Nothing but ads ads ads!!! Slow to load, almost impossible to navigate. Search engine is hit and miss. Used to be user-friendly, now it's just a big digital billboard for advertisements. A lot of missing or incomplete data of TV series. Anyone reading this, do yourself a favour and switch over to TMDB...!

It is ok for movies to spew a political agenda, but God forbid if you call them out in your reviews. My review was clean with no bad words etc, but apparently IMDb is communist/biased and will not publish your review if they don't agree with it. No free speech at IMBd. Just shady...and why don't they have a direct email address to contact them?

I don't understand the bad reviews here about IMDB. I have been a member there since 2016 and I love it and always loved it. Whenever I want to watch a movie, it is the reviews that I read from IMDB that help me decide if this movie is good or not. 99% of the time everyone is right if the movie is good or not, I truly trust the reviews there. I also write reviews myself, which is fun. IMDB is a very informative site and you get loads of info.
I have never had any issues with the site or when using it.
IMDB has always been useful for me, when it comes to movies.
I seriously have no idea what the folks are talking about when they write their bad reviews about IMDB here.

I go way back with IMDB. I always felt well informed. I can even recall when they would put actresses' stats in there. Like height, weight and figure measurements. As a young man I did like that part. Now it is goofy. I tried to look up the newest True Detective and got a lot of dead ends. I'm done wasting my time. Apparently, we are all just consumers as opposed to fellow movie buffs.

IMDb is appalling! As an actor I have paid them 360 GBP over two years. They are unresponsive when you try and change things which are untrue. You have to badger them and they don't take your word even when there is no factual basis for saying you are attached to a project even when it is clear you are not. One of the reasons I went to pro was to change the awful picture of me from a clip from an amateur film. I managed to do that, but now I have stopped paying them they have deleted the more up to date images I supplied and reinstated the bad one. They never took my name off several crummy Australian projects which I was not involved in even when I drew it to their attention. I have never worked in Austalia. The upshot is basically that I am being misrepresented on a global platform and I can do nothing about it. Don't give them your money.

i believe that the reason it hasn't posted the reviews for the new Aquaman movie is b/c the rating is alREAdy at a horrendous 5 point something and the consensus of the reviews in the last 2 days(mine included, a rating of 3 out of 10) would knock the average rating even lower...this is not a trustworthy site by any means.

IMDB was once a great website with reference information, easy to navigate etc.... Now- it's completely bloated with nonstop advertisements, 15 second commercials just totally pathetic...using 'any' other platform going forward. You can barely select anything on a page without being redirected to some awful Auto Play video which will count as a View when in fact I would've never selected it...Never advertise there or go- it's like a giant Spam site with a few facts.

IMDB is worthless. Fake reviews and anyone can put themselves as working a show when they did not. Not trust worthy or worth the money for membership.

Imdb is another marxist woke platform that censors contributors who dare to criticise or even mention movies that push woke agendas. It’s pathetic. This means that scores will be skewed and leftist biased. Imdb is useless.

IMDb is now irrelevant for movie ratings and reviews. Example "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" has 300,000 ten star reviews generated by ChatGPT. Copying any review and checking it using AI detection flags the review as generated.

I would suggest IMDB ratings are fraudulent. We watched (tried to watch) "Smothered", a massively pc, modern and of course hugely UNfunny comedy on Sky Comedy.

I went on IMDB, reviewed it and gave it ONE star. Since then, I've checked and mine is the only user rating there. But, the IMDB summary is 7.1 stars! Apparently they use something called "weighted average" which in plain terms means some votes are more equal than others.

I will take absolutely no notice of their ratings in future.

They used to be well known and respected, now it’s a complete joke and heresy. Some users even put in literal nonexistent media to possibly illegal material which is really stupid.

And I see that some reviewers parrot one another instead of putting their comments in their own words! Where’s the individualism & self-confidence?

Declined Candy Cane Lane review:

Eddie Murphy brings his amazing charm to the film, but it fails due to excessive diversification and mediocre writing. The portrayal of white characters as villains, annoying or competitive neighbors and overly posh anchorman feels exaggerated, diminishing the overall quality of the movie. The inclusion of a black Santa, while potentially interesting, adds to the film's overwhelming diversification approach. A more balanced representation and nuanced diversification could have enhanced the movie more. Sadly this execution resulted in a totally opposite result. This film is definitely to be avoided when watching with kids, it totally misses the point of Christmas.

imdb keeps declining my review without any reason. I didnt used profanity or anything thats offensive. Its probably my oppinion for some reason. I changed it 3 times but still i takes them about a few ours to decline while writen in text on their site it takes atleast 2days to check it. I guess free speech is gone on most sites
