Country no better than Motel 6

One of the reasons that we chose to return to this particular resort was the spa. We planned an extended weekend stay as an “spa getaway”. Upon arrival and much to our dismay, we were told that the spa was completely shut down. We were then directed to a hot tub near the pool. Not only was this not the spa experience we were anticipating, the hot tub itself was lukewarm and quite uninviting.
That evening we were kept awake by groups of girls running and yelling up and down the halls at night. Apparently they were there for a dance competition and we were placed on the same floor in the middle of this large group. This happened even though my husband and I aren’t affiliated with this group. We are older adults who could no way be mistaken as a part of this group.
Inside our room, we soon realized that the shower didn’t drain. We contacted the front desk and were assured that it would be addressed. The next day we realized that the shower had not been addressed and the shower was still not draining. But let me add that now we did not have hot water. So our showers consisted of standing in dirty, backed up water without any hot water.
As return guests, we were given a room overlooking a construction site.It was unsightly and far from a “resort” experience. The balcony was shockingly in horrible disrepair; rotted wood and peeling paint. Touted as a family friendly resort, I cannot image letting a child out on this balcony do safety reasons. We have stayed in lesser hotels in better condition.
So for the money we spent at your “resort” we received a Motel 6 experience. It was an incredibly disappointing experience for not only the charges incurred but the reputation of the brand name.

Hyatt Place in Newark, California: Want to be bitten by bugs? Stay here!

This is specifically related to the new Hyatt Place Newark/Silicon Valley, California. Other Hyatt properties have mostly been fine, other than this one and another Hyatt Place a couple of miles away (Hyatt Place - Fremont California) which is also sub-par. I have stayed at many Hyatt properties in the Bay Area, most of which have been excellent. Not these two.

As for the Newark, CA property, I had an initial visit a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I was bitten by bugs of some kind, with very very visible marks. The room also had a somewhat putrid odor. I am not one to make a scene, so I very politely and simply mentioned it upon departure. I initially asked if the general manager was around and was told by the front desk that they do not have a general manager on-site and basically operate on their own. So, instead I just mentioned the situation to a front desk supervisor. I did not ask for a refund nor was I agitated. Her response was really quite rude. She said: “Thanks for letting me know” in an “I don’t really care” style. End of conversation. Fast-forward to this past week. I stayed again and, as it turned out, I was given the same room. However, I travel a lot and did not remember the room number from the initial stay. The following day I noticed actual insects crawling around, including on the bedding and the room again smelled horrible. I called the front desk and the night shift gentleman was extremely helpful and brought keys to a new room. When I opened the door the first thing he said was: “Oh wow, this room does smell terrible.” He was very nice and helpful. Again I had some insect bites and also, the room was not properly cleaned, which was really pretty distasteful and ridiculous. Fortunately, I took a bunch of pictures to show the management in an effort to be helpful but once again, I was told there were no management personnel on-site. Anyway, I paid the bill and left, after again letting the front desk know. As you can see, there was no rancor on my part nor did I decline to pay. It is, however, an odd way for them to treat a major Hyatt frequent traveler with well more than a million lifetime Hyatt points across family accounts. Interestingly, I also had exchanged emails immediately prior to the stay with a member of their sales team about some upcoming groupings that I was interested in talking with her about. Obviously, I am not going to stay there, much less book any colleagues or groups at this place. My advice: Stay at and, in general trust Hyatt brands domestically and internationally, as I have. You will most often have a very good experience most of the time. But, STAY AWAY or, use abundant caution when it comes to this hotel and also, the Hyatt Place two miles away in Fremont, California. These two properties most certainly do not reflect Hyatt’s usual level of quality and customer care. And, should you happen to book these properties being a ton of cleaning supplies and some insecticide or alternatively, some medication to put on your insect bites.

The worst 5star hotel ever !

The Hyatt Regency Dubai.
5 star 😂 it is not !!!
First day by the pool, I ask the guy at pool bar for some ice ! It was like asking for the Taj Mahal ! He basically accused me of bringing my own alcohol to the pool and asking for ice. I do not drink in the day ! One of the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with. Then lunchtime the sun goes behind the main building for the rest of the day ! Kiss your sunbathing goodbye ! Then day six I get food poisoning from the Japanese restaurant ! The worst stomach cramps ever. I go to reception the next day to report it , food and drink manager and restaurants manager come over and basically say nobody else had a problem and it’s your fault. Unbelievable! I ask for some food to be sent to the room, which I have paid for, because I’m not well enough to eat in the restaurant ! Their reply, that’s room service, and we will charge you extra ! Really !! They did not give a SH-T !!! Then the list goes on and it doesn’t get any better. The breakfast restaurant is at best 1 star. Very basic food and certainly not 5 star. Carpets dirty and stained, upholstery tatty !Everything in the hotel extortionately priced. ! Which was why the bar was ALWAYS empty !
I kick myself for not looking at the Trustpilot reviews before I booked the hotel. They are shocking. !!! The shops in the hotel claim to give you 60% discount ! The prices are just inflated by 60% first. The dishonesty is quite staggering !
Without a shadow of doubt the worst 5star hotel I have stayed in.
My advice to everyone avoid this hotel like the plague !!!!!!

Very very tired rooms

Very very tired rooms. If you want late checkout after arriving at 2am you have to pay by the hour. Points never seem to appear on my account despite being told my membership was on the invoice.
I won't bother with them again. Ill go back to novatel/Mercure despite their on site staff being way less are pleasant or helpful than Hyatt staff.

Really not a great hotel

Really not a great hotel, we stayed at Hyatt centric in Nashville and things weren’t working or weren't present.
Coffee machine didn’t work, door fell off the fridge, I needed to use a laptop for an emergency work thing and they had no facility , so would t stay there for business either.
In general the staff are pretty unhelpful all round.
We were asked to invest in Hyatt a couple of years ago as a timeshare… thank god we didn’t

Currently staying at Dreams Calvia in…

Currently staying at Dreams Calvia in Mallorca. Never have I been to an all inclusive resort where there is no access to free drinking water between the hours of midnight and 8am. No water stocked at reception and guests are told they have to buy it or wait until breakfast. There are families here with tiny babies, being denied free water throughout the night. Pure greed and Absolutely unacceptable.
On top of this, I would say 80% of the staff here are incredibly rude. I can appreciate it’s coming to the end of the season and they may be getting fed up with tourists, but at the end of the day, they still operating and happy to take our money in order to pay their wages. When paying nearly £2k for what should be a relaxing experience, I do not expect bar and waiting staff to make me feel uncomfortable for ordering a drink. It’s hard to switch off when nearly every encounter is unpleasant. Don’t waste your money on this place. Disgusting and shameful.

I booked a special rate that was said to be their best price

I booked a special rate that was given to patients at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. This was supposed to be their lowest rate but non refundable. I later found on their website the rate was $22 per night less but Hyatt will not match the price even though they have a price match guarantee. Expected better from Hyatt. No quality or customer service anywhere anymore

Lies and Marketing Gimmicks

"The Best Rate Guarantee" on Hyatt's website is a pure lie and a marketing gimmick. I booked through their site and shared screenshot for booking DOT com where price was lower. First they said they can't 'reproduce' the rate on booking DOT com due to secret deal which they can't see. I provided them further explanation that even if you remove special discount from Booking DOT com, their price is still higher.
Once I sent them all screenshot with clear markings and asked them to share what they can see, they stopped responding.
I had a decent experience with actual hotel but their customer service who responds to best rate guarantee requests is like you are talking to a wall!

Do not stay at Kissel hotel in Downtown Oakland

I don't like to write negative reviews but this hotel has forced my hand. This hotel is shady...straight up. I'm a man of principal, honesty and I work too hard to get treated the way I have been. Let me get into it...

On August 10th, I went to support a good friend of mine (Booziebrunch) for a brunch she was hosting. As most of you know, downtown Oakland is known for folks getting their cars broken into so I decided to valet my car since it was connected to the hotel.
Upon returning later that night, I see the valet guys duct taping my driver side mirror due to them breaking it. I'm a patient man and Kissel seemed to be a good spot so I didn't get mad, I would let my insurance handle it and this would be fixed. No harm, no foul.

Fast forward to today and they have STILL yet to contact me. Each time I call, I am either given the run around or hung up on. Marcela Barrientos was supposed to contact me and she hasn't. I've called and emailed her multiple times. This is very disheartening.

Since I do not live in Oakland anymore, I am unable to visit in person but I will never return nor stay here. It's clear to see that they don't mind taking your money but won't do the right thing and correct their mess ups. Apparently they are affiliated with Hyatt and I have submitted an official complaint with them.

I accidentally booked at the hyatt…

I accidentally booked at the hyatt centric in new york city when my intentions were the Grand Hyatt in new york city, they told me they would not refund me unless i emailed them that i booked the stay at Grand Central, so I did and emailed them, they emailed me back with a receipt of another guest, imagine that. My firsy night at Grand Central, my shower was backing up, i told the agent at the desk, she said i am sorry and that was it. My second day i had requested many times toothpaste and some extra bath towels, i had to call multiple times, i finally got toothpaste and no towels. I called guest services again, never got any towels. You would think 2000 dollars for three days the experience would be great, not here. I emailed Mark Hoplamazian, the ceo of hyatt and called his office and left message, got no calls or emails back. Finally some nasty woman named Gigi emailed and said we will put points on your account, the points wont even cover one night, i suggest for you to look elsewhere besides hyatt.

Hyatt Anchorage - a most disappointing experience!

I am staying at the Hyatt Place in Anchorage, Alaska with nine friends. We are paying over USD 400 a night and the hotel is worse than a one star bed & breakfast.
They do not make up the rooms unless you specifically ask them (and then they forget), the cutlery in the restaurant is all plastic (definitely not ecological) and the selection of food in the restaurant is pretty poor.
However, the staff are nice but there is clearly a problem with under staffing.
A most disappointing experience and certainly not what you would expect from a hotel of this supposed quality
