iFly Manchester

We visited iFly Manchester yesterday. It was an amazing experience. A special thank you to Brian, one of the instructors. He was so calm and patient and made my children take part with greater confidence. An excellent activity!

Fantastic Experience and the most lovely staff

Went for the first time to Milton Keynes iFly. Asolutely fantastic day out. All was as booked online: we had an induction (how to and safety), got the gear and went flying with the instructor. Very welcoming athmosphere throughout, positive and encouraging instructor, exhiliarating experience - we had a blast! All felt safe and well organised. Warmly recommended!

Employees 5* Business Ethos 0*

Found it quite difficult to give a rating for iFly as the company management from the top seems horrendous - only interested in making money not their customers, however the people working at iFly (the ones that have to abide by the company rules) are brilliant, really friendly, helpful and work hard.
If I could give stars to the employees I dealt with I'd give 5.
The business ethos get 0 stars.

Save your money

What a great experience

We finally visited ifly at Basingstoke after having to re book 3 times due to COVID. Both my Partner and I were a bit nervous about doing it but the staff made us feel very relaxed. Our instructor Amy was absolutely brilliant and gave us a great preflight briefing and was brilliant during the flight. She also wowed us with her expertise at the end of the session. Lewis on reception was extremely helpful with out photos and overall the experience was brilliant. I would never ever jump out of a plane but We will be back to do this.

Taking advantage of the pandemic

I booked our experience which was cancelled due to covid, we got an email saying don’t call us we will contact you with a new booking date, sure enough, never heard anything from them. Contacted to try and rebook and they put ‘you booked with virgin experience days, you’ll need to ask them if the voucher is still valid’- this is utter tosh.

What a way to rip off customers that missed out because of the pandemic

0 star not an option

0 star not an option! Very bad customer service. Booked to fly was asked if any previous shoulder dislocations. Was told because it was over 10 years it shouldn't be a problem. They claim they advised my wife that we should ask a doctor if it would be OK (I challenge anyone to see a doctor with a weeks notice for something this insignificant in current times). They however did not say that they would refuse to let me fly without a doctors say so. On they day the just pointed to their fine print and refused to let me fly or to refund anything. Thank you for the worst day of my life!

Just went to Milton Keynes for a hen…

Just went to Milton Keynes for a hen party and it was absolutely amazing! We had an incredible instructor called Charlie who was fantastic at showing us what we needed to do. He explained all the options and made the whole experience amazing for us all. Such a great afternoon. Thank you Ifly - thank you Charlie !!

What a complete waste of Time & Money #️⃣ RIP OFF

We paid £58 for us to spend about 90 seconds between us in the chamber then to be told that we'd need to spend another £10 each to do a spin and go to the top of the chamber which lasted about 5 seconds. £78 in total it's a complete Rip Off! How these places manage to continue operating who are effectively ripping off people is beyond me. Suffice to say I'd wish I'd read the reviews first and that's my fault. My advice is save your money, advoid the disappointment and spend your money somewhere else or better still give it to charity, you'll feel more satisfied.

Great enjoyable experience

Took my Son and Daughter for a belated Christmas gift (due to Covid) to Ifly Manchester.
There was free adequate parking and the receptionist was very helpful on arrival.
The viewing area was a lot better than I had anticipated with plenty of opportunities to take photos.
My Son and Daughter truly enjoyed the experience, thanks to David their instructor and really valued their day out.
Thanks Ifly for making a truly enjoyable day for them both.

Condescending manager

Just spoke to a person who claimed he was the manager about email i just received to upgrade my experience. He was rude, condescending and just unprofessional. We haven’t even had the flying experience yet. This is a surprise for my daughter. Now there is no refund. I can only hope they provide a good experience for her and her friends. Very disappointing way to start her birthday.

Business of one and done...It was fun but..

Business of one and done...It was fun but kind of a rip off. I gifted this experience to my bf & I for our 3 year anniversary. Paid about $300 for the experience & photos & videos. We were fortunate to catch on to the technique sooner than others but they cut that out your time. You only get 1.5 minutes... like wow. The first session he literally held us on the ground while we got our technique.. that certainly shouldn't count. We then went online to get our PREPAID photos and videos and they were TRASH. Like if someone is paying.. let alone prepaying for them, be sure to get some good ones... The guy behind the controller were just snapping random photos.. not even being intentional about it. THEY DID NOT SHARE you can view the photos after and then see if you actually like them THEN purchase. I guess that was my fault for not asking..lesson learned. I thought it was really fun. My bf said he wouldn't go back after learning how much it costs. Sucks cause I would surely go back if they fixed a few things. But NOW I see everyone's terrible reviews my experience...

I would not recommend going

I would not recommend going! I got there at the time they told me to get there and because they said we were late and wanted to take so long to see if we could still fly, they then came to us and said we couldn't, even after being on time. absolutely gutted because we traveled for an hour to get to the destination. very disappointing.

Do not waste your money I booked this…

Do not waste your money I booked this as a treat for my boys. They had less than 2 minutes in the Ifly dome. They were then asked (not me) if they would like to go up high, this was included within the 2 minute time slot to which they both said yes. I was then given an additional payment of £16 at the end, so total costs for 1min 50 seconds £38. The boys enjoyed it but thought they both said not enough fly time. I wouldn't go back.

Brilliant experience, great with nervous flyers.

I have recently visited the iFly Basingstoke. This was purchased at Christmas, but due to COVID moved to September. Very punctual, sent an email out offering to rebook as soon as possible. We arrived 30 mins early, as suggested. We booked in very easily and went straight up. Receptionist was very helpful guiding us where to go. I flew with another family member. We went up, should've done the briefing at home but they gave us a recap then took us through to put our kit on. My younger sister got extremely nervous and ended up having a crying meltdown and did not want to fly anymore, but the instructor, Dom was ever so helpful. He turned the fan low so she could walk out and see how it felt before flying and gave her so much reassurance and confidence. This made both our experiences really good and I cannot praise him enough... Thank you! She now wants to go again, so definitely worth the money - even for nervous flyers.
