I've been with InMotionHosting for more than 12 years now. Not because I fear of changing hosting and moving my data, but because its simple.
I can't really compare cost, haven't checked yet. But one thing is sure, they make everything easy for you when there's a problem.
I host mainly personal websites and non-profits so I don't make a ton of money from them. So when one of my website got Hacked, they were quick to fix the issue. Cost me quite a bit, but nothing compared to the damage it could have done if I tried to fix it myself.
Maitrey was really helpful in that process.
Again, if you're not a dev or a web professional like me and have an issue with your website, they know what they're doing and they're fast.

After 14 years as a loyal customer, our experience with InMotion Hosting ended in a way no business should ever have to deal with.
On a Friday afternoon, InMotion suddenly suspended our website without warning due to a copyright complaint related to wording on our site. Whether the complaint was valid or not isn’t even the main issue. The real problem was how they handled it.
Within 2.5 hours, our team identified the keyword in question and completely removed and updated it across the website to comply. Despite fixing the issue immediately, there was no way to get the site reinstated because the only department able to review the case was their legal team, which does not operate on weekends.
This meant our business website remained offline for almost three full days, leaving our company stranded with no support, no urgency, and no practical path to resolution.
The amount of unnecessary stress this caused and the damage to our business was significant. Our website is a core part of how we operate, communicate with clients, and generate leads. Being taken offline without warning created disruption for our team, confusion for our clients, and real impact on our operations.
A simple warning, a short grace period, or even a temporary restriction while we corrected the issue would have been reasonable. Instead, the site was taken down instantly, and even after resolving the issue quickly, InMotion offered no way to bring the site back online until Monday.
After 14 years of paying for their services, customer loyalty clearly meant nothing.
Because of this situation, we had no choice but to begin migrating our entire website to another hosting provider just to regain control and stability for our business.
If your business depends on your website being online, this kind of risk is unacceptable. There are many other hosting companies that treat their clients like partners instead of liabilities.

Working with InMotion Hosting has been a very good experience for us. Robert Jenkins and Parag Parikh have been a real help with maintaining and improving our ecommerce website, shopeangee.com.
Early in the partnership, they were willing to meet with me weekly, which made a difference as we worked through priorities and improvements. They also put a tremendous amount of effort into rebuilding the backend of the site to improve the user experience.
What I appreciate most is that they do not just wait around for direction. They work independently, bring ideas to the table, and reach out when they see better ways to handle something. They have also gone above and beyond by helping research replacement options for plugins that were being sunsetted, even when that was not something they were required to do.
Two direct wins for us were converting images from .jpg to .webp to help site performance and moving our review plugins from another platform over to WiserReview. Those are the kinds of practical improvements that actually matter.
