Awesome service
Awesome service. I usually make lists of movies that I wantr to watch. also there are lists of top moves or tv series by years. it’s very convenient.

Always had a great experience with the website, but now it is just a letdown.
It used to be a reliable source
It used to be a reliable source. These days they just decline reviews for whatever reason who knows who decides.
Many of the reviews are written by the movies’ cast, producers, and/or relatives of people involved.
I happened to read a review of a movie in which the reviewer went on and on about the excellent acting, talent, promising future of someone in the cast. The actor being praised in the long. Review was a kid who had a 30 second scene in the whole movie!
I left a very bad review about a cooking show led by an Italian TikTok celebrity. I reviewed it for a second time when my first review suddenly disappeared. The second one never made it.
There is an arbitrary manipulation. Also, they force you to write 500 characters while you can see there are posted reviews of just two lines.
I will not waste my time writing there again.
should be renamed internet movie youtube stars onlyfans models database
fond memories during early days of internet dial up access, open up the website and read all fascinating information about famous actors and movie trivia of all the renown movies during the last half the amazing nineties. I had so much fun on a late evening with a good steaming hot cup of tea. I visit the site currently thirty years later today, and so many youtubers and adult stars are given an entry where they are listed as actors, may I ask why?
we have fabulous movie stars of our time, like Mel Gibson, Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro, Brad Pitt and then, Pat the Podcast Punk.. who presumably is in the same league now. How is he considered an actor, why is he given an entry as an actor? I have never seen him in any movie, unless you count a tiny cameo of his in someone else's youtube movie.
you could ask yourself the question where to draw the line, for example James Brown and Mike Tyson aren't actors, just because they starred in a few bigger production movies you could add them to its own movie cast, fine I guess, but youtube stars? Are youtube stars automatically actors? Is that the way it works? They don't have to be in movies or ever have attended one single acting school class??
Like some adult stars as Lindsey Dawn and Leanne Crowes they are known for their big smiles and their even more bigger or impressive pairs of whoppers, but I do not think acting would make the top ten. So why are they given an entry as actresses, note here that you cannot find them right away in the search bar but you can so by finding her biography where she is listed as "Leanne Crow was born on June 2, 1988 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England, UK. She is an actress." She is an actress ..what for exactly? being mute and unveiling her ginormous memories? yeah, I am trying to describe it nicely here.
then there is legendary big budget long-running tv-series like star trek, the simpsons, breaking bad, miami vice, tales from the crypt and so on and on which all include real talented movie stars, but apparently the bold and the bankrupt is also a tv-series now, which is a big lie, it is a youtube channel with videos that were never televised. And it is some guy that goes around filming unscripted in former soviet states. Is that in the same league now? episode list?? what? documentary???? you mean that everything these youtubers can upload nowadays is considered an episode now???
I am speechless, that's like if I wrote my name down with a biro pen, I call myself a novelist and therefore considered myself in the same league as Ray Bradbury, Victor Hugo, Dickens, Orwell and HG Wells.
A POINTLESS WASTE OF MY TIME
Sick to death of writing contributions just to have them declined without notice or explanation. The whole site depends on contributions to work and they obviously have ZERO respect to those trying.
Was NOT surprised to see Amazon own them.
I'll be deleting my account. What a waste of my time.
Garbage antiquated UI/Interface and Support
Ever since Amazon took over a year ago, it's been a complete super sh*tfest, from UI interface glitches that muck up your credits, to image/video uploads that crash or don't work half the time.
Agreed - unacceptable that Pro relies on vague terms hidden within subscriber agreements to justify their 'opaque practices' A reputable service would inform its users seeking explicit consent before continuing maneuvers.
Such experience has cost me time and unnecessary stress frustration in dealing with their otherwise growing antiquated interface, that has long been in need of an upgrade - and Support.
IMDbPro’s lack of transparency, unclear cancellation process, and questionable billing practices are duly disappointing. If you’re considering this service, be prepared to face poor communication, lax 'support' and a complete disregard for your rights as a user professional and consumer. Who makes you jump through hoops just to get errors corrected.
Most unacceptable for the professionals who PAY for this dog-fest with no getting around. Wished there were other platform options.
COMPLETE SCAM/UNETHICAL
COMPLETE SCAM/UNETHICAL. I was a loyal customer of their pro service for YEARS and all of a sudden out of the blue they claimed my verified true G rated contributions broke their rules and they literally banned me on NOV 28th after my yearly subscription just renewed on NOV 11th for a full year and refused to refund the $150 they just took for the full year and this was even after being a loyal customer for YEARS and not even contributing anything unethical or inaccurate that they claimed broke their rules.
Weird.
Weird.
This website does highlight very old movies every time you try to get a ranking of movies, animes...
Things from the 50s, 60s,
Like if from the 60s, nothing or almost nothing was made.
Maybe because these old movies are cheaper for them ??
Censorship, bias, untrustworthy due to bias
I submitted a review with no malice, offensive language or other policy violations except one thing the bias people at IMDB did not like. I pointed out a political leftwing bias with dishonesty of a video "Betrayed" and provided substantiation so the rejected my submission. I read their User review guidelines and did not violate any guidelines. From reading other Trustpilot reviews I see others have had the same experience. I will no longer trust or use this Amazon company IMDB.
Some of the old movies are rated…
Some of the old movies are rated correctly but feel like the new ones are just paid ratings. Need to have some better mechanism to verify reviews. Losing credibility.
Unethical Billing Practices and Lack of Transparency – A Stressful Experience
I initially subscribed to IMDbPro for one month but decided not to continue. However, the cancellation process was unclear and unnecessarily complicated. To avoid unauthorized charges, I blocked the debit card I originally used. Without my explicit consent, IMDbPro then began charging another card linked to my Amazon account—a card I only use for Amazon purchases.
There is no indication within my Amazon account that this card was being used by IMDbPro. The two platforms appear entirely separate, with no visible connection. This lack of transparency is alarming, as it makes it impossible for customers to monitor or manage their subscriptions.
I noticed the unauthorized charges only after carefully reviewing my bank statements. IMDbPro never sent notifications, receipts, or even a warning that they would begin using a secondary card. This kind of behavior demonstrates a blatant disregard for customer trust and raises serious ethical concerns.
It’s unacceptable that IMDbPro relies on vague terms hidden in subscriber agreements to justify such opaque practices. A reputable service would inform its customers and seek explicit consent before switching payment methods.
This experience has cost me time and caused unnecessary stress. IMDbPro’s lack of transparency, unclear cancellation process, and questionable billing practices are deeply disappointing. If you’re considering this service, be prepared to face poor communication, unauthorized charges, and a complete disregard for your rights as a consumer.

This company doesn't support freedom of free speech. I've written many honest movie reviews, mostly positive reviews about the movies I love. However, reviews about the bad movies were mostly rejected. I did not swear, curse or use foul language. If your opinion is against their political guidelines, they will not comply.
great
it is great for many things if I want to research something say an actor I like to see if they are doing something new something impressive
WOW...BAD!
No glossing over this, this has become a site utter BS. Lets start with the reviewing, they need to stop all reviews as none give a true reflection anymore of any movie or tv series, you may as well ask a 2 week old baby, you will get more sense believe me! Ads and a few more Ads have made the site an absolute minefield so much so you can no longer click on the search engine box as its covered by a pop up ad that miraculously takes you to the ads domain even after its had its 5 second "you will look at this or we are going to execute you" vibe.....
Time for me to find a better site thats not going to hold me to ransom.
They continuously showcase a wide range…
They continuously showcase a wide range of voices and perspectives, making their content relatable to a broader audience. It's refreshing to see characters that reflect the world we live in, and their willingness to take risks on underrepresented stories is commendable.

Reviews must conform to IMDB politics!
I wrote an IMDB review a few weeks ago for a TV drama, and got an acknowledgement. Then several days later I looked at IMDB to see what other people had thought of it. There were other recent reviews there, but curiously I couldn't find my review. After rummaging around the site I eventually found that my review had been rejected. IMDB hadn't bothered to tell me why it was rejected, and the information I found just said 'declined', it didn't say why. You are supposed to read through the several pages of guidelines to figure out why they rejected it. I'm not sure if I would have figured it out without looking at the helpful other reviews here. I had criticised the program for pushing 'woke' issues (lesbians, mixed race families, attacking anyone right of centre...) and apparently IMDB will not allow you to do that. Your review has to comply with the same political viewpoint as the people who run IMDB (and most of the rest of the media), otherwise your review will quietly be deleted.
IMDB, Woke propaganda movie reviews BS
This is the third time I wrote a well argued commentary on IMDB about how propaganda is messing up reality. Without insulting any group or person, but just pointing out that facts are completely bent on how certain things took place...and your review will be declined..
Like, what's the point of having reviews if your ''review guidelines'' withhold the truth? Like are all these companies nowadays getting paid to support this woke nonsense?? Done with IMDGay
