A Rare Find coupled with excellent service

Hypermotive provided an honest and open experience without any sales pressure.
I made an appointment with Richard the owner to view his range of vehicles following my interest in a VW t -roc.
I was so amazed with his selection he had available based on quality and his trading pursuit of excellence coupled with outstanding customer service throughout my visit.
The good news I made a purchase of a prestigious VW that was a fantastic find. Low mileage and nearly new at a massive saving .
This business wins my vote of confidence for future service and maintenance support.
Thank you Richard and to wish you and your team every success for the future.

I want to leave an honest review to…

I want to leave an honest review to warn others about my experience.

The sales department is extremely disappointing and not to be trusted. The salesman I dealt with was not only rude, but also gaslighting – trying to turn the blame on me only three days after I purchased a vehicle that clearly had issues. The car had a clutch fault, which he repeatedly tried to deny, even though the signs were there from the beginning. Instead of taking accountability for selling a faulty car, he acted as if it was somehow my fault. This is unacceptable behavior and shows a complete lack of customer care or professionalism.

When I first complained, I could see in his face — his body language said it all — he knew there was a problem, yet he still denied it. It was only because I pushed further, insisting on going out for a test drive with the mechanics to prove the issue, that it was finally acknowledged. Sure enough, the mechanic agreed with me straight away that the clutch was faulty and was very apologetic on behalf of the sales side. If I hadn’t stood my ground and insisted, nothing would have been done.

Then, when I came back to book it in for the clutch replacement, the salesman had the audacity to say: “I wish that we could have dealt with this sooner.” I was in absolute shock and disbelief at what I was hearing. Considering he was the one denying the issue in the first place, his comment only heightened my concerns about his honesty and left me feeling even more unhappy about how I had been treated.

The reluctance of the salesman to address the problem, along with his attempts to gaslight me, are huge red flags for anyone considering buying from here. A salesman should be transparent, respectful, and supportive, but sadly that was far from the case.

That said, credit where credit is due – the mechanics are absolutely brilliant. They are worth their weight in gold and have done everything they can to help me. The service team deserves 5 stars for their hard work and honesty.

Unfortunately, the unprofessional conduct of the sales department has completely soured my experience. A business is only as strong as its reputation, and because of this salesman, the company has left a very bad mark in my book. I strongly advise anyone considering buying a vehicle here to be extremely cautious when dealing with the sales team.

Sold me a £25k that had issues with suspension that he refused to resolve. He did pay a small nominal contribution but no where near enough what was required.

Later found out car had accident damage which resulted in car be devalued when resold.

Aircon problem with Honda CRV 2005

Aircon problem with Honda CRV 2005 - took to locally advertised "expert auto conditioning engineer" who could not diagnose the problem confidently and left system drained of refrigerant. Expecting the worst, took the car to Hypermotive in Alma Road - delighted with the outcome - Steve diagnosed the fault and repaired it very quickly - charged only the recharge fee plus half an hour labour - now that is what I call great service !!!!
Thank you Hypermotive

OUTSTANDING

Dan and his colleagues are fantastic. Hard working bunch of people. They helped me learn that the other garage I was using had been taking advantage of me. I take both my family car and work van to them. On the bigger jobs I've had done to my van I have been offered a courtesy vehicle.

selling dodgy faulty cars AVOID!

Awful experience, do not buy from here look elsewhere!
They sold me a audi A4 2011 plate with 50K miles on the clock. They released the vehicle to me and "forgot" to fit parts which were required to pass the MOT! when I returned the vehicle to fit the missing parts the oil light came on whilst driving down. The engine had a internal oil leak and the whole engine needed replacing. All this within 2 weeks of purchase. The owner told me to drive 1000 miles to test if its leaking or not even though he told me it was! (just trying to get out of the 3 months engine warrenty they sold it with). I returned the vehicle and Sat there for hours waiting for my money back and it was far more awkward and drawn out than it needed to be. Owner was very difficult and clearly only interested in money selling faultly cars with no sympathy to the consumer.

Don’t trust

Purchased a car from these guys.
Seemed really helpful for the most past.

I took the car on a test drive around the local roads and it was fine.
I made the purchase, drove the car away, and whilst on the motor way I noticed a noise coming from the front left. I took it back to the garage straight away and said I think it’s the wheel bearing. They checked it, they said it wasn’t, instead said it was the rear tyre.

Long story short, I changed the tyres and the noise was still there.
I took it to another garage and they said it was the bearing.

As far as I’m concerned, they wanted the sale and then rid of me. Not happy.

Don’t trust them.

And if they are reading this, I challenge them to get in contact.

A rare commodity ~ a car repair organisation you can truly trust

I have used Hypermotive on three occasions recently for servicing and work on two different vehicles. I am not accustomed to leaving reviews online but am prompted to do so by virtue of their superb and ethical service within the car servicing sector. It is exceedingly rare to find a 'mechanic' who you can truly say 'I trust them implicitly' but Dan and his organisation have truly proven themselves to be just such a rarity. They now have a customer for life .... The awards they have received from TrustPilot are truly merited.

Engine Decontamination Treatment(EDT) at Hypermotive Garage

All the family's vehicles are serviced here. With fair pricing and great attention to detail, the team have never let us down. When our Ford Mondeo 1.8tdci with 80k on the clock was last due for service, Danny recommended an Engine Decontamination Treatment (EDT). He claimed it would clean out the accrued muck from oilways, bearings, sump etc.and quote "bring a smile to my face or your money back". Gosh, what a difference it has made. Less engine clatter, smoother power delivery, more mpg and has indeed put a smile on my miserable face! An Audi A1 and a Fiat motorhome will be going in for the same EDT at their next service point.
